I want you all to know that there are TONS of ways you can participate and be a strong ally through this movement. SO MANY, in fact, that I could actually categorize them into different DnD classes! So tell me - What Hero will YOU choose to defeat white supremacy? I’m rocking some pretty strong Bard vibes, myself.
Why is the fighter described as aggressive in almost every bulletpoint as though those aren’t antiblack stereotypes?
Why is the paladin a transmisogynistic caricature?
Why is the ambiguously brown cleric the one who has to clean up afterwards?
Why did you describe the rogue, your next black character, as a “sneaky mofo”?
Why is your next black character portrayed as some sort of mystic just for knowing shit that happened to her and her peers?
This is so painfully stupid and I hope you feel bad for yourself after subjecting us all to your awful, childish takes on the BLM protests.
This is exactly what i mean by when i say white people treat our lives and fight for humanity as some kind of game or facet of their ya uprising story, you should be ashamed of yourself, people are dying, open your wallets and stop making shit like this
Watch: Poet Porsha Olayiwola heartbreakingly reminds us all that black women’s lives matter too.
“Men and boys are seen as the primary target of racial injustice,” AAPF associate director Rachel Gilmer told TakePart in May. “This has led to the idea that women and girls of color are not doing as bad, or that we’re not at risk at all.”
But studies show otherwise: Black women are killed and sexually assaulted by the police, and incarcerated at almost three times the rate of their white female counterparts. Yet news coverage of these cases are focused largely on the relationship between law enforcement and black men.
From the linked article above. None of this diminishes the importance of any Black Lives Matter protests or the lives of black men.
ik i said it before but if you care about black artists you should really be spreading the word and helping out Amina Mucciolo rn
she’s a black, autistic, queer woman and this is the second time a big brand has profited off of her & her ideas without even so much as acknowledging they were hers to begin with.
Lisa Frank and Hotels(.)com literally caused her to be evicted in October by stealing her home design for a pop-up hotel. neither companies have issued an apology or compensated her for this to this day.
right now, LOL Surprise & MGA Entertainment are profiting off using her likeness for a doll she did not consent to, and she is not being acknowledged or compensated.
also, MGA Entertainment is the parent company of Bratz as well for those who were unaware. just thought that was interesting
UPDATE 6/8/20: her original gofundme from 8 months ago has been funded, she now has a new gofundme for her current situation
there’s also an easily shareable thread of this information on twitter
you should still support her further by spreading the word, boycotting these companies, and supporting her shop & buying her art or funding her directly
more out of context au stuff this time feat. scoutma B’^)

one time i was in a pub in london and saw lemonade on the menu and i was like mmmm lemonade!!! but i’ve been to australia and been tricked before so i was like hey is this actual lemonade lemonade or is it just sprite and she was like it’s actual lemonade so i ordered some and she brought it back and it was sprite. i hate england
certified iconic post

Corporate business models are built on under paying workers and letting the government subsidize the difference. Also, let's lose the 'poor people' trope, this is more mainstream than we want to admit.
extensive thread of blm related petitions that still haven’t reached their goal
Now what? After 3 weeks of protests and educating ourselves and educating others, how do we keep the momentum going for this civil rights movement? How do we make permanent change?

Covid is not over and black lives still matter. Stop trying to "go back to normal" when shit is still happening.
Stop going on trips and going to restaurants without masks.
Keep educating yourself and protesting and calling and donating and signing petitions.
Wear a mask. End white supremacy. Defund police.
I know it's tiring but it's not over for either thing even though people are pretending it is. I know the overlap is exhausting. But be safe, social distance, and keep fighting the good fight.
an egyptian lesbian activist just committed suicide in canada. she couldn't live with trauma she went through since getting arrested in 2017 for raising the pride flag. they have ruined her in every way possible. while westerns celebrate pride, please remember those of us who can't even stay alive. her name was Sarah Hegazy.
basically if youre in the place to educate yourself on these topics and you arent

a harm reductionist,
for decriminilization,
and giving the land back
i really do not think your assertions of “ACAB” or “be gay do crimes” or “revolution” hold much weight
this is getting a lot of questions that could be solved with a google search into any of these topics, so i just want to respond with my own that isn’t: if you advocate for abolishing the police force but don’t support prison abolition for [x] reason—what happens to prisons in a post-police society?
you might come up with several answers here.
shit, i don’t know. we need prisons as prisons are to A) withhold certain people from harming their communities, B) punish certain people, C) kill certain people.
uh, i guess i can kind of answer this. the criminal justice system still exists. why don’t we just leave those people in charge? they’re not cops! and we should definitely let people who have committed non-violent offenses go. drug charges are stupid.
ok, i feel a little more confident answering this. we need to change the prison model for the better and follow the example of countries with restorative justice practices. incarcerated people need better access to healthcare and education, as well as access to opportunifies post-prison so that they are less likely to face reincarceration.
wait. if we’re abolishing the police for upholding white supremacy and terrorizing marginalized communities, we need to abolish a lot of shit. restorative justice sounds cool, i agree with that guy above. but shouldn’t these efforts be run by the communities affected? wasn’t the problem a white supremacist state? wasn’t the goal community terrorism? wasn’t the power taken out of our hands, especially the hands of people being systematically criminalized? i think i have things to read about.
anyway, whatever your conclusion: here are some things to read about.
