LEGO™ Monkie Kid ShadowPeach Oneshot Fanfic:
The King's Tears
(CW: Mentions of depression, Mentions of self-neglect, etc.)
MK was worried about his mentor. He kept pushing off their training sessions and it's gotten to the point the king has stopped messaging altogether. He let out a small hum, thinking about what to do. He wanted to check up on him but he was busy doing deliveries today so he didn't really have the time. He then got an idea, picking up his phone and texting his other mentor. After all they were close in the past right? Surely he'd be able to figure out what's wrong even though their relationship had been rocky lately.
Speaking of Macaque, he was busy cleaning up his dojo. Since he'd volunteer to train MK sometimes (usually when he thought Wukong was doing a bad job) the dojo would get quite disheveled once they were done. They had been training together quite a lot lately due to Wukong always being "busy". Macaque just chocked it up to him being lazy as always.
Just then Macaque got a ping on his phone. He picked it up and read the text, it was from MK. Macaque gave a slightly annoyed look at what was written. It read, "Hi Macaque, could you please go check on monkey king and make sure he's alright? He hasn't been answering my texts and I'm starting to get worried. I'd really appreciate if you did!"
Macaque sucked his teeth at the message. He already knew how this was going to go, Wukong was going to answer the door and bicker at him about why he even bothered to show up then slam the door in his face as he usually did. It annoyed him to think about it potentially happening again but he just let out a defeated sigh. If it was anyone else asking he probably would've turned it down but it just had to be MK, his disciple, the kid he's unfortunately grown too fond of to turn down. Macaque just replied with an "okay" as he spawned a shadow portal underneath him. Within seconds he was at Wukong's hut's door. Time to get this over with.
Macaque took a deep breath and sighed, then knocked on the door. He waited for a bit, and once he was met with silence he knocked again, speaking this time. "Hey idiot, Are you in there?" He was then met with more silence, his tail flicking behind him in slight annoyance. This was getting ridiculous, maybe this was a waste of time. Just then he looked down and noticed that the door wasn't fully closed, it was open just a crack which was odd. He then figured Wukong wouldn't mind if he let himself in, and if he did he'd just bark at him later.
Macaque walked inside the hut, it looked the same as always. He glanced around, no sign of Wukong in the living room where he usually resided. He then headed straight to his bedroom, and sure enough he found him there laying in his bed facing away from the door.
"There you are, why didn't you answer the door, you moron? I've been knocking for at least five minutes." He said, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes a little at him. He felt a little off put when he was met with silence, usually Wukong would've gave a sassy answer or an insult or something but there was... nothing.
"...Wukong?" He called again, stepping closer to the other simian. Upon closer examination Wukong actually looked quite disheveled. His fur was messy and he looked as if he hadn't slept or eaten in a while. Macaque could feel his heart hurt at the sight.
"Go away..." He muttered, finally responding as he covered his face as he let out a small grumble. As he curled his tail around himself, Macaque just watched him in concern. He'd seen Wukong at low points from time to time but this was a new kind he hasn't really dealt with often. He sighed, sitting down on the edge of Wukong's bed. Whelp, here goes nothing.
"So, this is what you've been doing this whole time huh? Sulking in your room and shutting everyone out?" He asked, watching as the other shifted a little but didn't respond. He then let out another sigh. "You've been worrying us Wukong, c'mon...talk to me"
Wukong just blinked, what could he say? "Oh Macaque you're right, I've been having nightmares of our fight and all the mistakes I've made in the past has been haunting me so much that I don't see the point in trying anymore"? He couldn't, it'd make him weak and hw wasn't weak. He just couldn't find the energy to get out of bed anymore. "Talk...? Talk about what, there's nothing to talk about. I'm fine-" "Now you and I both know that isn't true so don't even try it."
Macaque then got an idea and a smirk formed onto his face. "Fine, be that way. I'll just gladly tell MK that you've been ignoring him and you've found a better successor." He said, feeling satisfaction when Wukong immediately sat up and glared at him. "Don't you dare..." The Monkey King growled, how dare he try to blackmail him. The Warrior's expression then turned serious.
"Then tell me what's going on with you Wukong. You haven't been answering anyone's messages and you've been pushing off MK's training onto me for a couple weeks now. Not to mention you look absolutely horrible right now...so please, just tell me what's wrong. I'm worried about you, we all are."
