I really don't like that scene in Superior Vol 3 #3 where Spidey is going over the timeline of Volume 1 and 2. He says that Volume 1's Superior Otto went through character development, while in Volume 2, Superior Otto didn't. I think Superior Otto in Volume 2 went through way more character development in those 12 issues than he did in Volume 1. I'm not saying Volume 1 Superior didn't have his moments, but it felt like he was doing it all to prove he was a Superior version of the original Spidey than anything, while in Volume 2 he was making actual, genuine friendships and bonds and caring about others. I don't know, that's all I wanted to say about that.

oh no i agree completely

i always see the difference between the two volumes as vol 1 he's learning how to be a hero, and in vol 2 he's learning how to be a good one, like caring about individual people and not just doing it for the sake of doing it. he gets so much more character development in vol 2 and idk why vol 3 (which i have my own complaints about) pretended those didn't happen. hell, even octo-girl acknowledges this.
