‘To Risk The Storm’ has a new chapter!!

It was lighter outside than he was used to upon waking, and the soldiers were already eating a meagre breakfast. 

“Dúnedain!” called one with a salute. “Is it true you have an elf in that tent?”

The soldier to his left grinned with all his missing teeth. “Some men get all the fun.”

Irritation flashed across Aragorn’s face, though he couldn’t blame the men for making light of what they couldn’t understand. Legolas, stubbornly though he would deny it, was a fish out of water in a camp of human soldiers. 

Aragorn marched on towards the General’s tent, eyes scanning for signs of the elegant elf among the bedraggled men. If Legolas willed it, he could become completely invisible to prying eyes, melting into the eaves of a tree like a leaf returning home. There were no trees in the barren land beyond the camp — only blood soaked mud and felled bodies. 

Aragorn suppressed a shudder. He loathed No Man’s Land.

Tolkien Siblings Week rides again!

Immeasurably happy to announce that Tolkien Siblings Week, your annual hub for fanworks of all types centered on all sibling sets in all Tolkien works, is returning for its second year in fall of 2026! It will be running from the same dates as last year (November 23rd-29th), and operating on the same guidelines.

In terms of logistics, optional prompts will be released on June 23rd, leaving you a bountiful five months in which to brainstorm and work your creative magic. An ao3 collection will go live in the last few weeks leading up to the event; we ask that if you plan to add to the collection, you hold back on posting your work until then (although sharing previews or snippets is just fine).

Not much to say at the moment beyond that, except that it's great to be back, and we're hoping to welcome many new faces this year among our beloved returners. In the meantime, any burning questions can be sent via the askbox, messages, or in replies. And all reblogs are of course awfully appreciated as we work to get the word out ♡