Wukong frowned as Macaque recounted everything wrong with this situation. He knew he wasn't acting normal, he painfully knew it. He always got like this whenever he felt depressed and it was hitting him quite hard lately. It also didn't help that he kept having nightmares of his past, all the hurtful events that happened over those thousands of years. The ones that hurt the most were always the ones about Macaque, his warrior, his muse. Although he wasn't his anymore was he? No, Wukong had ruined that over his Journey To The West.
"...Why are you even here? Why do you even care?! After all the things I've done to you, all the horrible things...why are you concerned? I don't...I don't understand. I thought you hated me, that you despised me...so why?!"
Macaque figured this was going to happen, Wukong looked like he was on the verge of snapping anyways. He didn't really want to admit it but...Wukong had a point. Why was he here? It was because MK asked him to be there right? Well yes, but that was only half of it. In truth Macaque was also quite worried about the orange furred monkey sitting next to him. He didn't really understand it himself but, seeing him like this hurt. He was used to seeing him all cheery and aloof so to see him so vulnerable and tired was upsetting. He just took a breath and looked into Wukong's tired gaze.
"I care because whether I want to admit it or not, I still care about you. Yes, you did some things in the past that I'm still mad at you for but I did stuff to hurt you as well. We've both made mistakes. Plus, I even if I'm mad at you I can never ever hate you Wukong."
Wukong frowned at his words, and before long tears started to well in his eyes. "You're such a fool... you're an idiot, a moron, I..." He then started to sob as tears ran down his face. Macaque frowned at the sight as instinct took over, he then wrapped his arms around the other and hugged Wukong. He then gently shushed him as he gently tried to comfort him. It felt unfamiliar yet nostalgic at the same time.
Wukong felt the same way, the way Macaque held him reminded him of simpler times. Times when they were closer and loved one another. Wukong had ruined that though, and he may not ever get it back.
Macaque let Wukong cry against him as he waited for him to stop. Once his sobs calmed to sniffles he pulled away from him a little, looking at his face. "You feeling a little better now?" He asked, feeling a little relieved once Wukong nodded a bit. He then cupped his cheek gently.
"Wukong, please believe me when I say we all care about you. You punishing yourself like this, it's not healthy. At all. You can't keep bottling these things up or you'll end up like this."
He spoke gently, rubbing his thumb against Wukong's cheek. It was an old habit of his that was specifically for Wukong. He felt his heart skip a bit of a beat when he felt the other lean into his touch a little, watching as he covered Macaque's hand with his own.
"I know...I just, I don't want you all to think I'm weak or anything..." "Trust me, we'd never think you're weak. You're one the strongest beings I know. Plus it's okay to show a weaker side of yourself, you know I'd never judge you and if anyone dared to say you can't be vulnerable, I'll fight them myself."
It made Macaque happy to see Wukong laugh at that, even if it was just a little. "Thank you, Macaque..." "You're welcome, now let's get you back into shape...also Wukong, please don't shut me out okay? I want to help you. I care about you, so please...let me in."
Wukong paused, then quietly nodded. Maybe it would be good to let Macaque in again, after all he knew him better than anyone right? He hoped he wouldn't regret this.
"Alright... I'll try."
The sillies :D

Human Expenditure Program AU Oneshot Fic: Karma
(CW: Spoilers for HEP)
It was a normal day, or at least as normal as it could get for Harvey. In truth though he was starting to feel quite miserable. Things were happening to his body and his wife, Eun-mi, kept acting as if things were perfectly fine. That he wasn't getting harmed at all. It was sickening to think about, how could she just try to convince him this wasn't happening? Didn't she see the decay of his body? Didn't she hear his pained cries? Was she just ignoring his needs?
After a while Harvey seemed to have enough, he confronted Eun-mi about her awful actions when she logged onto the game again on the 7th day. This would end now, he'd make sure of it.
Once the command prompt appeared, he watched Eun-mi's shocked expression through the screen. She looked so scared, but what really was she scared for? For him or the fact she's losing her easy way to make cash? He didn't know nor did he care anymore.
"If I can't live...if I can't live without pain... I'd rather die than live in your hell." He said, the gaze from his remaining eye cold. He listened and watched as Eun-mi began to grow frantic.
"No, Harvey, no, you don't have to do this! Let me fix it!" Fix it? Fix what? The fact she ruined him? The fact she betrayed him despite being so happy together for so long? She made him think someone actually loved him, that someone actually gave a damn about him. He felt pathetic for actually believing her.
