Blog post 13
Through out my course of English 102 I have gained a lot of new knowledge that was benefiting to my writing skills. During this course we did a serious of things that had a huge impact on me as a writer. The first one would be our work on the connect program that helped determine where one was needing work in certain grammatical errors. So for and my writing this helped me learn what was a correct sentence versus a fragment. In my first writing assignment, it was noted that a lot of my sentence were fragments and not correctly formatted. So by during the program through out the semester I noticed that my sentence were starting to develop more into to upper college levels. That I could now pick out the good versus bad sentences within my papers. Which helped my grades on papers tremendously. But not just in my papers for this class but as well in my others this semester that has helped me. As well doing these blog posts every week. I feel that even though they are in my own words and I can say whatever I want and express it in my own ways. I still wanted to make sure that I was writing properly because even though it was just a blog for class, others were reading this. I did not want someone to believe I did not know what I was talking about or that I sounded like a child in my writing. Because another scholar could look at this and determine my writing skills off of it. So now after doing weeks of these post I can take away the ability to step back and take a look at my writing. To determine if this is how I want others to see it. I would say the third thing about this course would be my accomplishments of making sure to always ask questions to the professors. During this course I have had always questions on how I should format or say something with in my papers. So I would always make sure to ask the teacher before just doing something. I wanted to make sure the first time I was doing it right then working hard on it and finding out it was done wrong and then having to do it again. This was a big change from our first paper for me because I did not ask how the teacher really wanted it to be done and my grade reflected that.
