Important Update from Carthage Subbing!

        

    All 26 episodes of season 1, along with multiple season 2 episodes, have been translated! Hooray! So, what does this mean for our release schedule?

            Well, nothing, really. We still have to go through and edit what we haven’t released, and that’ll take time. Sorry, we know you all must have been really excited, but them’s the breaks. Additionally, due to both mine and Kamo’s increasingly-numerous personal, professional, and academic obligations, and the frankly gargantuan size of this project, we’ve realized that this is too much for just the two of us alone.

            Which is why… we want you to help us out! We’re currently looking for two or three people who can translate from French to English – ideally who speak either English or French natively – and are willing and able to put the time into doing so for Carthage Subbing. You won’t need to be able to translate by ear, as we have written versions of the dialogue; however, some aural comprehension will be useful, as the written dialogue we have doesn’t always match what’s exactly said in the French audio.

            Please keep in mind, this isn’t a paid position or anything – we’re doing this for fun and because we love Code Lyoko. If that sounds good, please contact us at [email protected] with a short summary of your translation skills, your history with speaking French, and anything else you think would be relevant.

July 21st marks the first anniversary of Splatoon 2, and we’re celebrating with a global Splatfest! Which sea creature is your favorite, Squid or Octopus? This hotly contested Splatfest will occur from 7/20 (Fri) 9:00pm PT - 7/21 (Sat) 9:00pm PT.

To make the event more special, players on Team Squid will play as Inklings, and players on Team Octopus will play as Octolings. Even if you don’t have the Octo Expansion, if you’re reppin’ Team Octopus, you’ll play as Octolings. On the other hand, those fighting for Team Squid will play as Inklings even if their usual character is set to Octoling.

By the way, your appearance will only change during Splatfest battles. In the Square, you’ll appear as your usual rad self.

Which team will be declared the winner in this cephalopod conflict?! Will you take your time and deliberate on which team to pick? Or are you ready to declare Muck Warfare?

(Please note that the global nature of this Splatfest means Judd and Li'l Judd will need some additional time to calculate, so results will be posted 7/22.)

「カナメヲ」について

Twitterに書くには長すぎるのでこっちで 技術的な事はつまらないので、内容を大雑把に、 多分恥ずかしくなったら、消すかも

■キッカケ 去年の夏の終わりに、物悲しい夢を見て、映像化しようと企画を立てた 度々参加していたフレンズという映像上映イベントがあり 丁度それまで１年あったので、１年で完成できるか試してみたかった

■映像化 夢は曖昧な断片的な物であったため、 プラスαとして思想や感情を入れるのは楽しい 最初に実写案も考えたけど、神様役は幼女だし、流石にアレである アニメでしか出来ない事もある コンテやシナリオは作らずにその時の気持ちだけで決めていきました どういう流れにしようか、と悩んでたけど 度々一緒に仕事をしてたadustam氏が、ピッタリな曲を作っていたため 音楽をベースに映像を当てはめていく事に。

■夢 度々、友人や知人、知らない人の遺体を埋めるという夢を見る事が多かった おさらばした物に対して抹消しようというマイナスの衝動があり それに対する罪悪感もある、 悪魔くんと友達になるが、世界の維持のため悪魔くんを殺す、みたいな夢も見てて、起きるたびに　うわぁー　という気分になったが、 今回のは、姿形に意味は無いのがメインの柱だと思うので、悲しさはない

大人になったら神様とはサヨナラをするときです

■おはなし これは入れたいーと思って入れたテーマもどきは この世界いてもいなくても何も変わらないっていうもの 結局自分が見てるものや記憶でしか他人という物は成立しないし 何を見ようとするかで見る世界は変わる、 あ、この主人公の妄想話、ってワケではありません 生きてる人間も、生きてる人間を見た人の記憶も、同じだと思うし、 観測をしようとしない限り、それはこの世界には存在しないのと同じ。

■上映版 フレンズ上映時と、ネットに公開してる物は若干違うんだけど、 正直どっちでも変わらないし、 あえて分かりやすくそのシーンを見せなくてもいいんじゃないかなーと思い、カットしました。 上映版と作業データをまとめてコミティアで配布もありかなーと検討中

■シネマスコープ 1920×816 16;9でいいじゃんって話だけど 縦下200ピクセル分の作業量が減って、間に合うのではないか！？ という安易な気持ちからシネスコにしてみたが、 画面内に収めるのがやたら難しく、逆に時間がかかってしまった。

■あいうえお 周りの人の評価はまちまちだけど、 海外の知人からはグッジョブ的な評価だったので、結構驚き トイレシーン、喫煙シーンとベッドシーンをそのまま残した事で 批判あるのかなーと思ったけど、そうでもなかった 結局作りたいから作っただけで、ほかの人が見るという前提を捨ててた

■次 今の僕のアタマは遅れたSFブームなんだけど それを作った所で戦闘シーン！爆発！　くらいにしかならないので、 半径１メートル以内の物を作りたいなと、 4kも撮れるカメラを買って、ちょいちょい勉強してるので 実写もアリかなーと、模索ちう、ご清聴ありがとう。

The Squid Research Lab can confirm that Inkopolis Plaza is no longer the central hub of Inkling culture. Apparently a new location within Inkopolis known as “Inkopolis Square” is now the most popular area for young Inklings. Many new businesses have opened shop in Inkopolis Square, and it is only two subway stations away from Inkopolis Plaza. We at the Squid Research Lab were surprised to learn that the center of Inkling culture has changed locations in such a short amount of time, but perhaps there is something to be learned about the Inkling way of life in all this. Or maybe we’re just thinking about it too hard.

Hey, squid lovers. We here at the Squid Research Lab have unearthed new video footage of new Inkling specimens. They seem to be related to the Inkling species we’ve observed before, but they  appear to have new abilities and visual styles, as seen at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 in Japan. EUREKA! We have discovered the existence of Splatoon 2, a brand-new Splatoon game for Nintendo Switch! This may very well be the most important discovery in the history of squid science! Incidentally, Splatoon 2 was also announced at the ongoing Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 in Japan, BUT WE DISCOVERED IT FIRST! Anyway, we’ll once again be firing up the ol’ research machine here at the Squid Research Lab, so watch this space for in-depth reporting of our Splatoon 2 research findings!
