I’m not a relationship expert by any means. I could count on one hand the number of guys I’ve dated, and I’m still not sure why at least half of those relationships ended. Part of it might be that I’m terrible with communication. Perhaps the stars weren’t aligned in our favor. Or maybe the whole aimless, drifting, perpetual not-sure-what’s-next-for-me state I’ve been in for the past decade isn’t particularly attractive.
I’m not an expert with these things. But I don’t need to be an expert to know when I have something special.

The words are on the tip of my tongue: No, I’m not all right. I’m drowning, and I don’t know what to do.
But I can’t say that. Those feelings are deep inside me, coming from a place that never gets willingly exposed. I’m not used to someone dredging them up. I wish I could voice them as they echo fiercely in my mind, but I can’t voice them to Harry. My lovely Harry, who would be hurt that I’ve kept this from him, who would work himself tirelessly to fix things. He’s already contributed so much to my happiness the past few years. He shouldn’t have to do any more.

1. as my professional life has become extremely busy this year, my ability to devote time to fic-related things has lessened immensely. this means that i’ve fallen behind in the bb schedule and i’ve been unable to publicize it to the extent that i wanted to.
2. the number of writers has dwindled from 70+ to 12. this reflects, i expect, not only the difficulty of keeping up with a project over such a long writing period, but also the shrinking of the 1d community as a whole.
2. only 2 artists signed up to claim stories. this means that the other 10 writers do not have artists to work with their stories. as this collaboration is central to the success of the big bang, i’ve taken some time to think about it’s future.
as far as i can see, we have two options:
1. writers continue to write and source art/banners for their stories on their own. then, come january 22, the posting date originally set for the big bang, all of the writers post their stories.
2. i officially cancel the big bang and writers are left to post their stories whenever they so desire.
i’m sure we’re all disappointed that the big bang will not turn out as we’d hoped, but such is the nature of fic projects of this sort. in any case, we’ll be getting some great stories out of this, and that was always the goal.

you are now open to source banners/graphics for your story from the boards or makers on tumblr at your will, and you can promote/preview your story to whatever extent you wish on tumblr.

Shane blinks, turning her head to face him. “Um… Well, losing the people I love most. That terrifies me actually.”
Niall’s arm brushes against hers. It’s innocent and hopeful. “I’m one of those people, right?”
“Don’t be silly,” she says, almost breathless, because in a world without Niall, her life would be dull and wrong. So, so wrong. Shane nudges him back, a little harder, hopes it will tell him so much more than just a yes, always. “Of course you are.”

4. Blakely Ruth Hyland hated clichés. Absolutely despised them. And she knew she was looking at one; a boybander with brown curls and dimples who caused the death of teenage girls all over the world with his voice and charms, dressed in colour schemes with his band mates. It was absolutely laughable.
She was a cliché too though. The wild daughter of a rock star legend who had grown up partying too hard and now wanted to become a model. That too absolutely laughable.
In a world where someone like him should stay away from someone like her, and she should ridicule someone like him, that became the last thing they did. In a world where they shouldn’t be connected to each other, they instead became best friends. Who were going to be together. One day.
Until then, it was to be their little secret.
5. According to Harry Styles, when two people are meant to be, they should find a way to be together no matter the distance or whatever obstacle there is in between. Of course, when said obstacle is called Claire Jones, things are a bit more complicated, that's why Harry is always there to give a little push to the two people who have been blinded for too long.
But is Liam Payne really going to leave his fiancée standing at the altar? In other words, will he realise who his true love actually is on time?
This is the story of the reunion of two good friends for the groom's wedding and the different interpretations of the definitions of the words love and relationship. Or the one where Harry is a cool Anglican priest that tends to stick his nose in other people's business.
6. Things went sideways when Mom’s restaurant finally closed.
I was something close to a wreck, those first few months. No one ever tells you how excruciating it is, being in one of life’s in-betweens. It was like I’d been plunked right back into that brief period when I’d considered what to do after college and I had no idea. Lucky for me back then, Mom’s need for help at the restaurant arose, Harry came into the picture, and I had an easy escape from the dithering of indecision.
This time around, I don't have it so easy.

Harper didn't expect to have the summer she was thrust into when her parents announced their divorce and her father cancelled the annual Lane Family East Coast Adventure. But a last minute decision to stay with at her best friend's family's inn may have been the one to change her life.

But then Harry Styles shows up in his tiny swim trunks and fucks everything up. Simply put, he’s beautiful–all dimples and shiny, white teeth and ‘yes, ma’am’s and ‘no ma’am’s and she thinks she’s in trouble because he just might be the one that shakes her from her foundation.

Charlie'll just have to show him that expectations are meant to be defied and that the best-laid plans of men often go awry.

11. In 1920s, Prohibition-Era Chicago, Aria Fiorelli is young woman with flapper ideals and a dream to be a doctor. Her father is more traditional and refuses to pay for a woman to take on a man's job, so Aria jumps at the chance to work with a small-time con artist Louis Tomlinson to make a few bucks and save up for school. Unfortunately, the job is to seduce Harry Styles, Chicago's most notorious mob boss who runs all the illegal alcohol and gambling in this town. Aria soon finds herself over her head in her quest to play the long game on Styles, with only the help of Louis' ragtag band of Liam, Louis' best friend and bodyguard; Zayn, Styles' slighted bookie with revenge plans of his own, and Niall Horan, a corrupt cop with a good heart but troubled home life.
