This is my blog for fanfics I'm writing! Post normally come out on Wednesday!
Writer is @15depressedducks
Beta reader is @thatonechezyboi and @tabbywisconsin!
#Snippits! Will have scraps of fics, normally planed to be in it, but is a loose idea of it. It can also have scrapped stuff too, because I liked the writing of it and put too much effort into it lol
Flowers Can Grow In Concrete (FCGIC)
FCGIC is inspired by @leefl00f's fic, Electric Shock! This follows N and V with child Uzi, and all that follows with raising her!
The Manor Who's Maids Are Ghosts (TMWMAG)
TMWMAG is inspired by (I'll add name in a sec)'s fic, Hostile takeover! This follows Uzi waking up in the Elliott's manor, and practically working in the past!
Secrets Under The Floorboards (SUTF)
This was a idea from (Refind user)'s idea, and I put my own spin on it! This follows E1 being slightly different, and gives N and Uzi more time to maybe become something more than before!
Your Mistake Is My Future (YMIMF)
This idea is from all the 'Uzi becoming a D-Drone' things I've seen around! This follows a fucked up drone "puberty" of sorts, and the aftermath of it all!
Ghost Code
This is my own idea! Co-writer is @energys-writing-corner-ig! This follows AS shenanigans after Uzi kills the D-Drones, and she ends up "insane"!
Insanity Can't Remember Their Name (ICRTN)
E4 Uzi gets injured really badly, causing her to "forget" her life, and not be able to talk! Now can her friends save her?
Your Control Is An Illusion (YCIAI)
Ghostbusters in a way, except not? N, V, and J have to deal with exterminating ghost from a bunker, but gain one as a friend?
Im Not Feline Fine (INFF)
Uzi and Co gain cats! But, what if they aren't just cats?
The Coin With 3 Sides (TCW3S)
Uzi recognizes the recent spike in murders at the bunker, and has a feeling that the most popular drones there are behind it, but, how can she prove it?
make the doormans stupidly competitive with board games. all 3 of them. make them ban monopoly in the house because theyve gotten into genuine arguments over it while n and v watch in horror
I head-cannon that Uzi likes to sneak around the bunker by moving through the vents. Her small size easily allows her to do so, and her developed climbing skills help her go up and down shafts.
Sheâs done this ever since she was a teenager, and often did it so that she could avoid interacting with others in the busy and noisy hallways. When her more emo personality began show, she used this activity to scare people by popping up in unexpected places really fast. She can move quickly as she now knows the layout like the back of her hand. She did it so easily that rumours began to spread that she was capable of teleporting.
After the show, she actually can teleport (due to absorbing Doll), but she still prefers to move through the vents as itâs more fun. In fact, it actually easier now due to the small claws sheâs now developed on her hands, but also, her worm form is great for shooting through the system. All those little centipede legs are great in that tight space.
Sometimes, if it gets quiet in the halls, you might just be able to hear a skittering echoing from behind the gratesâŠ
I do like this idea, but I think I may add on to this a bit more.
once she fully gets used to the centipede/worm form, the vents themselves start to change, on the outside it still looks normal, the vents look okay, but if you look deeper, the whole thing basically is like the other mother tunnels from coraline...though a bit more uzi-flair to it, solver symbols of her color, her drawings from the inner machinations of her mind....spider webs or blueprint lines? hard to tell which, maybe both.
she uses them to go through and be all throughout the bunker wherever she may be needed.
I imagine that this effect starts happening to her room, with the symbols appearing small on the walls, the cobwebs growing in the corners. The same general vibe starts to take hold, as she spends a lot of time in her worm form here.
N eventually starts to notice, and curious, asks Uzi if she knows whatâs happening. She casually mentions the new vent tunnels she goes through, and how they look similar. N thinks itâs very cool and wants to check it out himself, although Uziâs cautions that he wonât be able to fit.
N says that heâll just have a peek in, and so, Uzi leads him to a vent opening on the wall, the entrance now overgrown with fleshy vein-like vines that also grow on the tunnels. N turns his head around left and right to squeeze through, and thinks that the tunnel looks very cool, if a bit creepy.
Eventually, he moves to leave, but now, he canât pull his head back out, and starts panicking. Uzi realises that itâs because the vines near the entrance have clasped onto his head and wonât let go.
She eventually (with a bit of Solver strength) pulls him out, but thatâs when they discover that the tunnels have a defence/prey-capturing mechanism, where the flesh on the walls will grab hold of anyone who enters besides Uzi.
