"It's getting pretty fucking boring here. Hope someone'll see the message."
Come join TrollCrossingStuck! To learn how, go to the Official Blog!
After many Hiatuses and changes, TrollCrossingStuck has RE-OPENED! For those of you who have been a part of this from the very beginning, you know what itâs all about. However, there have been a few changes! First, letâs bring New Readers up to speed.
First of all, what is TrollCrossing? TrollCrossing is an Animal Crossing based Roleplay AU. Trolls move into Can Town, located on Not-Alternia, and are given a house to live in. However, just like in the games, you have to pay the house off. To get you started, you get a Part-Time job at The Crabshack. Mainly to learn the ropes and meet a couple of other Trolls. After finishing Errands, you are free to earn money however you want and interact with whoever you want.
Thatâs where the Roleplay happens, so no asking Howâs Roleplaying Involved? The roleplaying comes from your interaction with other Citzens of Can Town. Again, like the Social Community Simulation game, there is no plot except for what you make it out to be. Your plot depends on who you interact with and what Drama ends up being stirred up.
Before asking who are the characters? the answer is this:
Alternian Trolls
Beforus Trolls
Fantrolls
AND Adult Trolls (Including Canon Ancestors and Fan Ancestors)
Yeah, we arenât just limited to the Canon. This AU includes Fantrolls! If any of the Canon Trolls you want are taken, or if all of the Canon Trolls are taken, you are still welcomed to create a Fantroll to join this AU.
Now, how about a couple of things about this AU (click on links to read more):
This AU does not take place on Alternia.
The town is just named Can Town. There arenât any Can-Houses. Who knows why the town was named that.
Quirks can still apply, but you arenât limited to always using them while the character is speaking since theyâre not technically typing.
Quadrants still apply. These are trolls, after all.
There are Only Trolls in Can Town. No other characters.
This AU also has a Map.
Even has a Getting Started guide to help you after becoming a Citizen.
As of today (being the Jan 7th, 2013) 46/48 Canon Slots are open. So, if you are interested in any way, or just want to follow the blog to see the Art, News, and other shenanigans of the roleplay community you can Head to the Official Blog.
Since I have finished making the logo, it might be best to make a post that can go around and be reblogged to grab the attention of other people.

"Where is everyone..." you questioned, looking around at your shack. Your funds weren't enough to cover the renovations, and you weren't actually too surprised about it. You had been cutting prices off for your friends, going so far as to buying food for sale.
However, there seemed to be no one around to buy the food.
Everything seemed exactly the same as before - empty,Â
âAlright So Can I Pay You In Small Installments Every Monthâ she said, trying to find a way to get all the equipment she needed.
âI Could Pay You An Amount Of Bells Every Month Until The Payment Is Completed Since As Of Now 25000 Seems A Bit Much But If I Do Not Get The Materials That Cost Such Price I Will Not Be Able To Pay My Loans Or Do Any Businessâ
You nodded, shifting your weight on your feet a bit. "Yeah, of course you can pay as you go. Just like you could have payed off your house." You shrug. You weren't upset at how Kan decided to pay. In fact, it's been put towards re-stocking and renovating the shack you worked in.
"Now, would you want me to order it and have it sent to your business place, or would you want me to have it sent to this shit hole and have you pick it up? Or there is the other option of having it sent to your tiny-as-fuck house."
==> Re-open Shop
You are a bit disapointed but it canât be helped, you gues you should just fish for food or something.
You look at the crabshack, it indeed needs some renovations. Now itâs just an ugly shed wich contains nothing more than some furniture, dust and an awful lot of spider nests. Itâs kind of like vriskaâs house but then smaller and falling apart.
Renovating this awful shop might attract more people, maybe you should help him out.
âIf you need some help with your renofations you can ask me, i would love to paint the crabshack fur you.â
You looked back to the shack, then back to Nepeta with a sigh. Mostly out of relief of the offer. "Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'll pop by if I need the help. Right now, I'm trying to afford the materials."
Oh, there goes your stomach. You knew that it was going to happen what with the talk about food. You reached into your pack and pulled out an apple, thought about it for a second or two, and then pulled out another apple from your bag. You held one of them forwards with a straight face. "Here, you can have one of my apples to tide you over while you look for some food."
