24 Hour Zine Thing

The 24 Hour Zine Challenge asks zinesters to create a 24-page zine from conception to final product in 24 hours straight. Zines should be of suitable size and technical difficulty so that this truly is a challenge for individual zinesters.

Readings can be as short as you like, but should be no longer than 10 minutes. We’re especially interested in getting first-time zine readers...

All the tools you need to make a (zine) revolution Hey Monkey Riot

It’s international zine month, which my friend Alex, of Stolen Sharpie Revolution fame, has started. I haven’t made a zine in a while, but decided that I wanted to remember all the times I’ve been up all night writing, stitching and collating zines with a two colour risograph postcard. It was tricky keeping all the textures and colours seperate but a fun little project to celebrate zines! You can see the plates seperated above because I always like seeing seperate plates when people do limited colour stuff.

Though it probably makes me very lame I do actually have a copy card from my uni library with ‘copy and destroy’ written on it. Anyway

Anyhow, check out the Stolen Sharpie Revolution website for what’s up for this month of zines. I need to start working through the list!