Just a heads up, there are bots going around on AO3 accusing people of using AI. Considering the timing, this is likely AI bros' retaliation for AO3 users calling them out for scraping their work. Examples of what you might be sent:
Screenshots from here.
If you get a comment like this, just report for spam and delete.
This happened to me on Monday! Just to note, they seem to be using the usernames of real AO3/Tumblr users, which is creepy and upsetting, and also a weird way to sow discord in our communities.
for me personally, I find this highly annoying because my y 1 œ beta readers HAVE WATCHED ME WRITE AND HELPED ME TOO!
If I were to use AI, the fic would have been done. All of them. But I'd have no satisfaction. Why should I smile at someone who likes "my work", when I can't even say I wrote it? It'd feel more like a chore, and at that point, I'd not do it.
Khan goes through fits of insomnia. His brain is swimming with ideas and urge to create doors. Sometimes there are no more doors that can be put it and he just stays up night after night after night just drawing blueprints to get it out of his system.
He always reaches this point of pure sleep deprived undercharged delirium. Crazed fast rambling, wildly gesturing to his blueprints, pacing around, anxious and snippy.
He can be a bit scary but ultimately harmless. Uzi is so used to it and often falls back on pushing her father towards his room âalright dad I think itâs time you go get some sleepâ or gently offering him a nice cup of antifreeze and grease, something that always causes him to become sleepy
âhere dad. Here, you love antifreeze!â
30 minutes later Khan is conked out asleep and dead to the world on the sofa with the tv on.
Oh hi, yes... I'm late... By 8 days... But who really cares when it's a nice cozy chapter? And a fic I haven't updated this one in a month? (I'm big time dulu :3)
V had her claws out for fun and prowled around the spire, playing a game of hide and seek with Uzi.Â
N and J were off hunting, leaving V to watch Uzi.
Hearing some muffled giggles, V knew where Uzi was. She rounded one of the small corpse towers and playfully pounced onto Uzi, then lifted her up, spinning around. Uzi joyously screeched.
âFound you!â V proclaimed happily, chuckling softly. She brought Uzi close to her, nuzzling their visors together.
Uzi pulled away.âCan we do that again? Itâs really fun!âÂ
V rolled her eyes, and softly sighed. âSure, now Iâll count to 30, so go!â V lowered Uzi and ushered her off, closing her eyes to count. She could hear the small footsteps of Uzi. And you said you wouldnât get attached~. I AM NOT! Youâve been leaving me alone, so why now? I donât know, maybe you just need help in releasing that youâre attached. V quietly growled.
V realized she wasted more time than she should have, she looked around the spire once more, she knew where Uzi was, but didnât go to her right away.
âOh Uzi⊠Where are you?â She exaggerated her words, causing Uzi to quietly giggle.Â
âAre you here?!â She pretended to look in the wrong spot, causing Uzi to laugh more. âNot thereâŠâ A sly, but also genuine smile was on her face.
âHmmm⊠Where is Uzi⊠Oh where could she beâŠâ V tapped a claw on her chin. âHow about here!â The small drone squealed from V suddenly grabbing them.
âGot you.â V softly said, then tossed her into the air, giggles emitted from the child. When V caught her, she set her down, sighing.
Uzi looked up at V, a wide smile on her face. âCould we go for a walk? J has taken me on some!â No point in saying noâŠ
âSure.â V rubbed her hand over Uziâs hair, making her beanie lopsided.
âHey! My hair! J just brushed it!â Uzi glared at V as she fixed it. V smirked in response.
âOh? Did I mess something up?â V did it again, aggravating the child.
After promptly fixing her hat again, Uzi watched V, and ran to the exit laughing like a gremlin. âHey! You canât just run off like that!â V quickly followed, catching up with no problem. Uzi didnât even leave the spire yet.
V grabbed Uzi by the collar of her shirt. âDid you try to run from me?â V teased, holding Uzi up to her face.
âYeah.â She smiled. âI know youâll always find me!â V set Uzi down, and they slowly started walking, Uzi grabbed two of Vâs fingers because of how small her hands were.
They walked through the snow ruins of the city, Uzi stuck by Vâs side, but observed the area.
Skyscrapers crumbled around the deserted street only filled by cars and skeletons. Lamppost flicked on and off as the wind gently met them. The clouds blocked the starry sky, only letting glimpses of light from the two moons trickle into their apocalyptic home.
