hi welcome to our doodle diary/thought dumping ground/art archival/system bullshit blog where we do whatever we want forever. the things we post are wildly inconsistent so i cant give a simple explanation of whats happening here other than the link above. however heres an attempt for some general info

jic its confusing- we say the words "Realization" and "Horrors" a lot which are just like. personal vocabulary about our plurality. "Realization" refers to when we realized we were plural (ie: "pre-realization" meaning we didn't know yet, "realized" talking about around when we discovered it). the "Horrors" is just a funny way we refer to our overall plurality.

we use simplyplural. we arent wiling to share it fully but we are willing to share snippets of it and info on how we use/format it, as we do like our implemented systems and hope it could be useful to others too. so feel free to ask About it, just not For it.

Memory

Memory is weird.

oh theres a lot we could say abt it lol. first of all they are absolutely the loves of my life so its just generally wonderful in that regard- we've been together for years atp <3

one thing is that it always keeps the dynamics fresh, as we all switch a lot. no two days are really the same. different alters have different relationships and ways of showing affection, talking, behaving, and even different energy levels with which they like to help their partners with. theres also just that deeper understanding of each other we get from the shared experience of the same disorder !!

we've also picked up a knack for noticing each others switches. or at least my partners have towards me and each other, im still kind of oblivious and forgetful sometimes >_< (we were just talking abt our tells the other day in fact lol. we all experience these to some degree, but seem to have different "primary" tells- one of them gets different expressions, one gets phantom feelings, and apparently our voice changes.).

i will say that there are also difficulties- amnesia and different headmate's personalities can cause trouble with communication, and some ppl experience different symptoms at different times, so we have learned to keep some awareness of how they're acting. getting along well requires a lot of patience and grace for the worst days, as not everything is glamorous, and i won't say we dont butt heads or hurt feelings sometimes- though we always do our best to make things up and be better for next time. ultimately though, its just a more extreme version, i think, of the kind of effort you should put into any serious relationship (especially with someone who has trauma)- we are all learning and growing and getting better, and we love each other enough to put in the effort it requires as collectives.
