i recently came across this blog whilst searching through the white tattoo tag, and decided to read up on everything. You haven't posted in a year, but i hope you finally found peace. Death is a difficult and complex thing as it doesn't just take the person you love, but also a piece of yourself with them. I can see how much you were in love and i hope you know that he is looking over you. he wouldn't want you to slowly decay, he would want you to live to your fullest.

i hadn’t posted in a year because i was finally coping and rebuilding myself (and honestly that ended up being the most amazing part of my life after he died, really fun to completely redefine yourself) and i meant to log in to my personal but couldn’t remember which email was associated with which and found myself logged in to this blog for the first time in a long time. it was startling actually. and seeing this message is so touching and amazing and thank you.

I went to a restaurant that made me fully appreciate our mutual giddiness about food. This restaurant was very much my type but you would have loved it too. The food was all of a organic, locally grown, free-range and grass-fed standard. But also very diverse and flavorful and interesting and you would've been so into it. Only you have fully understood the absolute purest joy of eating good food, and I'm so glad we both celebrate the enjoyment of food. I wish I could've gone to this place with you. I love how you would always be down to try new foods because you and I both genuinely love food in all of it's varieties. All I wanted was to tell you in excruciating detail all about my meal because I knew you would understand the most. I miss you.

Happy anniversary!

Happy anniversary, baby. Today I went on a walk through the cemetery (since we always had an affinity for "blustery fall walks") and listening to a playlist of our songs and drank a hot caramel cider. Then I ordered wings for dinner and ate Funyuns and watched It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. And drank a cup of the blueberry green tea you bought me in Maine with the mug you got in Maine with it too. I'll probably read a bit of The Personality of the Cat before going to bed. I love you and miss you forever.

Last night I ordered myself a personal pizza and almost got what I usually would (cheese with vegetables) but then I saw one that was cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, and Funyuns and I instantly thought of you so I got that one instead. I miss you so much.

my sloth that you gave me for my birthday (and also a book on spain since i was about to leave for spain!) you also got me kennywood tickets and i have the card you wrote me here at a college with me.  such a thoughtful and great gift and you always knew me so well and i sleep with the sloth every single night and it goes everywhere with me. i took this picture in your room immediately after opening the gifts.

stupid, but this is from one of our scrabble games.  all i want ever in the world is to be at your house, post lavish meal at one of our favorite restaurants, playing scrabble and making nachos because our hunger for food is never satiated.

Thank you so much for being in my dream last night. After a totally weird dream that made no sense the way dreams do, you showed up and we were kissing and so happy and I couldn't be happy and we both were just crying tears of joy and I remember thinking and almost saying but I think I stopped myself before it all came out but I think you understood, I almost said I would rather kill myself and stay there with you forever. We talked and you explained why you were so hurt and I apologized and it was so good to be with you baby. I cried when I woke up.

You help me through everything. I just think about you and I know how you'd want me to react to certain things and you help me not be such a stupidpants. I love you and miss you so much, I felt your absence extra today.
