The 160+ plus films that Gaby watched in 2025!
You can literally see the different phases I went through this year as the year goes by
MĀRAMA (2026) - Taratoa Stappard
SILENCIO (2025) - Eduardo Casanova
I'm baaaaack!!!!!
If you were wondering what I spent my summer doing instead of being on Tumblr, well, I spent it watching almost 70 sapphic movies because I value my time
If you have some wlw movies to suggest that I didn't include here, I'm still adding to my watchlist so drop them in the replies reblogs or DMs!
Hi, I love your video edits! I'm trying to figure out how to make one of my own and was just wondering what kind of software/technique you use, if you don't mind sharing :)
Hi!! Thank you very much for the compliment, it means a lot ❤️ I use Adobe Premiere Pro almost all the time (DaVinci Resolve sometimes as well for some color grading but rarely for the videos on this account).
As for the technique, I'm not sure what you mean but if you clarify I'd be glad to explain!
Good luck with your endeavors and please send it to me when you've made it so I can share!! 🙏
The 40-and-so films Gaby watched in August. It's a bunch of lesbian movies and then 3 straight ones for diversity
Every movie we watched in February, March and April (cause we got too lazy to make one for each month)
Can you tell Gaby went through a hockey phase in March?
January is finally over and it was so long we had time to watch 47 films, and here's the list ^^^^
(special shout-out to @albertserra whose blog is the inspiration behind me watching red rooms, slumber party massacre, night of the comet, thriller a cruel picture, chopping mall, all cheerleaders die, and Gregory's girl, their blog is a great resource)
Bisou bisou, see you next month!
hate asking but I've had covid all week and will have to miss my upcoming shifts at work so 💀💀 if anyone is able to help me out with my bills for next week + medicine now I'd be SO grateful 😭♥️ thanks and no pressure

The Cinematography of The Perks of being a wallflower (2012)
I make these posts every once in a while but I think it's worth mentioning again that if you're interested in trying out old movies, a good option is to always see if your library includes any streaming service options you can access using your library account. Using library-supported streaming services is great because 1) supporting the library's programs means the library keeps getting funded 2) it's literally as easy as any paid-for streaming service 3) old movies are fun. I have access to Kanopy and Hoopla through my library, and here's a small sampling of what's available on them right now to stream for free:
Kanopy
Seven Samurai (Toshiro Mifune)
Body and Soul (Paul Robeson)
My Man Godfrey (Carole Lombard, William Powell)
Barbarella (Jane Fonda)
Tokyo Story (Setsuko Hara)
Nosferatu (Max Schreck)
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Conrad Veidt)
Charade (Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn)
The Apartment (Jack Lemmon, Shirley Maclaine)
Wuthering Heights (Laurence Olivier, Merle Oberon)
Rashomon (Toshiro Mifune again)
Metropolis (Brigitte Helm)
Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Catherine Deneuve)
Hoopla
The Court Jester (Danny Kaye, Glynis Johns, Basil Rathbone, Angela Lansbury)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Dick Van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes)
Sunset Boulevard (Gloria Swanson)
A Place in the Sun (Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor)
Moby Dick (Gregory Peck)
Hud (Paul Newman)
War and Peace (Audrey Hepburn, Henry Fonda)
Wings (Clara Bow)
I haven't seen all of these movies, so don't consider these recs, but this is a great cross section of genres, hotties, and well-known films if you're looking for a place to start. Use your library! It's fucking free!
It's the 1 year anniversary of the podcast! To celebrate, here's a little guide to explain who we are and what we do :)
C'est les 1 an du podcast! Pour célébrer, voici un petit guide pour expliquer qui on est et ce qu'on fait :)
All the TV Shows we watched in 2024
Pink=Inès, White=watched by both of us
The 145 films we watched this year. Can you figure out the odds one out?
(pink is Inès, green is Gabrielle, white is watched by both)
Again, thanks to @hotvintagepoll for all the great movie recs. Your blog literally made me fall back in love with Old Hollywood which then helped me get back into my passion for cinema and I'm so thankful that my cinema year was so rich (and Toshiro-full) thanks to you and your community ❤️
wow this is amazing!! what a list!
Most of these are first time watches, for example I saw The Women, Leave her to Heaven and Stray Dog, for the first time, all in theaters, which was amazing. Some were not the first time but I saw them in the cinema too (I mostly mean Rear Window and Dial M for Murder which were great in theaters--always seize the opportunity to see Grace Kelly on a big screen).
In general if you have the chance, I so recommend seeing classic cinema in the cinema ! I live in Paris and obviously I'm luckier than most in that regard (did you know Paris has the most cinemas in the world?) but if a theater near you is showing old films, go, you won't regret it!!!!
In total number of films, my top actor is Toshirō Mifune, my top actress is Gene Tierney and my top director is Akira Kurosawa, all of whose movies I recommend 🙏