Uzi gently let go of Vâs hand to walk over and observe some robo roaches nearby. They crawled over a long dead drone, who V recognized as her own work. âUzi. Remember no biting.â V warily called out, slowly walking over. Well⊠Iâm glad she isnât afraid of the body?
Uzi watched them intently as two of the roaches started to fight. The bigger one swatted at the significantly smaller one, and pierced through the body of the tiny pest, causing it to die.
âAww⊠I was hoping the smaller one would winâŠâ Uzi stood up and faced V, grabbing her hand.
âWell it was at a disadvantage.â They continued their walk, but Uzi kept the puzzled look on her face.
âWhy? The bigger one was missing a legâŠâ V was slightly surprised Uzi noticed that, because she didnât.
âBecause of its size, it was weaker, whereas the bigger one was stronger.â
âThatâs not fair⊠Size shouldn't matterâŠâ Uzi pouted, crossing her arms. V muffled a laugh from the small droneâs actions.
âWell then⊠How do you suppose the smaller one should act? How should they gain their success?â V lighty mused.
â... Maybe⊠Maybe because itâs smaller it could be faster..? And-and like⊠hit the bigger oneâs legs! Making them fall! So the smaller one could then attack it!â As Uzi thought, she gained confidence in her idea.
âThat could work⊠But what if it doesn't? What then?â V bantered back, watching Uzi curiously.
Uzi stopped, and blankly looked at V. âThen I'll kill em.â Her answer caused V to laugh.
âCome on, letâs head home now, wanna fly?â Uziâs eyes practically light up.
âYES!â She jumped up and down. V giggles and grabs Uzi before jumping into the air, wings deploying mere seconds after.
V glided past the street, heading to the spire with a soft thud signifying her presents. She lowered Uzi onto the ground as N landed beside them.
âWhere were you guys?â N asked Uzi, who instantly hugged him.
âWe went on a walk!â She smiled wide as Something caught her eye.
âThatâs goodâŠâ A small chuckle leaked into the air, and suddenly Uzi grabbed Vâs tail, causing her to almost stab the child.
âUzi, stopâŠâ V blankly looked at Uzi.
âNo!â Uzi grinned, seeing how far she could push V.
âIf you donât then Iâll stop you.â
âBite me!â Uzi giggled.
V then lunged at the small child, and grabbed the back of their shirt by her teeth. Her voice was muffled by the fabric.
âLet go of me!â Uzi flailed around, but to no avail. V chuckled and shook her head, causing Uzi to flail more.Â
âV!â N called out, joyfully shocked at her actions, and V just rolled her eyes and dropped Uzi.
âThere. Little brat.â V jokingly called Uzi, ruffling her hair.
Uzi frowned at V, and ran over to Nâs side. âThis is why I like dad better.â
We never see her run the "yes" when the AS asked for her approval when she booted up.
Whether or not she agreed doesn't really matter here tho.
She was promised to be protected, possibly even to have her loved ones protected.
I will die on the hill that the Solver pushed her into a direction that endangered N, so she would allow it to fully take over that night. Under the false pretenses of saving her big brother from being discarded.
The "I have backups" in my opinion was already the Absolute Solver speaking.
And Cyn & the Solver had very different ideas on what they considered "keeping them safe". Especially because the AS just needed them around for it's own benefits.
We can debate day and night on if they're separate or the same, or if Cyn wanted to do these things or not. But I'm not gonna argue that anymore. In my opinion there was still something of base-drone Cyn present initially, and the Solver actively worked towards drowning her out more and more. Until, eventually, it got her to go away.
Nah nah nah because we're different sides of the same coin. I agree, it was 100% that when she booted up there was a different "Cyn" than the one we saw. And there were definitely different ideas of keeping them safe. I just think that like... I don't think that Cyn Knew N when she booted up. I don't suppose we know from where in the scrapyard N, V, and J were dug up, but Cyn was /deep/ in there. I think when she initially booted, it wasn't about protecting anyone because she didn't know anyone to /protect/ at the time - outside of herself, that is.
But yes, The Solver absolutely drowned Cyn put more and more until she wasn't even really present in her body anymore, I agree 100%. And To be honest I think we farther agree because when Cyn first got to the mansion I think it was HER, I think it was Cyn. She had just enough time to get close to at LEAST N, and then the Solver proceeded to use that against her, as you said.