Her voice had become grating to his ears, it was time to finish this. He loaded up the prompt, and activated it. "HARVEY, NO!"
The screen glitched as Harvey let out a scream. It hurt, it burned, it felt like all his atoms were getting electrocuted. Just then a giant flash enveloped the room, and when Harvey opened his eyes...
Harvey was out. He had escaped! He looked down at his bloodied hands and chuckled before he errupted into laughter. What a relief. Eun-mi on the other hand was now the one trapped. She had been uploaded to the nexus. She glanced around horrified as she then saw Harvey, out there, in the real world. She pressed against the screen. "HARVEY, HARVEY LET ME OUT, PLEASE!"
Harvey turned to look at the computer, a smile on his face. He had won, he did it! She wouldn't abuse nor gaslight him anymore. "Doesn't feel great now, does it? Are you scared? Horrified? Well that's exactly how I felt...yet, you didn't care. You cared more about money than you own husband, you tried to keep me from our SON. You're a monster Eun-mi, I hope you know that."
Speaking of his son, he hadn't seen Toby in so long. He needed to find the little lad. Tuning out Eun-mi's words he ventured through the house despite being banged up. He entered the little boy's room, relief filling him as he saw him sitting on his bed.
Toby glanced up upon hearing his door open but he felt a little horrified at the sight. His dad was back but he was so battered and covered in blood, it scared him. He didn't even get to say anything when Harvey rushed over to him and hugged him tightly. Toby could feel his father's body trembling and shake a little with his sobs. Just what had happened to him? The little boy could do nothing but hug him back, tears falling from his own eyes as he relished in the fact his dad was back.
Harvey had made it, and he planned to never leave Toby alone again. He'd make sure of it.

Sick Day
(CW: Vomiting and slight Emetophobia)
Eun-mi was in the living room playing with Toby, it was the weekend so he was home from school which meant they could spend quality time together. The two sat on the couch playing with Toby's toy dinosaurs when they heard the front door open and shut. Harvey was home! Toby bounced off the furniture and raced to the front of the house to greet his father with Eun-mi following as well.
"Daddy!" Toby exclaimed as he hugged Harvey's leg, Harvey gave a weary smile and knelt down, gathering Toby in his arms and giving him a small hug. "Well hey there little buddy, did you have a good day today?" Harvey asked, smiling a little more as his son nodded. Eun-mi leaned in the doorframe leading to the living room as she watched the interaction, a small look of suspicion on her face as she stared at her husband.
"Dear, are you alright? You look tired." She asked, her suspicion melting a little into worry as she saw how tired he looked. Harvey felt a little nervous, he didn't want to tell her that he left the house with a cold.
"I...feel a little under the weather, that's all. Nothing to be worried about." He said, followed by a few beats of silence as Eun-mi narrowed her eyes. She then looked at Toby.
"Toby, could you go gather up your toys please?" She asked, the little boy nodded and left the room. Harvey quickly stood up as Eun-mi approached him, fidgeting nervously as she placed a hand on his forehead.
"Honey you're burning up, I think you have a fever...why didn't you say anything?" She asked, a frown on her face. Harvey straightened his bowtie a bit quietly. "I...I didn't want you to be worried, that's all..plus I can't take any days off from my hustle, y'know?"
Eun-mi frowned even more at his words, she knew they needed the money but she didn't like when he worked himself into submission. Taking one of hands into hers, she gently caressed his cheek with the other. A soft smile coming to her face when he leaned a little into her touch. "Come on silly, you're resting right now." She said as she led him to their bedroom, Harvey knew better than to protest so he didn't. He just walked with her.
After a while Harvey was changed into comfy clothes and tucked in bed, a thermometer in his mouth as Eun-mi sat on the edge of the bed. Once the device beeped she took it out his mouth.
"Hm...your fever isn't that high which is good, but please dear you can't just ignore when you're feeling sick. You need to take better are of yourself." She said softly, running her fingers through his hair in a way to comfort him.
"I know, I'm sorry honey...I just..." Harvey paused for a moment. "I don't want us going broke because I didn't go to my stall for a day." He said quietly, Eun-mi could tell he still felt guilty about losing his last job.
"Harvey..." She began, resting a hand on his arm. "We won't go broke just because you take a day to rest. It's okay, really." She said with a reassuring smile. She couldn't deny that she was still slightly angry with him for messing up so bad but at the same time she couldn't help but pity him. She couldn't stay mad at him forever.
