I'm always confused by why people seem to think that there is some sort of Penis Emergency that will kill you if paramedics perform the Vagina Procedure on your fully clothed body.
Hospital spoilers btw: blood isn't sorted by sex, it's sorted by type. The sex of the blood donor doesn't factor in at all when receiving a transfusion, and you will not be harmed by receiving blood from a donor whose sex is different than yours. Saying this because it's another misconception that I've heard.
if you're unconscious at the hospital and they need to operate and insert a catheter in your urethra, don't worry! they'll figure out if you have a penis or a vagina without having to look at a laminated card in your wallet
I think this is one of those things where folks are so used to it that they just sort of assume there must be a good reason for it. But the only reason for your sex to be on your ID is if your legal rights differ based on your sex. Like, it would be important for your ID to say F or M if, for instance, one of those categories was allowed to open a bank account but the other one wasn't. But as far as I can tell, we have mostly decided that legal rights should pertain to everyone. Which means that sex documentation really is just a throwback to a time when women were not considered full legal persons and therefore their legal status had to be officially displayed on their ID in order to maintain that distinction.
Honestly, the only major thing I can think of that still strictly legally requires sex distinction is the military draft. Which, A) still doesn't require sex be recorded on your drivers license, B) could be made sex-neutral, or C) could be abolished instead.
people who use the queue function fill a necessary role in the tumblr ecosystem. they keep posts alive. if u miss a post bc ur entire mutualcule was reblogging it from each other in a 30min span and u were offline, the queue mutual provides u an opportunity to see that post again in 1-8 business days. they put posts in stasis in little cryogenic freezers for u to discover and enjoy later. everyone thank their queue mutuals right now

nami’s jinki is her compass!! she got it as a gift from bellemere (who saw he interests in exploring the world and despite it’s limited use in their current world of trash she still wanted to give it to her bc it felts important to nami) and it basically has 2 functions: first one the base of the compass explands kto form the layout of the terrain within a certain distance, allowing signals of living people within the area too (don’t get to know WHO just that there is someone), and two the compass needles grow bigger and have rope attached to sort of use as grappling hooks!!
her backstory is somewhat this (wip): similar to op, bellemere finds nojiko and nami the same way. she then proceeds to quit the hellguards to raise the two (bc she def ain’t putting em thru hellguard training lmao) . bc nami is able to draw maps in good detail and quick ,she sold them to people here and there and arlong (unaffiliated) found out about her skills and essentially put her to work from a young age to keep the maps for them updated (fish men would be the equivalent for someone who willingly lived in no man’s land places maybe) and bellemere gets killed by trynna stop em from taking nami away…
she initially joined the cleaners under the watchful eyes of arlong but properly escapes when luffy joins cleaners and defeats arlong and stuff

his jinki is his hat!! he partially transforms into a deer to be able to assess a person and infuse anima into a rumble ball to heal them! given to him by hiriluk of course,
his story in this au would be along the lines of: the travelling tribe/group his parents were a part of all decided to abandon him for being born very weak and premature (mainly due to the area they lived in while he was born being really really dusty instead of snow and in turn fuckig up choppers body at birth) hiriluk takes him in and tries to help him (along with his side gig as a crack doctor) he brings chopper to kureha after a while. kureha (who in this au is 100% friends with alice and was part of the team that figured out the body pollution stuff) takes an interesting in chopper and help cure him c:
hiriluk, who doesn’t understand the concept of a mask, continues to try heal people a (while also trying to research and get cherry blossoms to bloom despite being surrounded with trash), unsurprisingly gets body pollution-some kind of life threatening deviation and chopper goes to try find the rumoured mushroom to help cure him, ofc poisons him, and his final moments walpol (who is unaffiliated) bait him with the doctors captive stuff and he goes and yk his fate.
as a promise to him they light up cherry blossom fireworks and a REALLY big mural to commemorate him. (and there is a singular flower)
walpol still exists and tried to do underground work in this town (which for now is called vascan town) but as of right now chopper does move with kureha near alice to get more medical knowledge so everything is okay for now!
he has definitely has known eishia and august for a couple years
his jinki probably activated when kureha got sick and he was fully trusted to help her for the first time ! shortly after that he joins the cleaner as a second medic i think he helps eishia in moral support lmao
luffy’s role in this au’s chopper backstory is when wapol starts to become a problem again and chopper gets anxious he goes back on his own to try sort it out and obv doesn’t work and luffy (who was probably only recently recruited) comes in w the others!
