I finally got Stella, Seth, & Silk together for a group photo only to learn none of them can stand on their own Σ੧(❛□❛✿). Well at least they are more put together than the sd’s (￣◇￣;).

Bjd addicts Written Prompt 9: Scary Dolls?

It depends on your definition of scary. I like a lot of scary, and creepy things because I like horror movies and horror video games. I have been startled by my own doll’s from time to time when I leave them posed for photos, leave the room, and come back seeing them standing.

Their is one sculpt that I think has creeped me out is Circus Kane: Kameko. It was a limited doll  that has multiple eyes.

Seeing so many eyes made my skin crawl. Oddly enough I’ve gotten over being creeped out, and would like to own a Kameko head. After all I always have a soft spot for creepy bjds.

Bjd addicts written prompt 8: Size

My prefered bjd size is sd. I like the fact that they are bigger than average dolls. Personally I would rather spend $500 on an sd than an msd because I feel like it’s more worth it.In my head I have a set price for each doll size, and for me $500 or more is pricy for an Msd. I see msd’s in the $200-$450 range based on the size. That’s why I don’t have many msd’s in my collection.

However recently I have changed my outlook on what I buy bjd related. I have decided that I will be buying msd, and not so many sd’s unless it's a head because I think msds are more manageable. By this I mean that I feel like I can play around with them more because it’s easy to find the the props, clothing, and wigs for them that I like.

I have a good number of sd’s that don’t even have body’s not because I’m procrastinating, but because I can’t find the right body for them. 

I say that I’m kinda in the middle because there are positives and negatives to the different sizes of bjd’s.

On a final note when it comes to smaller bjds (smaller than 29 yosd) I feel like I might loose them despite being an organized person, and the money it cost to buy fairyland puki’s, or other small bjds is equal or greater than the cost of a msd or sd.

Bjd addicts written prompt 7: Favorite Names

It can be a challenge to even think of a name for a bjd. My solutin  to that has always been: http://fantasynamegenerators.com/. They have a lot of names that I can choose from. Usually I try to chose names that are not the same as people I am close to in real life because to me thats weird. I also try not to choose generic names unless it’s for the irony. Aiden is named Aiden because he looks like he belongs a rock band, but he is actually doctor.

Among my bjd crew my favorite name would be Virgulă. The name is not really a name, but the word comma in another language. I liked the way it sounds and it makes sense for his story that he is named comma.

Update (long) & Doll Plans 9/1/15

I have been away from this tumblr for a good while. While I was away many things have happened. 

*Update*

That Soom head that I was waiting to get the tracking for after I payed for it never came, & I had to take a claim up to Paypal. The seller never responded back to me on doa, and has not been on doa since. 

Though I received a refund from Paypal I was very reluctant to buy any bjd’s from the market place. This gave me time to think about my doll plans, and just take a brake for a while. 

Then I found out about http://dollaholics.com/, and started doing blogging on that site and just never updated my tumblr one. 

I have finally found my bjd hybrid character. His name is Fenway. He is a Ringdoll Carlos in tan who has a mechanical double arm from the kowalski souldoll souloid. I have no body or him as of yet or eyes for that matter. Mainly because for me to utilize the arm he needs a 70cm body.

Then I realized he is not the same tan as Collie my HTT doll head:

So project Fenway is on a pause for now because I might have to actually buy him a ring doll body. 

The last of my update is just recently I bought 2 new dolls. A 

saintbloom Colette in tan & a soom Ender Jackal head. 

*Plans*

I need a body for the soom Ender Jakal head because he is the father to the saint bloom Colette that will be arriving in September. I’m going to buy the body from mirodoll when they allow black resin as a choice again.

     2.    My Colette will have no face up, so I’m going to send her off to get a                 face up. I’ve never done that before, and I hope it goes well because                 Damian is over due for a new face up.

     3.  Virgul might be getting a body as well. I saw a nice body on doa that       might fit his zombie persona. That’s if someone does not snack it up first.

Doll Plans 2/17/15

So I've put a page for the doll head seller on doa and hopefully she will get my message. In the mean time all theses doll preparations are actually for a portfolio website final for my CGI class. I want to have at lest 3 characters from the same story in a cover photo shoot that match my cover drawing of them. 

I have decided to use my my hybrid, a character I have called Eggbert, and someone else. Eggbert is going to be purple/ violet and I plan to buy his body from mirodoll. The head I'm going to commission it to be blushed purple and given a faceup. I was thinking about experimenting with Eggbert and seeing if I can mod his legs to soom fantasy parts, but I don't know of any tutorials that show that. Before I get too ahead of myself I will just focus on receiving the doll head I've been waiting for. Then I'll think about buying more things from doa.