"Go ahead and rest, okay? I'll be here once you wake up." She said softly, giving him a kiss on the forehead. Clearly he didn't expect it because his face got a bit red. She found it adorable how he could still get flustered despite them being together for so long.
Eun-mi quietly closed the bedroom door, making sure not to disturb her husband who finally fell asleep. She let out a small sigh, though when she turned around she jumped at the sight of Toby standing there looking up at her.
"Oh! Sweetheart you startled me..." She said with a small chuckle, putting her hand on her chest and sighing. She then noticed the worried look on his face.
"Is Daddy gonna be okay...?" The little boy asked, holding his dinosaur plushie. He'd never seen his father so tired before so to say he was a little worried was an understatement. Eun-mi gave a reassuring smile as she crouched down so she was eye-level with him.
"Daddy's going to be okay, he just doesn't feel very well right now. We have to be gentle with him until he feels better okay?" She said softly, ruffling her son's hair a bit which earned a giggle from him. "Okay...after he feels better can we play dinosaurs together?"
Eun-mi laughed a little at the question. "Only if he's feeling up for it okay?" She watched as Toby nodded, then picked up the little boy and began carrying him to his room.
"It's time for a certain someone to go to bed though, hm?" She said, listening to the child in her arms yawn at the mention of his bed time. She then laid him down in bed and tucked him in, giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight sweetie, I love you." She said softly, Toby smiled at her tiredly. "Love you too, Mommy.."
Eun-mi then turned off the light and turned on his nightlight, softly shutting his door. The house was quiet now, with both of her boys asleep she wondered what she could do now. She then decided to go sit on the couch and watch TV with a glass of wine. Now to wait for either of them to wake up.
Time passed and Eun-mi was still sitting on the couch watching TV and taking sips from her glass, though because she wasn't in the bedroom she didn't know Harvey was in a restless sleep. He kept tossing and turning as his fever induced dreams boardered on nightmare territory. He couldn't fully make out his dream but he didn't hear a certain voice, it was Eun-mi's.
She kept telling him about how he was a bad husband, that she should leave and take Toby with her. It really hurt him to hear. He thought he was a good husband, he thought he was doing mostly everything right so why? Was it because he lost his last job? He let out a whinper in his sleep.
"N-No, I'll be better I swear..." He muttered, still suffering unconsciously. Sweat was on his brow as his breathing became a bit more laboured.
Meanwhile Eun-mi started to notice the sound of shuffling, getting suspicious she stood from the couch and headed to the bedroom. Once she got to the door her eyes widened as she heard his whimpers and whines. She opened the door and headed in.
"Harvey? Harvey, dear wake up." She said as she approached the bed, shaking him gently to wake him up. She then felt his forehead and his face with her hand. His fever had spiked, this wasn't good.
Soon Harvey jolted awake, sitting up and panting, tears filled his eyes as he tried to catch his breath. Her words bounced around in his head. Eun-mi gave him a concerned look. "Harvey? Are you okay?"
He was going to answer her but he suddenly felt weird, he felt wrong. Upon recognizing what this feeling was he stood up and covered his mouth, heading to the bathroom at a quickened pace.
Eun-mi sighed as she followed him, seeing him sitting on the edge of the bathtub facing towards the toilet and still covering his mouth. She sat next to him and put her hand on his back, rubbing it gently. "Do you feel like you're going to be sick? Is that why you came in here?" She asked softly, her frown deepening when she saw him nod.
Harvey then felt his stomach lurch as he threw up into the toilet, tears pricking the corners of his eyes as he did. Eun-mi grimaced a little but she didn't move away or anything, she just kept rubbing circles on his back with a sympathetic look.
"It's okay, just get it all out..." She said as they both waited for the vomiting spell to be over. Once Harvey was done he let out a sob, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I-I'm sorry...I'm sorry, I'm very very sorry..." He apologized profusely, his voice cracking with every sob he let out. Eun-mi frowned at him breaking down. "Oh honey..." She wrapped her arms around him, letting him lean into her as she gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. Harvey never liked throwing up, it always made him very uncomfortable but it never made him cry before.
"How about we lay back down, do you think you got it all up?" She asked with a frown, once he nodded she gently rubbed his arm. "Okay, do you think you can stand up?" She asked, once she saw him nod she pulled away from him and stood up, lending a hand to him.
