But like, yeah, and I really love how this conflict happened with the Flower Kingdom not just because of the Flowey allusions, but also because Flowery and the other Flowers are some of the most sympathetic Antagonists the Fun Gang has ever faced... and these are the ones they ended up in an irrevocable conflict they couldn't resolve peacefully with.

I have a whole post in my Drafts, about how Important it feels that 'It's Kill or Be Killed", even when it ends up being kinda true, is not used by Undertale and Deltarune the way that Flowey seemed to think about it, as a permission to do violence and be selfish, how it's more often then not a Tragedy that makes you wish things could be different.

In that way, Flowery is the spiritual successor not just of Flowey's role in Undertale, but also of Asgore's....
