Another new signing to OVOSOUND?

The day after Drake's 4th Annual OVOFEST an announcement was made that the group Majid Jordan featured on his single "Hold On We're Going Home" would be joining PARTYNEXTDOOR on the OVOSOUND roster. It looks like Drake may have also signed a production duo that goes by the name of Twinsmatic. They recently released an EP titled "Troubleseason". Which includes samples of both Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Red Air Yeezy 2 Release Information

A little less than 2 weeks ago Kanye had the internet buzzing over his performance on SNL. He not only premiered a new song "Black Skin Heads" he also had the hip-hop and sneaker community buzzing over the shoes he wore/ Virgil Abloh tweeted which can be seen below:

It was hard to figure out what we should be more excited about; finally possibly finding out the title/album art for Kanye's 6th solo debut or the fact that the hottest sneaker to drop in 2012 was about to see a third colorway.

Over the last couple weeks there has been speculation that the release date of the shoes would tie in with the release of the album and Kanye would be making a Willy Woka-esque move by placing "gold tickets" well in Kanye's case red tape that would be used in a random draw to provide fans with a chance to get their hands on a pair of Yeezys.

This week the following images surfaced to further support this theory:

It seemed like 1000 copies would be available via raffle the day the album dropped.

Well someone from Kanye's camp finally reached out and clarified all the Rumors via Instagram:

Nothing Was The Same dropping August 27th??

Well according to Drake's dad that's the date Drake's upcoming third solo album is scheduled to drop. When a fan commented on a picture asking for the release date he surprisingly replied as can be seen from the picture. There still has been no official announcement from Drake, the label, or anyone else from his camp. I would have assumed the album would drop prior to his yearly concert in Toronto "OVOFEST" but I guess not. Drake's dad has been known to release info via instagram. A few months back he mentioned Drake would be going on a fall tour. If that is true then a late August release would make sense. I guess we'll have to wait for an official announcement  to be sure.

Last night Kanye West performed at the Met Gala. A lot of speculation surrounded the performance as to whether Kanye would be performing new material. Seems like Kanye didn't disappoint. While a full video of the performance has still not surfaced this short clip shows Kanye performing what seems to be the rumored single we heard about over the last few months "I Am A God".

Riff Raff says the collab with Drake is on it's way and he cleared up the rumor regarding the producer behind the track. It was originally reported that 40 produced it but it turns out it was produced by Xfyle.

OVO Records First Artist? The track I just posted before this post is by a 19 year old from Mississauga who goes by the name of PartyNextDoor. He's seen in the picture above next to Drake in the "Started From the Bottom" video. With the entire OVO crew currently tweeting about the track you can't help but assume this is Drake's first "Official" artist.

Looks like we have OVO Records first official artist. He goes by the name of PartyNextDoor and is 17 and from the either Mississauga or Brampton. He is seen in the picture above next to Drake in the Started From the Bottom video.

New Eminem album July 2nd? It wouldn't be the most unrealistic rumour considering Em's last album dropped over 3 years ago. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
