You deserve the hate you get.

No amount of tragic backstory or content is ever gonna excuse, defend or redeem you or your actions.

As someone with mental illnesses and as someone currently in a dark place themselves, this cannot be used as an excuse to avoid consequences for the pain and suffering you have inflicted on others. I acknowledge that may be part of the reason why you went down such a dark road, but in no way can that be used to get away with everything you’ve done. The same can be said for Saeran’s actions, but he wouldn’t have turned out the way he did if he wasn’t abused, drugged and manipulated by your own hands. And even then, the stuff he did was no where near as bad as what you’ve done. You were also who he was taking orders from. He followed your lead. So it all again falls back on your shoulders.

For people to pin the blame on your mental illnesses, doesn’t help the stigma that already surrounds the topic.

It’s not Jihyun’s or anyone else’s fault either. One thing I love about the game is the fact it does prove that men can be victims of abuse and women can equally be abusers, it’s shown in almost every route. For people to blame them, ecspecially Jihyun, for what you’ve done, is just reinforcing victim blaming.

As much as I hate to say it, if the game was gender swapped and Rika was a male abusing a female Jihyun and Saeran, these people defending her would be nowhere to be found, people already have issues with how Saeran treated the MC, so why is Rika as a woman allowed to get away with it?

Instead she gets stories, CGs (where she’s with her victims and everything’s sunshine and rainbows) and it’s almost getting shoved down our throats that “she didn’t mean any of it and needs forgiveness,, :(”.

Yes you are human, and yes humans make mistakes, we all have flaws, but some mistakes just cannot be forgiven.

You don’t deserve happiness, not after depriving innocent people (some already dealing with their own issues) of their own.

And you most definitely don’t deserve a route.

No you’re wrong about that last one, I’d appreciate a Rika route …if it was not a romantic route but a “MC kicking Rika’s ass six ways to Sunday” route.
