Week 52 - Finale That's a wrap! Check out the video recap of the project! Enjoy!
Week 51 - Faces
Statues were the first things I started shooting as a photographer. They are the perfect model; frozen in expression leaving the interpretation of the emotion entirely up to the photographer. All you have are your choice of angeles and perspective to alter the piece to suit your new vision.
Week 50 - Floating This week I spent a hot, sunny day in LA with the wonderful Katherine Du Bois doing my first underwater photo-shoot! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had playing around without the configning restrictions of gravity. Although I will say, I almost drowned myself trying to stay underwater just a little bit longer to capture that perfect shot. Despite the many near drownings, it is such a fun experience I suggest you try for yourselves!
Week 48 - Au Revoir
This simple music video was a collaboration with SPGtv, and features the beautiful music and lyrics of singer/song writer, Lynette Williams.
Week 47 - Four Players and a Gun
Four strangers wake up in a locked room which contains only a single loaded pistol on a pedestal.
"Four Players and a Gun" is a new one-act play I have been developing which explores the complicated perspectives in the gun control debate. This week I finally finished the story line, and am looking forward to start throwing some dialogue on the page. There will be a reading at some point in the next year!
Week 46 - George in the City
Many moons ago I took some clowning workshops with Avner Eisenberg, and from those wonderful classes, George Jr. was born. This lovable, anxious, warm hearted alter ego has been with me for more than ten years!
It's very rare that I get to play in clown. I decided this week to just grab my camera, give it to Emma Harris, and go play in the city as George Jr. This video you are about to watch is all improvised bits. My favorite thing about being a clown is seeing the world through an entirely new, completely wide-eyed, and wonderfully curious perspective. I'm definitely going to look for more opportunities for George, and I to go play!
Enjoy!
Week 45 - Team Fear
This week I developed a short film inspired by the ridiculous stories in my five years traveling the country working for the corporate team building community. It's something I think I will definitely produce some time soon, so I can't post the script here. BUT.....If you're bored, and want to give it a read, email me at [email protected] and I'd be happy to share it!!! All feedback is greatly appreciated.
Week 44 - Amadeus
Back in college, this used to be my absolute favorite monologue for auditions, and this week I decided to take another crack at it. I apologize for the audio quality. We had a little bit of a flub when we recorded, which I cleaned up as much as I could.
Enjoy!
Week 43 - America!
This week America stepped up to the plate, and finally made marriage equality a reality! AND! It all happened right before America's birthday! Happy 4th of July Weekend!
Week 42 - You Awake?
Care the least, leave first, and you will never get your heart broken. Ryan, and Kaci are two masters of maintaining the upper hand in their casual relationships, but despite their best efforts to remain unattached, they seem to keep falling deeper in love.
This week I created a short film about the ever growing complications of finding love in the modern dating world. It's something I think I will definitely produce some time soon, so I can't post the script here. BUT.....If you're bored, and want to give it a read, email me at [email protected] and I'd be happy to share it!!! All feedback is greatly appreciated.
Week 41 - Quiet
The city is a constantly churning machine full of sounds, people, and passion. Artists from all over the world flock to New York City to fight for their dream of living life in their chosen profession. They fight for that one thing which makes them feel so complete, that each moment spent in their practice can cause the rest of the world to fade away, and everything becomes quiet.
Week 40 - Friend
The idea of friendship has changed over the years. I think the concept has become muddy, vague, and people are having a far more difficult time discerning who their friends are. This photo series is dedicated to those remarkable human beings who see me, who hear me, who know me, who share my stories, share my laughter, and share my pain. Unfortunately this album only features a few faces right now, but my goal is to capture all those amazing spirits that have shaped my life. Thank you for making my life worth living. We are not alone.
Week 39 - Snapped
Donald has been picked on his whole life. Today is the day he finally snapped.
Starring: Stephen Lenczewski and Matthew Cote
This week's challenge was another collaboration with Thom Delventhal, and the CCSU theater dept. This short combat film was created after a fight workshop, where each students strengths as actor combatants were turned into a fight scene meant to both practice the skills, and tell a story using staged violence. Special thanks to assistant director Matthew Joseph for helping make the day happen!
Week 38 - Lover's Lane - Fight Short
This week's challenge was a collaboration with the CCSU theater dept. After a stage combat workshop, I worked with students Kat Barone and Matthew Joseph to create stunt based short film called, "Lover's Lane." Special thanks to Thom Delventhal for coordinating this collaboration, and for creating such a rich stage combat experience for young theater professionals. An additional special thanks to Kat Blair who hopped on board as Tina. Synopsis: While out jogging in the park, Ashley catches her boyfriend Ryan cheating on her, and promptly proceeds to beat the shit out of him in front of his new gal pal.
Week 37 - Laundry Day
Necessity is the mother of invention.
#Laundryday features models showing off their most innovative, bottom-of-the-barrel outfits in a manner which says, "We may not have many clean clothes left...but that won't keep us from looking this good."
Week 36 - Are you Surreal?!
Sometimes peoples lives on social media can be a little to good to be true. It's almost surreal how amazing their life seems to be. Well, I captured these photos just hanging out this weekend, and this is totally what my life is like all the time....incase you were wondering.
Week 35 - Happy Wife - The Audio Book
This week I recorded the audio book for my short story, "Happy Wife, Happy Life: A Tale of Revenge." This has been one of my favorite stories, and I am excited to announce that it is being published in another literary magazine!