Harvey took her help and soon they both headed to the bedroom where they laid down and started cuddling.
"...You... don't have to tell me why you started crying, I won't pry." She said softly, holding him close. "Just know I'm here for you, okay? I always will be."
Harvey felt more tears come to his eyes, although they were more happy than sad this time. "I know...thank you." He responded, feeling comforted by being in her arms. "I really appreciate i-"
Just then, a soft knock rang from their bedroom door. Eun-mi narrowed her eyes, having a feeling who it exactly was. "Come in." She said, the door opening to reveal their son Toby holding his dinosaur plushie. He must've heard the commotion from earlier. The little boy approached the bed looking back and forth between his mother and his father. "Toby, why are you out of bed? You're supposed to be asleep right now."
Toby fidgeted a little, a small look of worry on his face. "I was worried about Daddy, that's all... I'm sorry..." He responded, Harvey felt a little warm knowing his son was worried about him. He pushed himself up a bit so he was propped up on his elbows. He then looked towards the little boy, tiredness in his gaze. "I'm alright lad, just feeling a little ill.. it's nothing to worry about." He said, trying to ease his worry. Toby still looked concerned but not as much as much as earlier. He then held up his dinosaur plushie for Harvey to take.
"Whenever I don't feel well, dino helps me so...maybe he can help you? He asked, looking up at his dad. Harvey gently took the soft dinosaur, cradling it close with a small smile on his face. "Thanks, Toby... I'll make sure nothing happens to him tonight." The little boy beamed at his words, happy he could help. Eun-mi upon seeing them interact smiled, glad that they cared so much for one another. She then ruffled Toby's hair.
"Alright, now you need to go to sleep. You have school tomorrow remember?" She said, their son nodded and waved goodbye to Harvey, then took his leave back to his room. They both then laid back down, Harvey holding the dinosaur plush close. Just in minutes he was fast asleep, no nightmares this time. Eun-mi leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the forehead, then started running her fingers softly through his hair.
"Sleep well Harvey, sleep well..."

Cry Me A River
Eun-mi was real irritated, Harvey had lost his job. He lost everything they worked so hard to gain. She paced back and forth infront of the couch, genuinely pissed. Harvey on the other hand sat on said couch, a guilty expression on his face. What could he say? He just made one of if not THE biggest mistake of his life. Soon Eun-mi stopped pacing, letting out a frustrated noise as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"...You just had to lose the one job I expected you to keep, huh? Now what're we going to do Harvey?"
Harvey looked at her, feeling bad for making her so upset. "I...I'll figure something out, I swear. Just give me some time and-"
"You'll figure something out? Oh, that must be a joke. Tell me it is." She said with a glare as she looked at him. "We didn't have to figure anything out. We were set for life-"
She then walked over to him, getting up in his face which made him jump back a little.
"-That was until YOU screwed everything up! How are you supposed to fix our income when it didn't need to be fixed, huh?!"
Harvey really didn't expect her to start yelling, she almost never yelled at him so angrily. He couldn't control the tears forming in his eyes. "I...I-"
"You? You?" She repeated, her pink eyes still glaring into his blue ones. She was fed up with him having nothing to say. "You've messed us all up financially, including our son. No other job is going to pay as much as your last one, I hope you know that."
She then turned and crossed her arms. She didn't want to look at him anymore, not when he messed up so badly.
Just then Harvey started to break down, he couldn't take all the yelling and the berating. Tears started to stream from his eyes. "I-I'm sorry Eun-mi, I really really am please forgive me..." He sobbed, standing up from the couch and approaching her.
Eun-mi still didn't want to listen to him despite trying to get him to talk this whole time. Whenever he tried to talk to her face to face she just rotated her body to not face him. She wanted him to get angry at her, to yell at her back.
"Eun-mi, please I really am sorry... can't you look at me?" He asked, sniffling as he tried to wipe his tears away but they just kept coming. He didn't want her to be angry at him and give him the cold shoulder. Instead of making him angry at her it just made him feel more and more angry at himself and upset at his mistake.
Soon Harvey stopped, then he lowered himself to his knees raised his hands, clasping them together as he lowered his head. Eun-mi peeked at him, feeling a little bad now to see that he was begging.
"Please, I'm so sorry I swear...I should've seen my mistake but I didn't, I'm stupid I know, I'm a complete idiot of a husband just...please, believe me. Please don't hate me..." He sobbed and sniffled. Weeping like a little kid who dropped their ice cream cone.
