It’s heckin wimdy

Went thrifting today, also the first time I went in public with ears and a tail, and of course I ran into someone I know lol. It was all good though, and I had a really fun time.

It’s okay to be weird, and I know that I’m weird. My thinking is, if there’s a smaller creature out there whose parents don’t approve of their weirdness or let them express themselves, I want to be someone who shows them that it’s okay. It’s okay to be odd and show your true colors because you’re going to find people who like that. You’re going to find people who like you for being you.

I went out with my friend, and I asked in a joking way; “will you be ashamed to be seen with me?” and she said “no” because she loves me for being me, and if me wearing animal ears and a tail makes me as happy as she gets while reading angsty tmnt fanfiction and drawing fan art of it, why should she care? I’m not hurting anyone, and I’m not putting myself in danger.

Yes, I do live in Tennessee, but I live in a larger city, and honestly? It makes a lot of, if not the majority of people, happy to see someone being able to be themselves and be joyful about it. It’s mostly middle school boys that stare, but I hope most are smart enough to go by the rules of “live and let live”.

Just a reminder that

-It’s good to be weird as long as no one’s getting hurt

-it makes people (especially old ladies where I’m at) happy to see someone being joyful in their lives

-i can’t promise, but i can hope, that whoever out there who can’t be weird right now will be able to be weird someday.

Question for my alter/nonhumans!

What is your dream job (or general career path if no specific job comes to mind)?

I've thought about this question from the time to time. Really, if I could, I'd just disappear into the forests to be freed from the grasp of mankind but such is not a smart move LOL

And on that note, there are certain things I wouldn't want to give up as I've grown up with them. There are some things in humanity I do like and if I have to be here, then I might as well make it enjoyable

I'll answer first: My dream job is voice acting!

During hard times, I always used animated films, animes and games to cope. To me, it kind of feels like roleplay except you only have your voice and the stories are already determined. A bit silly but sounds very fun. I love doing voice impressions and saying silly things that make people laugh. I kind of want to give others a laugh or a fun show to watch, just as some VAs did for me years ago

My dream job is environmental research and conservation ^^ I’d love to do something in national parks or fisheries

I’ve always felt a really close connection since freshman year biology’s ecology unit, I’m going to college in September to study environmental science and I’m hoping from there I can do something networking and connections through the school. Alterhumanity wise just fishing and wildlife really makes me feel at home and so helping wildlife just feels like I’m helping my family

I’m studying biology in college, so I’ll do something with animals/nature.

If I could have a dream “career” I’d live in rural Canada/Alaska and just live off the grid, doing my thing until nature takes me. Maybe I’d sell paintings of my favorite places.

Realistically I’ll live in the pacific northwest in the U.S. (somewhere near Cannon Beach, Oregon) or in Port Alberni, British Columbia if it doesn’t get too much more expensive. I’ll work at an aquarium and I’ll take care of animals, doing research and rehabilitation.

I feel connected to nature in general so I’d be happy working in a national park somehow but I always feel the most at home at the beach/near the coast (at least an hour away) so i hope to be able to move back to my home state or somewhere near it.

I'm currently on vacation and there's a pool where I'm staying at.

Swimming makes me feel so shifty. I always swim dog style and that makes me feel a lot more shifty and euphoric.

But...I need to swim with another canine SO BAD. Like, we could play fetch, playfight, vocalizing at eachother IN THE WATER. It would be 1000 times better (even better if the other would be a sea wolf or a dog that loves water).
