Mathematics has taught me one thing, there is no certainty unless your truths are derived from even truer axioms. These axioms need to be self-explanatory logical truths that cannot be disproven. They also need to be complete and non-contradictory. Axioms must be kept to a bare minimum for any complexity takes away the simplistic truth. Based on these axioms alone and no further assumptions, can then be created new truths. Every level of creation is based on the pervious truths. Every step of the way logic and certainty go hand in hand.

Sexist Calculus

I just realized that I’ve always implicitly thought of cosine as male and sine as female.  Cosine is sort of a chauvinist male, so when he gets differentiated, he tacks on that negative sign, because he is mad that he is being turned into a female and feels like he’s being degraded.  Sine doesn’t really care either way.  

In case you don’t know what I’m talking about:
