Reblog so she lives forever.
The injustice we’re living through in Gaza is beyond imagination—especially in this age of information and global awareness.
Governments have convinced their people that the hunger is over, that “hundreds of aid trucks” entered Gaza.
But none of that aid reached local groups or starving families. Nothing was distributed.
Media campaigns showed a few trucks briefly crossing the border—then being looted. That’s what the world saw, not the truth. I saw it with my own eyes. No food reached the warehouses. We’re still starving. Still waiting.
We’re still starving. We’re still here.
My mother is still in the hospital. Her wound isn’t healing—there’s no food to help her body recover.
I’m sitting next to my sick father in a tent, trying to find one meal to stop the children in my family from crying of hunger.
I’m not sharing this for pity.
I’m sharing this because we’re still fighting to live.
What will you choose to do, now that you know the truth?
I’ll donate
I’ll speak up
I’ll help spread the truth
My campaign has been shared by @el-shab-hussein My family is also listed as #408 on the vetted fundraisers list by_@gaza-evacuation-funds
“I hate school I’m sorry Malala”- Funny yet poignant. Acknowledges both the difficulty of the task and the fact that doing that task is a privilege. Gives credit to the people who fought for that privilege with a tongue in cheek acknowledgement of the irony of the initial statement
“I’m just a girl I should be home baking bread not doing calculus” - at best historically uninformed at worst leaps decades back in time. Refusal to acknowledge the charged history of education and slights the centuries of women’s labor it took to reach this point
