STOP IGNORING CHOSEN JACOBS YOU COWARDS
āLike⦠I thought that maybe being with you constantly, like every single minute of the day, would⦠I mean youāre probably gonna go somewhere else, yknow? Youāve never talked about staying in San Francisco like I have and I thought that if we took this trip itād take some of the⦠some of the shine off you, or whatever, make it easier.ā
āOh,ā says Eddie.
āYeah, but it hasnāt, youāre still kind of⦠youāre still shiny.ā
āWell,ā says Eddie.
āSo go easy.ā He laughs, kind of bitter, kind of weird. He shuts his eyes. āWhen you leave, I mean. Make it⦠make it gentle.ā
bunch of illustrations from go west by @oneangryshot which is a fic i have been borderline obsessed with for literally over a year
on richieās 18th birthday he got his first and only tattoo: a simple date near his heart. not just any date though, a date very important to him. after he moved from derry, he started to forget what the day written on his chest meant to him. heād spend countless days, desperately trying to remember what 18 year old him didnāt want him to forget (there obviously wasnāt much so it must have been important especially to permanently ink it onto his skin). he never did find out. but he never removed it, hoping that he would remember it one day. and it wasnāt until he arrived back in his la home from losing his best friend the love of his life and defeating a demonic spirit that he realized what his tattoo meant: it was the day he met eddie kapsbrak for the very first time.

Okay, so, AU where Eddie has a daughter with Myra before they ultimately get divorced because, wow, heās not straight. Who saw that coming?
Except, Eddie also has no idea how to be gay and looking for a relationship. He thinks heās too old for that. Heās not cute anymore, his best years are behind them, and it seems like the only guys in New York who are interested in someone his age are young guys with daddy issues, or who just guys who think heās going to be some sort of a sugar daddy, and thatās⦠oh my god, thatās so not what heās looking for. He doesnāt even have the money to pull that off.
His daughter, as young as she is, just doesnāt understand. She asks him questions like, āWhy donāt you just go pick a boyfriend, Daddy?ā, and heās always telling her itās not that simple.
Obviously, his daughter is about as stubborn as her parents. She takes the phone that Myra insisted she have to keep in contact with her and downloads a dating app. She uploads a couple different pictures sheās stolen of her dad, like him and her at a daddy daughter dance, him napping on the cough, all that kind of stuff. Sheās not sure what to write for the bio, so she just writes āThis is my dad. Please make him smile again.ā
Unfortunately, thereās not even that many guys for her to choose from. The amount of men seeking men of her dadās age seems to be pretty small, so she canāt be too picky with her matches. She does, however, end up unmatching plenty of them when it turns out they just wanted to see if the profile was fake, or they just wanted to do āadult thingsā to her dad.
āLove is a everybody thing,ā she says, āSo I dunno what adult thing youāre talking about, but my daddy doesnāt want it.ā
One day though, one day she sees a familiar face, and it doesnāt take her long to figure out where she recognizes it from. The profile says āRichieā, and she immediately recognizes him as the guy her dad likes to watch on tv. Theyāve watched his show on Netflix like twenty thousand times, and they laugh each and every time. One of her favorite things to do is quote him when her dadās least expecting it, and making him giggle in a way he doesnāt do much anymore.
She swipes right, andā¦.
And sheās pretty heart broken when itās not a match.
She tries to forget the guy, making a face whenever she sees his stupid face pop up under āWatch It Againā.
Her dad even tries to put it on one night, and she huffs, saying she doesnāt like Mr. Toes Face anymore. āHeās not even that funny, Dad.ā
It makes her sad to see the way that makes him frown, but he doesnāt say anything else. He just puts on some Nailed It, so she can laugh at the cakes and moves on.
They donāt talk about Richie Tozier for awhile after that. They move on, and eventually she even forgets about the stupid app. Until sheās at her momās house for the week, and she wakes up to one new notification.
