Darkness

Red eyes of the Viking teen look down from his position in the trees. He was waiting to ambush the invader. Thanks to it being night out, he didn’t have to worry about being seen. Just heard. Luckily he was used to finding his way in the dark and finding his intended target. The sound of grass swishing and branches being moved alerted him that someone was coming. Drawing his sword, he waited until they were closer before dropping down and pressing the sword to their neck. This caught the other off guard and had them stop.

“What are you doing here, invader?” The red eyed male asked, glaring at the darkened figure of the other person. “Looking for a certain Danish Viking, are you he?” They asked. They sounded foreign. “I heard his name is Arne.” Red eyes held the glare even as he moved his sword away. “Who are you? How do you know my name?” “My name’s Njal and I’m from Sweden. I was told you’d be out here in the forest.”
