I'm kinda of just. in a negative mood, I apologize if any of this is poorly worded/rude
I feel really. off about people calling the use of radio-collar IDs (or just the general use of an ID#) a trend. As if everyone's going to stop doing it once the "hype dies down".
Not off in the way like I'm "in" on this "trend". It's moreso I heavily dislike the assumption that everyone is only doing it because it's seemingly popular.
While yes, it has "suddenly" cropped up all over the alterhuman space. I really feel like it's just. other creatures realizing they can identify in a whole new way that resonates with their lifestyle.
Maybe those who felt like something was missing, finally got the last piece in their identity.
Or maybe because someone simply does not like using "human" names.
Or maybe some have already had ID#s, or something similar, and finally felt comfortable to go by theirs after seeing others do it. (namely, me.)
I feel like that's a big part of being in a community: Sharing your experiences and self and others learning new things and ways they can express themselves. Someone feeling relief when another is able to put something they experience into words they couldn't find themselves.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just being sensitive. It just irks me.
kaspers coyote contribution to the caninepostin
Genuinely feel like this
body terms to use for canidae. dog / wolf heavy. not everything translates perfectly.
body hair -> pelt, coat
chest hair -> ruff, bib
head hair -> fur
hair at the back of the neck -> scruff
long hair that comes down in front of the shoulders & chest -> mane
mouth & nose -> muzzle, snout
lips -> flews
teeth -> fangs
arms -> front legs
wrists -> pasterns
hands -> front paws
nails -> claws
legs -> hind legs
ankles -> hocks
feet -> back paws
foot soles & palms -> paw pads
The canine pack community is officially up!
I can't really find to many videos on youtube about coyotes which is quite annoying there's only one I'm able to find
I do really wish I could hunt but I guess theses things humans give me time eat aren't to bad
On the topic of ID numbers being a “trend”, I would like to reiterate the fact that this is no such thing for me. It is an integral part of my identity, and has been since I discovered their existence over a year ago.
Just because something is popular does not mean it's not helping some creatures.
Genuinely just staring anytime a human tries to interact with me
Just made this blog and I already have two followers that was quick
I want pups so bad that it physically hurts.
why is this coyote watching a video game playthrough