āYou got a new match!ā
She opens it, fully expecting another creep, but instead she sees Richieās face with a message, āDoes your dad like bad jokes?ā
The next thing either of them know, theyāre talking hours on end. They talk a lot about her dad, but also a little about her, and she likes that. She even tries to tell Richie that he has to come to their house for dinner tonight, but he says itās rude to show up uninvited, which makes no sense to her, since she just invited him.
She tells him as much, and he agrees, but still he says he canāt come. Upset and, more than a little spoiled, she decides desperate times call for desperate measures.
After the bell rings for recess, she manages to slip away, and she keeps walking and walking. She tells Richie as much, as soon as sheās so far away from the school, and he flips.
āWhy?? You canāt just run away because someone canāt come to your house! Youāre going to give your dad a heart attack!ā
āItās an asthma attack, but if you bring me home, youāll make my dad feel all better :)ā
She has to dodge a couple of calls from her dad before she finally gets Richie to agree.
She tells him where she is, and he shows up about fifteen minutes later in a nice red car. He tries to get her inside it to take her home, but she insists that her dad would freak out if she got in the car with a stranger. Richie tells her thatās ridiculous, heās just trying to get her home to her dad, and she says thatās exactly the kind of thing her parents said the bad guys would say to her.
Mumbling a few curse words under his breath, Richie resigns himself to walking her back to her house, holding her hand as they make their way through the streets. They only make it so far before people start to recognize him, and he insists on holding her, tucking her face into his chest to try and hide her identity. She likes it. He smells nice, and all these people swarming around them are kind of scary, but he makes her safe.
When they finally make it home, Richie sets her down, and she goes rushing to the door. Her little fist barely even connects with the wood before itās being thrown open and her the ground is suddenly far below her as sheās lifted high into the air.
āYouāre squishing me!ā She whines, but Eddie just hugs her tight, peppering kisses all over the side of her hair.
āPardon Daddyās language, sweetheart, but I donāt give a shit.ā
āDaddy-ā
āNo! No, you scared the crap out of me, princess. Do you even remember what I told you?? Do you know how many kids that go missing- oh my fucking God.āĀ
Giggling, she twists to see the way her dadās eyes go wide as he finally notices the comedian behind her. āSorry. My daddy has a potty mouth,ā She apologizes, sounding not at all sorry. Richie just shrugs.
āThatās alright, cutie. Iām used to it. People are always calling me-ā
āTrashmouth,ā He finishes in sync with her dad.
Richie grins about as bright as Eddie blushes.
That was so cute!
You know what this is
Eddie: I like you
Richie:
Eddie, looking in the first aid kit: WHY WOULD YOU FILL IT WITH CHEETOS
Richie, bleeding out: i thought it was funny at the time
donāt do it, or theyāll know your secret š
I saw It Chapter 2 twice, and something I only noticed the second time I watched It happened during the restaurant scene.
Richie calls Ben hot, and you know what Eddie does? He checks Ben out and nods.
I shit you not, this happens.
BITCH ME TOO TF
Eddie makes it out of the sewer because Richie carries him bridal style out of there. They get him to the hospital and he survives. They walk out of the hospital, Richie reluctantly reaches for his hand to help him to the car but Eddie takes his arm and pulls him in and kisses him on the mouth. Richie is in shock but kisses him back. When Eddie pulls away he says, āI can handle myself, ya know.ā Richie smiles and says, āYou sure can.ā Cut to Ben and Bev on that boat, cut to Bill and Mikeās phone call. Cut back to Richie and Eddie in Richieās red mustang, wide shot, Richie driving and Eddie excitedly reaches over to kiss him on the cheek in the same place he once kicked him with a socked foot. Richie laughs and looks at him briefly. Stanās voice over the scene, āBe who you want to be, be proud.ā Richie holds Eddieās hand. Zoom in on his smiling face. Cut to the aerial shot of Derry. End movie. Fuck everything.
i see everyone praising bill hader and james ransone for their portrayals in it chapter two but can i just give a shout out to mr. isaiah mustafa for being the literal backbone of this damn movie because damn he really brought everything to his performance with how frantically he wanted to get everyone back together like wow thank you for ur service sir