So basically. Yes to everything you just said HAHA
An orphan develops the habit of talking to the moon as if it were a parentâjust telling it about their day, and occasionally announcing milestones in their life, like their admission to college. Unbeknownst to them, the moon has been listening all along, and it's so very proud.
Once Uzi was done dusting, She headed over to the library, rolling her eyes before she looked inside, only to be amazed by it.
It was 2 stories tall, books clawed their way to the top. It was beautiful to say the least. In the direction ahead of her it had a huge window that was centered, and extended to the roof, making a lovely sky light with small lines that formed a multitude of squares with it. A storm was going on, but made the room all the more comforting. Rain patter could be heard, alongside soft mutters and whispers.Â
The floor plan was in a âTâ shape. Lanterns hung on exquisite carved hooks, with small fairy lights hanging from post to post. Warm light and soft tones filled the room perfectly. The walls rounded to the roof and a chandelier hung perfectly in the center, it looked like it was floating but a strong, clear material held it in place.
The room smelled like soft pages, coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla. Both sides of her had a small seating area with gray chairs, and spruce tables. It was practically carved into the walls. Both buildings were one story, with the 2nd story to them displaying books, none were real, only there for decor.Â
Uzi was enraptured by the room, she took a good minute gazing at it, mesmerizing every detail she could see.
She refocused on her job and headed to a room that was tucked away. It displayed a board of tasks that needed to be done. After reading, she headed on out of the room to complete them.
Uzi wandered into the library, and took a right to find a counter. It was a lovely mahogany brown desk with a trolley right by it, filled with books.
â Â
The time flew by quickly with her putting books away, and having to do more dusting. Over the course of the time it took Uzi to do her work, the storm died out to reveal a lovely afternoon day.
Jeez, they expect me to do that everyday? No wonder some drones rebelled against the humans.
Uzi completed all that was on the board for her to do, so she headed outside. Yard work⊠greaaaat. Canât waaaait.
Uzi walked outside and stood on a small porch leading to a small garden, which had a white picket fence surrounding the greenery. The garden was in a square shape, some paths were set in stone, while others werenât, winding around rather than the straight lines.
Yellow, White, Red, and Purple were the most common colors among the flowers, some of which weaved around, like the center circle which didnât obey any idea of separation, and others were meticulously planted.
In the middle of the circle was a proud and well grown weeping willow, which a small trail led to it, which could provide a nice reading space.
âOh, you get to work out here too?â V dropped down beside Uzi, causing her to jump.
âOh jeez!â Her eyes hollowed before realizing who it was, almost anticipating her to cackle like mad at her reaction.
But she didnât, in fact, she jumped back. âOh sorry!â Uzi slightly frowned at it.
âYouâre fine, just⊠wasnât expecting you to jump out like that⊠thatâs all.â Uzi half-hartley responded. I was never on the best terms with V⊠But⊠I donât like this⊠This isnât VâŠÂ Â
âSorry, bad habitâŠâ She looked down to the side, her left hand resting on the craws of her right, avoiding the eye on it. Her wings slightly curved around her.
Uzi studied the hand. âIf you donât mind me asking⊠Are you able to see out of that? The eye on your handâŠâ V glanced up with a curious expression.
âWhy are you asking?â V barely mutters out.
âWell⊠I know that with the tail you can⊠it kind of has night vision in it.â Uzi tapped the first knuckles on her index fingers together, slightly deep it thought.
âTail? What⊠What do you mean by tail? But⊠Yeah I canâŠâ V gave a shy, yet quizzical look to Uzi.
Uzi mentally slapped herself. âYou know how you have wings⊠But a clawed hand? Well, I think I still have that too⊠But a tail instead of the fleshy hand thingâŠâ Uzi tapped her fingers together, a slightly embarrassed look was on her face.
V studied Uzi. âWhat do you mean think? And⊠If you have them⊠Why donât you have them out? Are they not permanent for you?â
âI can feel them under my casing, but I wouldnât be surprised if I just canât use them⊠And they arenât perma-â Uzi stopped, her gaze softening. âYouâre constantly stressed⊠Arenât youâŠâ
V slightly jumped back, her eyes widened some, wings flaring out just a bit more than before. âWhat! No! I-Iâm not!â
Uzi barely stepped forward, hand reaching out, and V hissed at her. Vâs eyes went hollow once she realized what she did, her hands quickly going up to cover her mouth, but Uzi hadnât reacted at all, simply just stopping.
