Lance accepting Keith as BP speaks more about how good a person he is than K actually being good at it.

We already knew Lance was a good person, they didn’t have to torture us with black paladin Keith to show it

Besides that, there were a million other ways for Lance to be the ~supportive friend~ and move past the rivalry that don’t involve him always playing second fiddle to Keith.

You know what would have been better? Just Lance, being a shoulder for Keith to lean on while they were looking for Shiro, holding the team together, Lance and Keith co-leading from Blue and Red while the black lion was dormant (alternatively: black paladin Allura, Lance reigns Keith in when he acts out against an unfamiliar leader, Keith forging a new respect for Allura, Keith and Lance are still equals).

I get you dude, I just don’t like that the show has framed it as “Lance is a good person because he recognized that Keith is better” and things like that. It’s not a good moral, it’s not a good writing direction.

ive been saying since season 3 lance taking keiths lion and the writers pulling the ‘right hand man’ out of nowhere was bad for lance and i was right! the writers have basically spat in lances face! how dare you think you could ever be better than keith! how dare you think you’re black lion material! lance is happiest being the right hand to keith, his role is to be under his feet and nothing else! if he tries, well he’ll be miserable. lance looks up to keith but keith still treats him like crap

anyway fuck klance, fuck keith, fuck the writers. lance deserves better than all of this

I’m the anon that hates the Keith propaganda. I read the early scans last night and I KNEW I had to cancel my pre order I placed like a few months ago. Like I won’t accept lance being treated as second place to K like I’m done it’s shitty and fuck Voltron . Lance deserved the leadership arc (it really looked like that’s where his arc was heading), he deserved the clone arc, the earth arc, and for his insecurity arc to be resolved on screen. They don’t deserve him, literally THE best boy.

lance deserves so much more but all he gets is to be a white boys footrest like im done i hate this show so much and this stupid fandom for thinking this is good klance content