Eun-mi frowned at him crying, feeling guilty now. She didn't think he'd start crying this much. She looked at him and lowered herself to the ground as well infront of him.
"Harvey...I don't hate you, I'm just a little frustrated with you. You really put us in a bad spot with losing your job." She said as he looked at her with his tearful blue eyes. She frowned at the sight of him so distraught, she didn't mean to make him cry like this. "I'm sorry, I took my anger too far with you..."
"N-No, it's okay, I deserved it. I messed up badly." Harvey responded, sniffling. Eun-mi she slowly raised her hand and cupped his cheek. She frowned at him saying he deserved her wrath. "You...don't hate me now, do you...?"
"No, of course I don't. I could never hate you. I shouldn't have yelled at you...I'm sorry, honey." She said as she rubbed her thumb softly on his cheek, brushing away some of his tears. "We'll figure it out, okay?"
Harvey nodded as he sniffled, he then scooted closer to her and hugged her. "I love you..." Eun-mi reciprocated and hugged him back, gently rubbing his back. "I love you too."

Happy Thoughts
Harvey couldn't move, everything hurt. His burns, his wounds, his pride. Everything. He stood albeit wobbly at his stall, blood streaming down his face as he watched the stranger infront of him load the gun.
Just then, it felt as if his life flashed before his eyes. The good and the bad, it stung even more than his injuries. He thought back to a much simpler time.
"Toby don't go too far! Dear, are you done setting up the area?" His wife, Eun-mi, asked. Her face a smile as she half-laid on the picnic blanket. Harvey smiled back at her. "Yes, I believe I am." She then shifted her position a little so she was sitting more upright and beckoned Harvey over. Once he was close he then laid down resting his head in her lap.
"Comfy?" She asked as he nodded, a sigh of relief coming from him. "Yes, very. Thank you honey." He said as he felt comfort seeping into his body. It was nice, spending time with his family.
Harvey sobbed as the steel was pointed at his head. This was it, his final moments. He didn't even get to say goodbye to Eun-mi or Toby, heck he didn't even get to say goodbye to Soups. All Harvey could do was cry, knowing the stranger wouldn't take pity on him.
The birds chirped as Harvey listened to Eun-mi's lulling hum and Toby's laughing from afar. The sounds soothed his heart.
Just then everything went dark as a gunshot rang out. Harvey's body went limp, falling onto the stall before just slowly slinking to the ground. It was so quick, he made no sound. What sound was there to make anyway? He was dead now, there was no point.
Harvey blinked, staring up at the sky. Eun-mi stopped humming as she looked at the look on his face. "Is something wrong, dear?" She asked, he then shook his head as he smiled. "I'm just happy to be here with you two, that's all." He said as she smiled back before giving him a kiss and saying something about him being a charmer. Laughter errupted out of the two, everything seemed so peaceful.
As the blood spread across the grass, and silence filled the air, his body began going cold. No one would care, no one would know. There wasn't even any rain to wash the red liquid away. Pitiful.
Finished the game after ages, so I decided to draw this
I absolutely loved it, one of the best games I've ever played fr (aside from all the other games that had a similar vibe to this like Oneshot or Undertale)

Nightlight Mishap
Toby sniffled, tears streaming down his face as he fiddled with his nightlight. It had broke after he accidentally knocked over his lamp and now he was desperately trying to fix it. He didn't want to get in trouble, he hated disappointing his parents with his bad behavior. Just then the knob turned with a click and the door opened, his father tiredly coming into the room.
"Lad, are you alright? I heard something fall..." He said, yawning as his eyes landed on his son kneeling on the ground, his face stained with tears as he had parts of his night light in his hands. Harvey gave the little boy a worried look as he knelt down next to him. "Toby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Toby sniffled and sobbed. "I-I accidentally knocked over my lamp, and it fell onto my nightlight and b-broke it..." He said as he started to let out more sobs. Harvey frowned as he started to let out a soft shushing noise, picking up his crying son and hugging him close.
"It's alright, you're alright...it was an accident." He said as he gently patted his back. "Just let it out, it's okay."
The two of them stayed like that for a moment until Toby stopped crying as much. Harvey then pulled back a little, wiping his tears a bit with his finger. "There you go, see? You're okay." Toby just had an apologetic look on his face as he hoped he wouldn't get grounded or anything.