âI⊠Iâm sorryâŠâ
âYou donât need to, Iâm the one who suddenly moved, so itâs my fault.â Uzi pulled her hand back, which Vâs wings slowly retracted back to their resting point.
âI still shouldnât ha-â Uziâs eyes narrowed.
âNo. You are not at fault, I am.â Her voice remained calm. âBut, I have an Idea on how you could possibly not have the wings-â V cut her off with a sad voice.
âIâve tried to cut them off⊠They just keep regrowingâŠâ She held her right arm.
Uzi sighed. âYeah⊠They just keep growing back⊠But I know a different way⊠Yes youâll still have them, but itâll be easy to hide themâŠâÂ
V raised a digital eyebrow at Uzi, interested in her proposal. âBut first I have one question. How do you calm yourself down? Like if youâre feeling extra stressed, how do you calm down?â
âReading. I used to read to calm down⊠But now⊠I canât really, without⊠well. Tearing the book upâŠâ
âAh⊠That explains it thenâŠâ Uzi fiddled with her hands. âCould someone⊠Like⊠Read to you? Would that give the same effect?â
V stared blankly at Uzi. âI guess? I.. I donât know for sure?â
âThen you might want someone to do that⊠Because the wings, and Iâm willing to bet the hand too, are reacting to your stress. At Least⊠Thatâs how it is for me.â Uzi quickly rambled, wanting to get her sentence out without interruption.
V was slightly stunned. âYou⊠Think so?â V asked, almost hopeful.
âI hope so⊠because if not⊠Then Iâll want to find a wayâŠâ Uzi smiled at V.Â
V smiled back. âI should probably get going, do the only job I haveâŠâ V slightly waved to Uzi, and took off flying.
Uzi jolted awake with her alarm blaring in her processor before she slapped herself to turn it off. She stared at the roof of the canopy before sluggishly rolling off her bed to get ready.
She grabbed a new dress and got changed regretfully. She walked over to the mirror to put the headband in, not wanting it lopsided.Â
âHey, Uzi? Are you up?â V called from the outside of the door. Uzi opened it and peeked her head out.
âYeah, Iâm ready, I guessâŠâ Uzi shuffled slightly. V gave a soft smile.
âAlright, weâre going to the commons. Itâs really the only place we can really get everyone togetherâŠâ V sheepishly said as she stepped back.
Uzi walked out of her room and closed the door, hand lingered on the handle for a moment before Uzi faced V again. âEveryone?â Uzi questioned.
âOh, there's about 26, nonono, 31 of us, me included.â V smiled as she led Uzi. Uzi simply followed. So, we got alphabet gang, and Doll, but who are the other 4?Â
V stopped in front of a door and opened it, jestering Uzi to go in. She complied and went into the room. It looked like the rest of the manor, just more drones. Instead of the normal dark oak it was tan wood. There were small pods of chairs and couches around plenty of tables. Most pods looked like 3-4 drones could sit there. There were some nice deep blue rugs and dark oak tables with elegant carving. The couches and chairs were a nice tan color. Lamps were near them too, a nice golden base with a tan shade on it that casted a warm glow.
âYouâll meet your group over-r-r-r⊠There!â V pointed to a table that had a couch and 2 chairs that were arranged in a triangle pattern, the couchâs back facing Uzi. There was a drone in one of the chairs with a cowboy hat with a piece taken out of it. They waved to Uzi, She awkwardly waved back.
Before Uzi could go to him, J stormed by them to leave the room, grumbling about someone being late or something along those lines, Uzi didnât care. She then walked to the new drone.
Uzi took her seat on the couch. âHi?â Ah yes, lovely social skills Uzi, great job! You definitely shouldnât try to drown! The new drone tipped his hat to her. He had light blue eyes and light brown hair.
âHowdy, Nameâs Beau! You're, uh, Noriâs kid⊠uh, oh never heard your nameâŠâ his cheer melted into a sheepish embarrassment. Uzi gave him a very confused look.
âHow do you know me?! I donât recognize you?! But nameâs Uzi.â She slightly glared at him.
âUh, the office? I was the pill baby⊠Ma couldnât make a body my code liked, so I kinda had to stay like thatâŠâ He rubbed the back of his head. âWho knew I had D-drone code too?â He gave an awkward smile.
âWhat?! You do?! Thatâs kinda cool!â Uzi immediately lit up. âWhat parts of you are? Any extra features? How did she work that in?â Uzi was practically jumping with enthusiasm, but masked it under an expression of slight curiosity.
