im a person who wants to do lots of things trapped inside a body that wants to SLEEP at all times
i really wish platonic relationships were more important. i’m tired of losing friendships because i’m less important than their significant other. i hate that i’m automatically not as close to my friends because i’m not the person they’re dating/sleeping with. and i hate how whenever i complain about it the response is “you’ll find someone too someday!” like no I shouldn’t have to “find someone” to feel loved and important, maybe we should stop promoting investing all your time and effort and physical and emotional intimacy into one romantic/sexual partner idk

goals in 2017: - keep a journal (so your head and your heart can be organized) - drink more water - stop being so afraid of people and smile - take more pictures with friends to save the memories - be more considerate of other people - keep your room clean (you will be happier) - open the windows more, let the fresh air in - be there for your friends and family - remember how to have fun every once in a while - start using other peoples success as motivation rather than discouragement
date a boy who’s into photography and takes pretty pictures of you
but imagine being in your favorite foreign city, living in a cute, cozy apartment with a lovely view, working at a small bookstore, spending your time at beautiful cofffee shops and libraries, taking long walks, meeting new people that make you feel good, being yourself, finding true love and actually feeling good & fullfilled with your life
…she had wild eyes, slightly insane. She also carried an overload of compassion that was real enough and which obviously cost her something.
Charles Bukowski, Women (via hellanne)
Tonight I love you in a way that you have not known in me: I am neither worn down by travels nor wrapped up in the desire for your presence. I am mastering my love for you and turning it inwards as a constituent element of myself. Tonight I love you on a spring evening. I love you with the window open. You are mine, and things are mine, and my love alters the things around me and the things around me alter my love.

i crave and miss the feeling and tension that is created by simple human contact—another person’s hand resting on your’s; placing your hand on someone’s shoulder or lower back; legs touching another person’s when sitting next to them; resting your head on someone’s chest.

Love love love
other ways to say i love you:
baking cookies
hand-written letters
giving them warm hugs
knitting sweaters
remembering smol details about them
calling them in other cute ways (i.e: bumble bee)
sending virtual kisses
carefully listening to whatever they’re saying
appreciating even their flaws
writing cute poems for them
conversing through exchanging of notes
suggesting cute music
purchasing a random souvenir
spontaneously making cute collages
smiling at them
sending them cute dog pictures
giving them wild flowers
somewhere there is a women in China holding a black umbrella so she won’t taste the salt of the rain when the sky begins to weep, there is a 17 year old girl who smells like pomegranates and has summer air tight on her naked skin, wrapping around her scars like veins in a bloody garden, who won’t make it past tomorrow, there is a young man, who buys yellow flowers for the woman in apartment 84B, who learned braille when he realized she couldn’t read his poetry about her white neck and mint eyes there are people watching films, making love for the first time, opening mail with the heading of ‘i miss you’, cooking noodles with organic spices and red sauces, buying lemon detergent, ignoring ‘do not smoke’ signs, painting murals of his lips in abandoned warehouses, chewing the words ‘i love you’ over and over again, swallowing phone numbers and forgotten birthdays, eating strawberry pies, drinking white wine off of each others open mouths, ignoring the telephone, reading this poem somewhere someone is thinking i’m alone somewhere someone finally understands they never really were
