do u just imagine. how wonderful patroclus describes achilles in his point of view. and we all know how whipped he is, but i swear i get this vibes that achilles is just as whipped, if not even more so than patroclus - imagine if their story was written in patroclus pov, imagine just how wonderful that would be, and how interesting it would be to see just how beautiful patroclus is, because clearly, my lovely best boy can't see it himself. Imagine that patroclus was able to write achilles' grief in his pov but imagine how much more heart wrenching to read how painful it must have been for achilles to see his lover's dead body, to feel relief at the struck of Paris' arrow, because it means he's finally, finally, coming home, and realizing Patroclus isn't there. Imagine him almost descending into another form of grief, because why wasn't he here, what if he never sees Patroclus again?? And imagine how we're submerged into Achilles mind, as he sees Patroclus comig towards him, and he feels like he's alive again, because he swears his heart - his soul lurches at the sight of him, the grand feeling of meeting his fingertips, gently touching his face, and the way Achilles would probably melt into tears because patroclus is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen in life and in death and he is here, he is holding him, quick to meet his lips, and their souls intertwining and for a minute, perhaps, even the souls in that place can't help but believe in life after death - or perhaps, love after death.