âHeh, Arms are, got the extra eyes too, just hid âem under ma hat. I have no clue how she did it⊠and canât really ask herâŠâ His smile faded to a slightly saddened expression at the mention of his mom.
âOh, uh⊠sorryâŠâ Uzi rubbed the back of her head.
â[Uzi doorman? apologizing for once? Impossible.]â A familiar voice cut through, causing Uzi to jump.
âDOLL?! Why are you here?!â Uzi turned around to look at her, a small blush on her face. NONONONONONONONO Doll is sooooooo going to bully me for this. WhyWhyWhyWhyWhy. Uzi saw Doll in a maid outfit too, but still had the little button patch on her eye. Her other eye looked tired and done with life. Uzi instantly felt less embarrassed.
Dollâs eye just narrowed onto Uzi. â[Why are you here? Perhaps you have the answers? What makes you think I know?]â She didnât move from her spot.
Uzi glared at Doll. âWell you normally know stuff. You said it yourself.â
â[You're still pathetic. Guess I shouldnât expect that to change.]â
âAt least I don't look like a train wreck.â
â[At least I could do better at any job they give us, unlike you.]â
âReally? How about you prove that with your new schedule.â J walked by, dropped 2 cards and walked away.
âWell then, how about we review what you guys got?â Beau chipped in.
â[Fine by me]â Doll moved to the other chair while grabbing her card, tossing Uzi herâs.
Doll had the tasks of Serving food, Vacuuming, and Laundry. Uzi was given Dusting, Library work, and Yard work.
J walked by. âAre you done with reviewing your schedule now?â she asked as she tapped the table with her finger.
âYes, J. Weâre done.â Uzi said in a monotonous tone, glaring at J.
âYou have 15 minutes until your shift starts, You both are assigned in the Right wing on the first floor.â J walked away.
âAnd she said words that make no sense.â Uzi said when J was gone.
âOh I know where that is! I could show ya before we need to be workin.â Beau spoke up, smiling slightly.
â[That would be appreciated.]â Doll spoke as she got up, grabbing her card. Uzi followed suit as Beau did the same and started to lead the way.
âSo this is probably the best one you guys coulda gotten, itâs the one closest to our rooms.â Beau walked through the door Uzi had come in early through, walked to the hallway to the comments, then turned away from them to another door. âThis is the door for it, the only one that connects to it and thankfully directly.â
Beau walked through it, held it open for Doll and Uzi, then closed it. He then showed them all the rooms theyâd need to go to, a quick rundown of what to do, and off to the next place.
Suddenly, a soft chime of a bell rang, signaling it was time to work. âGo! You only have one minute to get where you need to be!â and Beau quickly walked away, heading to wherever he was needed. Uzi and Doll went in different directions for their first tasks.
Doll went into the kitchen area, and Uzi went to the closest to grab a duster, getting straight to work. This is going to be hellâŠ
[---]
Sorry if things are worded weird, this was a chapter I rewrote.
Originally Uzi was supposed to sever food, and the manor would be more like a hotel of sorts? But I scrapped the idea.
Flowers growing in concrete, it's honestly nice to think about.
It's a place most flowers can't grow in, those flowers need their place and certain requirements to live. But those flowers that can grow in concrete? The numbers are small, but it's so nice to just see that growth, that something can thrive there.
What no! This isn't probably too deep into the explanation for the fic I'm writing that definitely not called 'Flowers Can Grow In Concrete' WHAT NOOOOO DEFINITELY NOT
By the end of the day, Uzi was exhausted and annoyed to bits.
All that happened was âHow to do this, how to do that, here are the rules, oh donât mind that we have guests!â it all got on Uziâs nerves. I died and the punishment was working in a human manor just like how N, V, and J did? With them too? What the heck?!Â
And the rules⊠of course there were rules, like âNo foul language, Always make the guest happy, be attentive, talk properly, strive for effectiveness, etc, etc.â ugh. At least I get to go back to my room, but in the morning I have to meet up with the rest of the staff in the commons room, wherever the hell that is. Uzi walked to her room in a slouched position, then mid-way through she fixed her posture. Another thing I have to watch out for, yay.
When Uzi arrived at her door, she opened it and closed it without the angsty teen way of over exaggeration. Uzi walked in, and flopped onto her bed.
