I realise that approximately 5 people read Kill Blue but this Deranged Theory has haunted me long enough that I'm going to put this out there for my own peace of mind if no-one else's.

Spoilers up to the science lab of doom:

My theory is that Noren is actually the scientist who originally created the de-aging tech but lost her memories when she used the de-aging process on herself.

In support:

- Ogami noticing that one of the scientists in the lab photo is BASICALLY an adult Noren

- That Extremely Ominous drowning scene when she tried to kill Ogami

- The wacky doom lab "teen" scientist's clear hints that he himself is de-aged

- Her completely random mention that she has a twin brother she's not being raised with that NO ONE COMMENTS ON (Is mad scientist boy the mystery twin? Who knows!)

- And of course this would all explain why she's central to Mitsuoka's Big Plans and the engagement pen is probably some kind of key to either her memories or maybe even re-aging her back

I think this would be the most hilarious plot twist to end all weird age gap plot twists if it's true. I also think Fujimaki clearly intends for Ogami to finally get his act together enough to be a decent husband to Eri. If he pulls off this plot twist and STILL keeps his commitment to the Most Platonic Fake Dating Plot of all time, he'll win a prize in my heart at least. Will the series last long enough for Fujimaki to pull this off? Am I totally wrong? Stay tuned to find out, etc etc
