Showing Daily Gratitude
A short guide to showing daily gratitude in your practice:
🌞 Waking: write down your dreams and thank your spirit animals for guiding you to see possible insight. If there were no dreams, thank any higher powers that allow you the rest and the energy that it had given you to start the day.
👗 Getting ready for the day: wear colors that reflect a color correspondence or your favorite color, thank the higher powers for the clothes and accessories that you have and the confidence it brings you every day.
🫧At work, school, or home: appreciate the friends, coworkers, and family that help you when you are down or are there to chat. Showing gratitude towards others is rewarding and showsyou care.
🥝 Mealtimes: thank your ancestors, spirits, or deities for the food that allows you to keep moving each day. For those who love to give back, allow a small portion of your meal as a gift to these gods/goddesses or spirits to share.
🧼 Self Care: appreciate your appearance and the features you were blessed with. Self gratitude is the best gratitude to give yourself to begin truly loving yourself.
🌙 Bedtime: cherish this time right before completely falling asleep, allow yourself to meditate and show gratitude for the day that you had and feel blessed to wake up for another day to cherish.

Witchcraft Questions (Part 1/?)
What’s the difference between a Wiccan, a witch, and a pagan? (I think I know this one, but I want to be sure!)
How do you cleanse something?
How do you purify something?
Are #2 and #3 the same?
How do you charge things?
What are sigils?
What are runes?
What is the importance of nature in witchcraft?
Do you need specific kinds of candles for rituals/spells?
What are the different kinds of witches? (I know many people don’t like labeling, but I find it easier to break down the different types of knowledge into different types of witches. 🤷♀️)
How do you tap into the energy of the universe?
Are there really different kinds of magic? (When I ask this, I mean mostly towards “black” and “white” magic; that seems kind of close minded as there’s always shades of gray in real life.)
What are the different styles of using magic? (I’ve already mentioned sigils, but what else are out there? Pendulums, astrology, potions, etc.)
What’s the difference between a pentacle and a pentagram?
What is the importance of the subjects of #14?
Are there any other witchcraft symbols I should know about?
Are there any strictly WITCHCRAFT holidays? (SECULAR witchcraft - not in relation to a religion like Wicca)
What is “casting a circle?”
What is grounding?
What is centering?
Are #19 and #20 actually the same thing?
What is a “witch name?”
What do different colors/plants/animals symbolize in most witchy circles?
Can the symbolism of #23change based on who you are, your culture, and how you practice? Or are all symbolizations pretty concrete?
What are taboo words or practices for witches?
What are some closed practices? (I figure this is different than taboo - taboo is frowned upon while I would consider cultural appropriation unacceptable.)
What are chakras?
Is the subject of #27 part of a closed practice? (I’ve heard it is…)
Are candles and incense interchangeable? (I’ve heard incense can be bad for you.)
What are auras?
Are there any must-have magical tools?
Are there any must-have books on witchcraft?
Are there any authors I should avoid completely on my witchcraft journey?
What is the difference between a Book of Shadows and a Grimoire? (If there even is one…)
What are some things you wish someone had told you when you were starting out as a baby witch?
Probably a lot more to come, but I think 35 questions is a good number to stop at for now, considering I’m sure no one will actually answer all of them! 😂

Lemon Syrup
Lemons- happiness, vitality, friendship, rejuvenation, clarity, cleansing, healing, protection, solar energy.
Sugar- sweetness in life, happiness, attraction.
You'll need enough lemons to make 1/2 cup of squeezed lemon juice. For me, that was 3 lemons.
Before juicing them, separate the zest (the bright yellow part of the peel, not the white pith underneath, which will make your syrup bitter).
Then juice the lemons, and add to a pot with 3/4 to 1 cup of white sugar.
Let it boil, and once it does, reduce the boil to a simmer for 10 minutes. If you think the syrup is not thick enough, add more sugar.
Add the zest and turn off the heat entirely. Once it has cooled, strain it to remove all the zest and any pulp. Don't leave the zest in the syrup, even if it looks aesthetically appealing, because it'll turn bitter.
Keep it covered and chilled and it can keep up to a year. You can add it to teas, cocktails, use it for lemonade, drizzle it on pastries, etc.
