I love being a ponyboy fan because there's so much content of him . Like he's the main character of the outsiders book and the book is literally about his life. and hes a side character in that was then this is now. also theres a movie based on the book about him. and a show. and a musical which has soon to be seven different potrayls of ponyboy. i love Ponyboy curtis

It’s so wild that with each version of The Outsiders there are increasing layers of trauma surrounding the Curtis parents’ deaths.

Book: all Pony says is that they were killed in an auto wreck

Movie: a flashback scene shows their car getting hit by a train

Musical: their car gets hit by a train WHILE they're going to buy frosting for Darry's birthday cake that Ponyboy was supposed to get

When I say Pony is the baby of the gang, I’m aware that “baby” is a very relative term in their circle. This is a kid who smoked and fought in rumbles probably since his age hit double digits.

“Ugh, my brothers still treat me like a baby. They only let me fight in rumbles if they’re there too. Specially if it’s with weapons. And last time Darry didn’t even let me wrap my own ribs after, even though the other guys do it all the time. He made me sit there while he did it for me.”
