My hot take for stranger things (and TV in general): Small writers’ rooms don’t just affect plot, they affect representation. Without diverse voices and pushback, shows repeat the same narrative blind spots—especially with queer characters.

With all the subtext they built between Will and Mike, the coming-out ends up feeling like compensation. Nice, yes. Profound, no. It gives the impression that the writers backed down when it came to taking a risk. Even the fact that the coming-out scene took them the longest to write is exactly why I think the Duffers regretted the possibility of Byler

Jax isn't just a jerk he's a victim of the Circus's "therapy." They trap him in a childish feminine room to make him "feel better," while his only real memory is of adult responsibility (driving). I still don’t know what this means but the contrast is very heavy.

Steddie fic with Kas theory

I was thinking of a post volume two fanfic, a year and months after what happened in which Steve has been working on Family Video without Robin because she has been so busy with college and Vicky. Even though he has been dating several girls, he hasn't had much luck and is probably getting depressed. Dustin and the others don't visit him as often anymore because they're also busy with D&D since there are less members. So Steve wanders into the woods from time to time so he doesn't feel so alone. One time he finds Eddie running through the woods and he can't believe what he's seeing. When he gets to him he sees that Eddie is badly injured. He is in a hospital gown, his hair is still long but not as long as before, he still has injuries to his abdomen along with some deformities on his back and fangs sticking out of his teeth. Steve doesn't know what he is running from but rushes him to his house. So he sets out to take care of him. Eddie doesn't say much, he seems to be in a trance state, but after a week he starts talking, maybe he doesn't tell Steve much about what happened but they start to develop a friendship (or maybe something more) that does Steve very well. The downside to all of this is that Eddie is developing vampire-like characteristics and Steve is trying to deal with it on his own since everyone is busy.