She picked her head up, shuffled over to the pillows, and forcefully shoved her head in them to quietly scream. Why?! What did I do to deserve this?! Someone knocked on her door.
Uzi grumbled to the drone outside. âWhoâs there? What do you want?â
âUm, thought you might like something?â It was the golden boy himself. Uzi slightly panicked, but got up to open the door. When Uzi opened the door she saw N and his doofy looking smile. He was holding something behind his back.
âUh, hi NâŠâ Uzi nervously spoke. What the heck do I do? N doesn't remember me! N just smiled as he moved his hands away from his back, presenting a small gift box to Uzi.
âThis is for you! Most have a hard time adjusting, so I thought you might like a gift!â N was ecstatic, but Uzi was trying to keep a straight face, she didnât want to cry right in front of N. Heâs N⊠But not the N I know, not the one that saved me, not the one that helped me, not the one to be my friend when no one else would⊠âUh, thanks. Really.â she gave a weak smile as she grabbed the box.
It was a nice crimson red with gold snowflakes printed on it. She lifted the lid up and peered inside. Inside was a darkish blue bat with the inside of its ears and the membrane of the wings a darker blue. It had very light blue eyes, to the point they just looked white, embroidered on. It was winking.
âTh-Thank you N⊠but, how did you know I liked bats?â Uzi just looked at the plushy. She grabbed the bat out of the box and put the lid back on. âOh, would you like the box back?â
âJust had a feeling! And yeah, not often I can grab a box before J throws them away, if they arenât broken or damaged too muchâŠâ His happiness slightly faded to embarrassment and sheepishness. âOh and there's some PJs for you in the lower drawer of your dresser!â
Uzi handed the box back, a soft smile formed on her face. âAgain, Thanks⊠That means a lot to meâŠâ N lightened back up, smiling bright.
âOh, I should probably go now, J might be mad if she thinks Iâm slacking off! See you round!â N waved Uzi goodbye and ran with little jumps.
Uziâs soft smile faded to one of pain. Heâs gone⊠WeâŠÂ l o s t âŠÂ
Uzi slowly trudged inside, unknown if her door did or didnât close, and laid back down on her bed. She gazed at the wood that was held up by the 4 posts on her canopy bed. There were soft cream colored curtains that went with the dark wood and gold ribbons that tied it back. Itâd be fun to put stars up there, the glowing kind. Uzi reached her right hand up to it, then grasped the air. Tears slowly fell from her digital eyes, yet no noise could be heard.
The door opened slightly, a red eye watched for a second before leaving, leaving the door almost closed. Uzi stayed still, not even aware someone peered inside her room.
Uzi clenched her jaw and brought her hands to her chest as she rolled onto her side, back facing the door.
Her breathing quickened, with an occasional hic. Why? Was this Cynâs sick idea of a punishment? Try to stop her, and you get forced into the work of a servant? Is there any way out of this hell? Who else is here? Why is Doll here? Did she wipe their memories? Is she going to slowly wiPE MINE UNTIL IâM JUST A HUSK FOR HER TO USE?! WILL THEY EVER BE THE SAME?! WI-ll, will I still be me? Uzi stared off to the wall, curling up on herself, tears more frequent.
The solver symbol flickered over her eye, causing her to panic. She immediately got up and spotted the door letting a line of light into her room. She quickly closed the door and then shuffled quickly over to the dresser.
The dresser was a 4 drawer one, 2 small ones on top, and 2 bigger ones stacked below those. Uzi opened the one closer to the floor to find some forgetful grey tee-shirts and shorts. Th-this will probably be fine to sleep in.
Uzi grabbed a pair and quickly changed into it, haphazardly tossing the previous outfit on top of the dresser. She then turned the lights off, but turned the lamp on her bedside table on, not wanting to sleep yet. I donât want to panic too much, but if i get too stressed out i at least donât want a uniform ruined because of my wings.
Uzi looked around her room. It was sparse. The bed was queen sized and placed in the middle of the room, only the headrest touching the wall. There was a bedside table with a nice lamp right by it. The door was almost in the corner, but offset by a foot. On the back of the door was a mirror. Directly behind that on the other wall was the dresser that was in the corner. Next corner over had a desk, it was rotated in a different way, where your back would face the dresser.Â
Uzi walked back to her bed, and crawled under the covers. They were silky smooth, the pillows supported her head just right. Uzi then found the little bat that she had left and grabbed it. Uzi quickly dozed off, sleepiness winning the battle.
