@36yearoldmeme
The bird app has a lot of garbage but this thread really tickled me this morning:
Bonus:
i just saw a commercial for lotion that professed the lotion smells so nice it will “gaslight you into feeling rested”
generational tweet
thinking about all the times as a kid in a group project someone didn’t want to do the work so they’d go “ugh i don’t get it, i don’t get any of this” and I’d go “okay! what don’t you understand and maybe i can help! 😊” and they’d look at me like i’m the idiot. anyway people still do this as an adult and there is no escape
tbh I do not think they would have let those cruise ship passengers disembark if they weren’t primarily rich Europeans and Americans, if this wasn’t the $20k cruise crowd then I’m pretty sure they would be forced to quarantine on the ship like other infectious disease outbreaks on ships. just my opinion though.
Not to sound like a decrepit, rambling corpse about it, but back in my day Word used to be a pre installed program that came with your computer, if you were running Windows.
No subscription. Just program.
On your computer. You got to use it forever and ever and never had to worry about it going away.
Because it was physically on your computer. As a program. That you actually owned. Not because you got it separately, but because it was a standard inclusion with your computer.
I'm sorry but I'll just never get over it. I remember when companies cared about their products being usable out of the box. I remember when our things belonged to us.
Old man shaking fist at cloud, wherein the cloud is the background of the Windows 98 logo.
i have a suggestion
Funny
You guys need to see this because my brain has decided "have you heard of seventy dollars??" is a widely known meme I can reference regularly (it is not)
I wish they made it even marginally possible to get a job like I’m so fucking sorry I don’t have a rare but also highly demanded skillset, an agreeable disposition, and the ability to survive off of three nickels a week I’m soooo sorry
