top 3 hobbies for young adults:
1. borrowing misery from future
2. carrying grief of the past
3. agonizing over the present
fucking hate it when the stuff everybody says "actually works" does actually work.
hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.
hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy
hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it
hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently
hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love
horrible horrible horrible. hate it but i'm gonna do it tho
Aroace culture is not knowing if you have a crush on this one person or you think that they're interesting and want to be friends with them. All because they happen to be a boy and you have been hardwired to think that if you want to be close with someone with a different gender than you that MUST mean you want to be in a relationship with them.

"no one reads or thinks anymore" type posts are so unserious. get off tumblr and chisel that into a stone tablet to match how old your specific brand of whining is
A shower and a sweet treat can do wonders for your mental health
Itâs getting dire out here, itâs getting real bad

We cannot simply refer to parents and children or to friends or to the teachers and others to whom we are obligated, as unforgettable people. These are people âwhom we dare not forgetâ. But then there are others-complete strangersâto whom we have made no pledge of love, to whom we are not duty bound. To forget them would imply neither neglect of duty nor want of compassion. Yet these are the very ones whom we cannot forget. I would not say that for everyone there are such unforgettable people, but for me there certainly are. Perhaps for you, too.

i think stories without a romantic subplot are so important actually because i didnât even realize how much internalized aphobia i had rolling around in there until i saw ryland grace be genuinely happy and fulfilled by platonic relationships
daily affirmations
I am the best person
I am the best at being a person
I am unkillable
I am good at everything
I am protected by divine forces and I am their favorite
I'm cute

Sick and tired of people pretending like media literacy and reading comprehension were like common sense before the internet rotted our brains or whatever
Half of the population was barely allowed to be educated not that long ago
Education and learning materials have been and still are blocked by a generational and racial pay wall and was violently gate kept by rich men who decided that they were they only ones worthy of having knowledge
So letâs stop pretending that media literacy died 10 years ago with the rise of iPad kids and brain rot and maybe have a bit of patience and openness to teach others before calling them stupid yeah?
thank you ao3 for protecting writers and never allowing censorship to plague your platform. we love and respect you for this