You were downright shocked at the amount of bells he said. Wow! 2500 bells? Okay, youâd make that quickly with your business, but right now you hadnât opened up and you didnât really have much money. Youâd be able to pay it, but then how would you get food? And stuff to drink? And other objects youâd need for your daily life? And how would you decorate your house? Oh no.
âKarkat We Are Friends I Am Sure You Could Lower That Amount Of Bells A Bit Just For Meâ you said as you walked to him and gave him a nice little pat in the shoulder. You had to try!
âI Am Not In The Best Of Economic Situations Karkat I Comprehend You But Those Bells Are A Bit Too High I Have A House To Pay And The Rent Of The Local In Which I Have My Tailor Too My Bills Are Quite High So Could You Pleaseâ
When she walked towards you, you knew exactly where this was going. You were already trying hard not to let the fact that she was your friend get in the way of your business, but then she stated the same problems you were in and... No, no Karkat, no. You shook your head.
"Maryam, I have a business to run here. You even said so yourself, my shack is a fucking shit hole. I can't be cutting down on prices if I'm going to fucking renovate! So, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to fucking lower the amount of bells even if you are my friend!"
==> Re-open Shop
You giggle when you hear his scream but feel a bit quilty when you see his face.
âWell itâs still morning and as far as i know we donât hafe many morning pursons around here. But apart furrom that this place did turn into some kind of ghost townâ you pause and look around for a moment âefen more of a ghost town than it was at first.â
Your tummy rumbles once again. You look past karkat at the crabshack.
âHey, you donât happen to sell any food in your shop do you? I donât hafe anything at home.âÂ
You shook your head. Honestly, you've run out of food a while ago as well. You hadn't restocked the shop in a while, and you were about to do so soon.
"I don't have any food right now. I've just been picking the fruit off the trees and fishing. I haven't restocked recently since the town seemed pretty dead. I'm going to order things in today, though. Some else has moved in, and the other citizens seem to be stirring awake again." you explain, walking to the crab shack to dispose of the weeds.
"Also, I'm planning on closing the shop for renovations soon after restocking. Get a better store layout so I can stock more things."
You entered the room and looked around. You were startled, disgusted even. Karkatâs shop was dirty and just looking at it from the inside made you cringe. Maybe he was not in a good economic situation and couldnât pay for something better? You kind of felt bad for him.
âKarkat If You Ever Need Bells You Know You Can Tell Meâ you said, getting sad at the prospect of your âfriendâ being broke and selling his stuff for a living. âCannot You Afford A Better Place? This Is An Ugly Shack And I Am Sure I Just Saw A Spider Making Its Web In A Corner.â
âAnyway I Want To Order Scissors Some Knitting Needles Cloth Wool Other Materials And Three Sewing Machines How Much Would That Beâ you asked him.
Yeah, you didn't really have a nice place at the moment. You had to pay up for two places - a Business and a Home - but as soon as you had the cash you were going to renovate. When the other troll offered, you simply shook your head and waved your hand. "Don't worry about it, I don't need help. I'm restocking soon, and hopefully I'll be renovating soon too."
When she started to tell you what she wanted to order you had to try and calculate as she spoke. Scissors, Tool. Knitting Needles, Tool. Cloth Wool, Material. Materials, Material. Sewing Machines, Tools. That was 2500 bells for all of the tools... The rest depended on how much she wanted.
"Well, 500 bells for every tool you mentioned, which was five. Most fabrics are about 50 bells a yard, thread is about 10 bells a spool. How much Materials do you need?" You couldn't remember the exact prices for materials. You'd have to go into the catalog, which you don't particularly feel like doing right now. What ever you missed you'd make up for.
When you bought that building with nearly all your bells and opened up the tailor, you did not realize something really, really important.
How wiill you even make the dresses?
You really need scissors.
Scissors. Who sell scissors? And sewing machines. And everything. Who even does? Do people even do that?
Then you realized there was a variety store in the near district. How lucky of you. However, when you got there and saw who ran it, you were really surprised.
- Karkat?
You knocked three times at the Crabshackâs door, waiting for him to open.