"I'm not in trouble am I...?" He asked, becoming more at ease as he watched Harvey shake his head. "No, of course not. It was an accident. You're not in trouble." He said, ruffling the little boy's hair a little. It felt nice to hear the little boy giggle a bit.
"Aw but...my nightlight..." He said with a frown, holding the pieces of it. Harvey took the pieces gently from him and looked at them. "Hm... I'm sure I could fix it, though if I can't we can always get you another." He said, watching as Toby's face lit up. "Really?? Yay!" He cheered quietly as Harvey chuckled, standing up. "Alright little lad, it's time to go to bed now."
Toby hesitated, fidgeting. Without his nightlight he felt unsafe in the dark, like someone was going to get him. "Daddy, could... could I sleep with you and Mommy tonight? Please?"
Harvey paused at the question, letting out a small hum as he thought it over. He then nods. "Alright, but only for tonight okay?" He asked, watching as Toby nodded then made grabby hands at him. He then picked his son up and carried him to his and his wife's bedroom. Eun-mi was already half-asleep as she peeked at the sight of her husband and son approaching the bed, she felt too tired to question it however and just opened her arms and let Toby cuddle up to her and she wrapped her arm around him starting to fall back to sleep. Harvey laid down as well as he held her hand as the family then went to bed, no worries in the world.
BLOODMONEY! Fluff Fanfic:
Baking Fun!
Harvey and Toby were in the kitchen, getting ready to bake a cake! Since Eun-mi's birthday was drawing near and she was out of the house Harvey figured he could use it as an advantage to surprise her. He put a metal bowl onto the counter as he turned to Toby who was searching for something in the fridge.
"Remember we need milk, butter, and eggs!" He said in a cheery tone as he watched the little boy load all the ingredients into his small arms. "Got them!" He said as he began waddling over to the counter with all the objects in his hands. Unfortunately for him he was just as if not more clumsy than his father and so he tripped, accidentally dropping the items.
Harvey's eyes widened and without a second thought he caught the eggs with one hand and caught Toby with the other. A sigh of relief left him as the milk jug and stick of butter fell onto the floor. "Are you okay, lad?" He asked his son, who had a small frown on his face.
"Yeah I am...sorry, daddy." He said, Harvey just gently shook his head as he put the egg carton on the counter. "It's alright, no harm done. You didn't hurt yourself as you fell did you? No ouchies or boo-boos?" Harvey asked, pulling Toby infront of him gently as he checked him over.
"No, I'm okay. I didn't get hurt." The little boy said, giggling a little as his father ruffled his hair a bit. "Good, now then how about we get baking then?" He asked as Toby nodded. The two then began making the cake batter.
Harvey was the one who mostly did everything as Toby watched, he didn't want to accidentally mess up by putting something wrong in there plus his father had always been good at cooking so he trusted him. After Harvey added all the ingredients into the bowl he turned to Toby. "Do you want to stir while I get the bake pan?" He asked, the little boy nodded enthusiastically as he took the medium sized bowl and began stirring with the wooden spoon. Harvey began looking for the bake pans and soon he found some. He then walked over to Toby and took the bowl from him.
"You can go ahead and lick the spoon, that's the best part after all!" He said as he then carried the bowl to the counter. Toby wasted no time, already starting to clean the utensil. Harvey then poured the batter into the pans and put them in the oven, heading over to Toby afterwards. "Now we have to wait, so be patient okay?" He asked as Toby nodded as he got off the chair and headed to the living room, followed by Harvey.
The two of them sat on the couch waiting for the cake to be done, watching one of Toby's favorite shows. Soon the timer went off and Harvey got up to take the cake out of the oven.
Time passed and the cake was cooled and decorated! Ready for Eun-mi whenever the day arrived. Harvey held Toby in his arms on his hip as they admired the cake. "I'd say we did a good job! What do you think?" He asked his son, who nodded as he reached for it. Harvey turned so he couldn't. "Hey, remember that's for Mommy for her birthday. We'll eat some of it then okay?" Toby let out a small "aww" but nodded nonetheless, the disappointment evident on his face. Harvey then hummed in thought.
"Since you were so good today, how about we go get ice cream for making such a good cake?" That seemed to cheer the little boy up instantly because a huge smile appeared on his face and he hugged his dad. "Yay, ice cream!!" Harvey chuckled at his excitement as he put Toby down and put the cake in a container, then put it in the fridge as the two of them went to get their frozen treats. They hoped the lady of the house would like the cake as much as they did.