Doll Plans 2/10/15

While I'm waiting for the doa seller to respond to my private message on if she sent my doll head out yet (that I payed for two weeks ago), I bought a Doll chateau ada body. I wanted a centaur for a while, but the big ones are limited and not available right now. I know I have Stella (batchix mini machina eta), but I think Doll chateau ada is smaller than her. Like a 1/6. I plan on buying a unoa doll mini head ( I did not even know that existed) and seeing how that works. The body is blushed, but I have to restring her which is something I have never done before. Their are not many tutorials to show step by step how to restring one for beginners, but I do know she is supposed to be strung by one string. Well I just have to wait, and see. Maybe some time next week I'll buy the elastic from ebay before she arrives. 

I'm still in the search for a soom bix claw arm, still looking for  a lumedoll zero head, trying to figure out what non soom bodies fantasy parts can go on without modding. I'm planing to buy another doll head to shell a character I have. I'm still worried about the owner of the doll head that I bought not responding, or not being onto doa for a weeks. And school. I have school. A lot of stress. But everything will work out.

Doll Plans 1/20/15

I am attempting to be calm. I sent a private message on den of angles to buy another doll head. The difference this time is that I may be 'gifted' a doll body as a late x-mas gift.

 I really am excited, and panicking. The last two times I've private messages someone on doa the head I want had already been sold. I really want this head for a character I have. Because tan/ tawny/caramel resin color heads are hard to find on doa recently. 

So fingers crossed.

2015 Bjd goals & some side rant

So this year is a new year. Though I apparently missed the meetup in NJ (because they say they were their, but I guess I didn't see them) I plan on going to another meet maybe some time during spring brake. 

I'm planning to 'obtain' a new doll for my collection, and probably around my birthday be able to buy my three floating heads a body (if something else I like doesn't pop up).

I'm going to a tempt a hybrid with this new doll that I plan on buying parts for. So this is going to be interesting. I'm also going to attempt to buy face up material and do a faceup. My whole thing is that I wanted an airbrush to do a faceup. 

I've also decided not to buy the new ringdoll dark head because I would much rather have the IOS; Immortality of soul; Jagger head as that character.

So my goals are:

Create a bjd hybrid

Do a faceup

Go to a meet up successfully

Buy a body for my 3 floating heads

I'm not sure if their will be another bjd convention in New York this year, but if theirs I hope its in New York city and not far away New York like buffalo, because that's just too far to travel with a lot of expenses too close to the time of the New York Comic con.  I wish soom would come back to the the comic con It was nice seeing them their for the two years I saw them.

The Meet up or not?

Well this meet up was at Mitsuwa marketplace in New Jersey. I'm not sure if their was a meet up or not. I saw a lot of people in cosplay or anime cat ears but no bjds. I came with a friend so I was not alone and we did what we normally do at Mitsuwa. Buy Japanese food. Because their is no shuttle directly from New York to New Jersey we explored around the area and ended up at a target where I took some photos of Seth. The photo story is on Doa but I'll post it here as well.

Update 1/2\10/15: Bjd Meetup today

Going to my first meet up today. I'm a little nervous, but I'm bringing my best friend along with me and  Seth and Stella my msd's. I'm going to take some photos and post them on here later when I get back.

Update 1/2/15: Preparing For a Bjd Meetup next week & other plans

Seth has received all his stuff. I like the new wig, and he actually looks more to his character now in his new shirt. I'm also planing to buy a Ringdoll soon. I'm not sure if I'll buy the new head they have, or a doll on the second hand market. Ether way I will start doing some of the new/other bjd memes in two weeks, so more photos, and some back story. I hope to have lots of fun at my first meet up an maybe go to another one this year.

Update 12/24/14: Preparing For a Bjd Meetup in 2015 part 2

I have as of now bought Seth an outfit for the meet up. I also bought 2 wigs just in case because I know the bluebloods purple wig does not fit at all. Do souldoll kid bjd's all have big heads? Well I hope theses wigs fit. So I have one school uniform shirt, 2 wigs, and boxers coming soon.

Figuring out how to get to the meetup via NYC shuttle bus is a different story.

Update 12/17/14: Preparing For a Bjd Meetup in 2015

So I might actually finally be able to go to a bjd meetup.

I'm only bring my msd's because they are more put together clothes wises and easy to take around with me. I've decided to finally buy Seth a more character fitting outfit from doa and I have no clue where I could get him a wig that fits. The wig he has should have fit, but does just barely. I want to get him a tomato wig, but it would take a while to arrive. Stella is cool the way she is because she's a robot.   

I'm so nervous I've never been to a meet up before and I want Seth to look how he should. Uggggg. But I'm going to go to this meetup, I will be brave!

This is Collie my second human bjd and first tan bjd. Their are many ways to spell her name but she spells it Collie like the breed because its easier for her to remember. She's a HTT doll head in tan.