- Karkat Are You There. If So Will You Please Open The Door. I Need To Buy Some Things With The Bells I Have Left. Karkat.
You had just finished pulling the weeds outside the shop. While putting things away at the back of the shop, you found it sort of odd that someone would be knocking on the door of the shop. Did you accidentally flip the open to close sign again? You go to check. Oh, seems like you did.
You simply open the door, looking Kanaya up and down. It was odd seeing her right now - you didn't get the chance to go greet her. There really wasn't any need at the moment since she had payed for the house up front as well as bought the business beside your own.
"What do you need?" You questioned, stepping aside to let her in. You looked to the almost-empty shelves in your shop and scowled. "I don't have much out right now, and I won't be re-stocking till next week. I'm pretty sure I can order something in for you, though."Â
Since I have finished making the logo, it might be best to make a post that can go around and be reblogged to grab the attention of other people.

==> Re-open Shop
You just woke up from your cat nap that took longer than it should have. You look in the mirror to find out that your hair looks awful, but thats okay you just put on your hat and no one will ever know.
Suddenly your tummy rumbles, you havnât eaten in a while and there is no food in your house either.
You gues you could stop by the Crabshack to see if Karkat sells something to eat. You make your way through the jungle of  weeds in your garden, not that you care about that, what do you look like? a gardener?
When you arive at the Crabshack you see that Karkat is standing outside.
He has his back on you, maybe this is the perfect moment to get your hunting skills in shape again.You sneak behind his back, put your hands on his shoulder and say âhi karcat!âÂ
You find yourself throwing the weeds you have gathered up into the air as you let out a very in-huma-- in-troll like "SKREEE!". You didn't expect life to come back into Can Town so soon! As soon as you were let go you whirled around on your heels to turn to your feline friend and--
"Jesus fucking christ on a fucking cross Nepeta!" Did your voice crack to a higher octave? (And how did you know who Jesus was??) Ah, fuck it. "Are you trying to kill me?!"
Karkat, Karkat. Breath. Just take a deeeep breath.
After much 'protest' (consisting of a frustrated grunt), you do as the strange voice in your head tells you. God, you swear you were going nuts. With a deep breath in and a deep breath out, you look back to your friend. "Sorry about that. Just-- I didn't expect the town to be lively at all right now."
==> Re-open Shop
It's been a while, hasn't it?
You find yourself staring out the window, taking in the scene. Seems like there are quite a lot of weeds out there. Guh, you'll have to pick those out before anyone starts coming around to the store. Sure, you could leave it until a new worker comes, but... That could be near forever to happen. So, flipping the 'Closed' sign to 'Open' on your way out you begin to run around pulling weeds. God damn, these were nasty buggers.
Calling All TrollStucks
If you are still fairly active, or willing to be, please reblog.
==> All Done...
Wow your work here was pretty useless, you could have earned the same money by selling an inventory full of fruits. You feel kind of stupid. Atleast you are happy that you are finnaly done here.
Hes doing some stuff in the back, you gues itâs better for you to just go now. You walk to the door. You look over your shoulder, he seems busy. You know he isnât, there is nothing to do around the store exept maybe tidying up the place. â Bye. â And you head for home.
Once she's gone you stare at the floor, broom in hand. You have no reason to have a broom in your hand, the place is swept up enough as it is. You just... What else do you have to do? Nothing. You sigh, going to the back and putting the broom back where it belonged. You suppose it's about time to go home, so now you just go ahead and close up the shop for the night.
With a second glance into the shop, you can't help but smile. The town had a couple of people in it now, and this is good enough for now.
==> Where are they?
âIâm done?â a smile apears on your face. Finally, now you can consentrate on your job in the museum. You quickly take off your work clothes ( you always dress in layers and you didnât need new pants) and give them back to karkat âWait, how many bells did i earn with this anyway? and how much was my house again?â
You started putting things away, processing the question in your mind. Then you started doing the math. 18,600 bells... Minus... Round... Well, she did some time so dock that... Ehn, you suppose...
"17,500 bells. You did enough fucking work to earn yourself 1,100 bells... Congratu-fucking-lations..." you yell out from the back, putting the clothes away. God, now to get the other ones gone...
