Hi! I love your video of Jesse and Kai from Ncis Hawaii. I surprised there aren’t more edits of them since I feel that they have a lot of chemistry.

Thanks! And yes I agree, I too am surprised there aren’t more edits. I thought that they had a lot of chemistry as well. I think part of it is, is that Jesse is married so he’d have to have a lot of marriage drama for it to work. Idk but that’s one of my leading theories why it isn’t more popular. And I understand that. Even in my headcanons Jesse’s marriage falls apart before he and Kai have anything going on since I personally don’t like cheating storylines.

while i feel like Jim kirk wouldn't necessarily be a great driver (see A Piece of the Action) i DO think Spock would be an even worse driver. they could both probably manage auto, but the STALLING they would both do in a manual istg. however i do think jim has the potential and sheer dumb determination to use all his shore leave to learn how to drive a manual properly and then show off by having spock in the passenger seat. he looks like he's really bad at driving but at heart he belongs in an old yellow stickshift gunning it down a dusty dirt road with one elbow on the open window pushing it into sixth while spock sits shotgun awkwardly trying not to look like he's going to fly out of his seat and/or jizz his pants whenever Jim goes over a bump in the road. do any of you people understand me he WOULD be navigating from the passenger seat and uncorking jim's drink bottle for him i just know it in my wee little heart

there's a lot of gay coding going on between aymeric and estinien, especially within the context of them being knights + nobility. there's an Insane amount of medieval romance tropes happening to them but it's just so subtle from a modern lens it'd be easy to miss. it makes me incredibly ill.

was it on purpose? i don't know. i just know Its There and im Not insane.

+ the addition of the fact that you, as the wol, never learn estinien's past directly from him, in fact if you don't do the dragoon job quests, the only way you learn about it is via aymeric, who speaks of the matter in a way one would who was told directly by that person

what more is that — yes, i'm aware of ffxiv's tendency of avoiding romances of any sort all together, but they were never afraid to show, for example, thancred's philandering. nor are they scared of making a character's interest in the opposite gender explicit. with that said;

the thing that really sticks out in my reading of aymeric de borel being a closeted gay man is that he is Super popular among the ladies. he could genuinely have any pick of them. BUT that man is 32 and unmarried in a society where carrying on the family name is paramount. especially when he's the last of his line.

is aymeric and estinien's position in romances up in the air specifically to give room for people to play dolls? maybe. but from a strictly canon lens, we know aymeric's friends and acquaintances who have known him for far longer than the wol, and in every instance we know - both from aymeric and estinien - that estinien is aymeric's closest and — his own words — dearest friend.

don't even get me started on aymeric's dragoon-shaped ear cuff (!) that matches estinien's drachen textures

that his relationship with another man is so vital to his character and vice versa really bespeaks a level of closeness no other character can achieve.

all this to say — they share in each other a typical medieval romance which is hidden in the subtext of their friendship. and i think that's awesome especially when it's between two men. those knights are gay and in love to me.

Rewatching Season One and this whole scene is just so much fun, especially now we have more of a sense of how Alastor emotes and the full range of his body language. The way they are both just locked in on each other, teeth bared, ears forward. Damn, they love to hate each other so much it makes them look stupid.

Also, bonus points for Angel's expression in the background. He knows exactly what's going on 😏

i love how fussy picard is about letting people take runabouts for any reason, personal or private. like he makes everyone file 63 pieces of paperwork to just board one. but then there's my man sisko, who's too busy playing with his baseball and thinking about what he's cooking for dinner to even care. kira wants to go kill someone? sure, why not. julian needs to go on a homoerotic mission with his boyfriend? hmm? ok yeah whatever. quark needs to do literally anything? sisko is thinking about baseball so you're as good as gone.
