rewatching sherlock after ages and sherlock is literally canonically gay. like. mrs hudson’s ‘if you’ll be needing two rooms’ angelo’s ‘you and your date’ like. these are people who know sherlock, have known him for a while, and they aren’t taking a dig at him. i can’t believe we were gaslit into believing otherwise….what the hell…
Nobody cares, but I am on a Sherlock rewatch bender. Those 2 years between season 2 and 3 went on forever (and was damn good fun!!).
I am just in awe of Martin Freeman's acting in this scene. He never says a word while his expression goes from shock to confusion to anger to murderous rage in each different shot.
That man earned ALL the awards!
John Watson would really say that he’s perfectly straight after waxing poetic about Holmes’s long sensitive hands
Martin freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch spotted at a tennis game this means that "a study in winning" is now more canon than ever
I really love how the BBC Sherlock fandom saw those Wimbeldon pictures and RAN with them lol
Never stop being crazy, fandom. I say that lovingly. Gives me nostalgic feelings to the early 2010s (the height of the Sherlock fandom craze).
The haunting thing about BBC Sherlock ist that it basically boils down to your own media literacy vs. the ego of middle aged white men / maybe something behind the scenes we will never know
So far every season of Sherlock has ended with a big messy display of how much John Watson is Sherlock Holmes's heart.
The show started small with him giving up on winning a case for John and freaking out about John being in danger. Then it hella escalated to Sherlock KILLING HIMSELF to protect John. Then he straight up shot a man in the head in cold blood to protect John. What's he gonna do to prove it in season 4? Overthrow the government? Start a war? Blow up the earth???

#027: don’t even try to convince me that’s not what happened in this scene

Is it too soon?
Greg is investigating a murder.
Mycroft is playing his role as the British Government, protecting the reputation of the Royal Family.
After six weeks of uncertainty, one of them finally decides the time is now.
Spoilers? Oh, go on, then.
Mycroft’s gaze sharpened. Greg met it, then entered the salon and checked the empty corridor. When he turned, Mycroft stood between him and the door. “What’re you playing at?” Mycroft advanced until Greg’s hips met the table. One hand settled beside Greg’s, close without touching. His breath warmed Greg’s ear.

Imagine if bbc sherlock ended with a scene of old sherlock and john, and we see they both have wedding rings on, but then it pans out and there are two old women there. And everyone is like "what the fuck they both married women???" And then sherlock says "we'll take the case" and the old women look relieved and leave and john leans over and gives his husband a quick kiss before they get to work
