Beautiful Saska’s beauty shot. My photo from my makeup photography lesson finally arrived :) Photographer: Matthew Spiteri Makeup: Zoe Muscat

Here are some snaps from the editorial photoshoot for First magazine, released yesterday in Malta independent newspaper. Enjoyed the experience and happy for the next shoot next week :)
Here is a the one and only shot from the editorial I did, just about 2 weeks ago. The release is tomorrow. So I’m really looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos ^-^ I will upload them either tomorrow or the next day. I hope you like them. Happy weekend to all.
The editorial photoshoot I did on Sunday was really fun. The team was fantastic and quite entertaining too. The photos in the magazine that we see everyday of our lives and take for granted surprisingly are not as simple to create as initially imagined.
Everyone worked very hard and in some difficult conditions with the sun’s heat here in Malta. It was scorching mid day heat and no breeze what so ever! From the model, the photographer, the designer and the makeup artist (me ^-^), everyone worked hard. I’m not allowed to say anything much about the shoot until it is released, nor post photos I took on set. So here’s just a little action photo of me doing Claire’s makeup. It should be released on the 12th July in The Malta Independent newspaper. Stay tuned for my first editorial ;)
All set for tomorrows editorial shoot ^-^ can't wait! Will take photo's and upload if I think people will enjoy ;)
Old Hollywood Look on Model Francesca Mercieca. All products by Eva Garden. Makeup by Zoe Muscat
Today was a tough one. I had an exam this morning from 9am till 6:00pm and it was extremely daunting to have to find 3 models and gather all props needed and get all the portfolio done in a small pressure-some amount of time! But my style is naturally last minute so overall i have done amazingly well if I do say so myself :) I very very almost didn’t have a 3rd model until 2am last night when dear Dia here ;) read my message online. She absolutely saved me.
Forever grateful!
I love it when it all comes together ^-^ So this is my fantasy catwalk look. Its a tribal look for sure... but is it futuristic? If you ignore the clothes and see the design on the face alone, what could be added to pass it as futuristic tribal? Any ideas people?
I was finally able to do my sisters makeup when I visited England but I didn't have all my makeup with my annoyingly.
But yeahhh, when I look at this I really wish I had taken the plum colour on the bottom a bit further down and I also wish I had some form of bronzer to use!
Her eyes are real, she is not wearing contacts if anyone is wondering.
So, makeup aside for a moment... This weekend was a special one for me because I got to fly home from Malta to Sheffield to see a Natty gig that was being performed in my family’s back garden... I have been listening to him for 5 years so this occasion was quite an amazing and unusual experience for me. I flew to my family with my friends from Malta, I spent time with my family and friends from Sheffield. It was my best friends birthday, my step dads birthday and we were having a party/gig. I got to meet Natty and chilled all weekend. That’s a weekend I wish I could get used to ;) Anyway look at him. He had the cutest smile known to man. Here’s a good song by Natty for those who love London reggae vibes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNEzg5b1khY
Some snaps from Malta Fashion Week 2015. A fantastic experience to be apart of that makes me excited for the future :) Life is nice peeps.
My lesson today was different to usual. Neither the other students nor myself managed to get a model with such a ridiculously busy week at Malta Fashion week and trying to finish coursework for deadlines, it was difficult. So since there are 3 of us, the other two girls did makeup on one another and I was working on myself! We were doing trendy commercial makeup. We were all given a subject according to our personalities. One girl had bright red hair so she had a hair product. One girl was wearing floral colours so she got some perfume which is advertised all flowery :) I was given diesel as a subject.. :D I started with a brown Kajal pencil and blended outwards. Around my lash line i was trying to create the most intensity and made sure I didn't set it with a powder because I wanted to achieve a wet look. So on top I applied clear lip gloss. I kept the lips nude a moisturized though I’m not sure how much these translated with this not very professional camera... Oh well. I tried :)
This week was a very exciting week for me because I was lucky enough to participate in the Malta Fashion Week as an assistant makeup artist for my work experience. Biocare Academy which is where I am doing my course arranged this for me and their other students. It was an incredible experience for someone who has never done catwalk makeup or been anywhere close to backstage for a catwalk event. The atmosphere was buzzing. I had the chance to meet people in the business, meet a bunch of models and some of the guys were very sexy ;) and participate in this small islands biggest fashion event! I am feeling very grateful. I worked on Saturday 9th, Tuesday 12th and last night, Saturday 16th :) Sad it’s over now...
If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
Original source unknown but my source is Mia Muscat my mudda who shares with me words of the wise.
This is beautiful Enata wearing a colour contrast look of warm and cool colours. I used colours that would compliment and bring out her stunning eye colour. All products by Eva Garden.
:) I had so much fun doing this makeup for my moms friend Sam. She has such an amazing fun character. So while I was doing her makeup she asked if she should turn the channel to crime investigation or to some ghost programme because she knows what I like which made me feel happy to say the least, and not only that but after we finished the makeup she made me a classic sandwich with crisps :D What more can I ask for... Simple things make me the happiest. Merry Friday people.
