ok so i have a confession to make

i am OBSESSED with pirates. i love pirates, i always have since i was like 4 or 5. pirates have always been such a special part in my life. im talking pirate movies, pirate music, pirate art, pirate ocs, pirate costumes, pirate history.

ik its not much but the very thought of it is making me tweak out. the thing is that there WERE filipino pirates but, pls correct me if im wrong on this, they were called "moro pirates" meaning that they were primarily muslim pirates. the whole of noli and el fili is predominantly christian so, i believe for the sake of this au, we would have to settle for the characters as pirates inspired by the moro pirates but not directly bc i dont believe they are muslim.

bc of the historical inaccuracy, i can see why this au's a lil weird and might fall flat but i js needed to get that out bc i have such a deep love for pirates im sorry 😭😭

idea : el fili dating sim called reign of love

there's canon endings and non canon endings. the canon endings are what happens in the actual story. for example, juli's canon ending would be her dying and the mc being heartbroken. non canon endings diverge from the canon, and are way happier. i like the idea that the mc is represented by an animal. like they're not a real animal but they're represented by one. i was thinking like a maya bird prolly??

also me and my friends were talking abt a secret ending called reign of greed which is js the polycule ending 😭

canon endings involve OPM songs pertaining to the ending and the feelings of the characters after (isagani might be tensionado by soapdish SHIT 💔💔💔)

if any of yall have any other ideas pls pls tell me i love talking abt ideas with ppl 🙏🙏🙏

What if it also has some endings where you set up specific parings (doesn’t have to be canon parings) together? Like some of the routes in Date Everything, where some options set up two characters romantically.

And you can date the paring once they’re together or you have them separately if you want.

YES !! i was thinking of what other endings there could be, and i definitely want endings to set ppl up for your own little shipping stuff. penilaez, basigani, tacaraig, pecdoval, julita (juli x paulita) and whatever other ships yall want. and you can also date the pairings !

also forgot to mention but i want secret characters too which will be the ghosts of elias and the others perchance ?? maybe for potential maria clara x simoun or elisimoun

my good friend @maskedteatime has this joke where they say "breathe in breathe out" but in tagalog so it's "HINGA! BITAW! HINGA! BITAW!"

i was joking earlier today abt how i can see this as an inside joke for the tropang nerds

basilio, the med student, says it unironically. if someone's panting or needs a breather he instinctually goes, "hinga! bitaw!" and the other tropang nerds think it's HILARIOUS.

pelaez, whenever placido coughs or is breathing hard, always yells "PLACIDO HINGA! BITAW! WAG KANG MAMAMATAY DITO 💔💔". it becomes and inside joke and the others find themselves muttering "hinga! bitaw!" whenever they're coughing 😭

on a slightly angsty (?) note, basilio likes that it caught on bc it makes him feel like the others truly care abt him and the silly things he does sometimes
