It takes Cas a year to repair Dean's soul after pulling him from Hell, and in that year they fell in love. So naturally Cas is heartbroken when Dean doesn't remember that year when he's brought back to Earth.
Cas must find a way to help Dean remember, all the while they're trying to avert the apocalypse.
