TaylorSwift: Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @/toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.

Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @/RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.

By we, I mean myself and my pal @/jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. 🤠🐴

"you shit-talked me under the table, talking rings and talking cradles" has always been somewhat perplexing to me. she's twisting the phrase "to drink someone under the table," i.e. to handle your liquor better than them. what's always escaped me though is what was taylor talking shit about? and it just dawned on me. she's calling back to "i talk shit with my friends, it's like i'm wasting your honor." i talk a lot of shit, but yours takes the cake. for all your honor and dignity, you made promises of marriage and children that you never intended to keep, and now i can't move on because i carry that memory when those promises felt real.

I think a lot of the criticism is people deliberately not understanding/ not having basic comprehension skills.

Like the hate for CANCELLED! it’s about people getting hate and cancelled for dumb/untrue things like Taylor did.

Sabrina getting ‘cancelled’ for ‘stealing’ Olivia’s boyfriend ‘took somebody’s man’ and making jokes about sex ‘did you make a joke only a man could’.

‘Cloaked in Gucci and in scandal’ is about Blake she was a Gucci ambassador even if they aren’t friends now they were at the time and she was being ‘cancelled’ originally for being sexually harassed if you believe her or not is irrelevant that’s how Taylor would of seen it.

‘Tone deaf and hot let’s fucking off her’ Sophie turner was called tone deaf when talking about acting
