@82pressing notice “how to lose an argument” renjun’s smau on the roommate series will be delayed until further notice, i moved into a new house a week ago, so the internet needs to be transferred— the situation here in the uk is that you have to call someone to schedule a date for them to connect the internet to the socket. someone arrived three days ago; i thought there would be internet so i could post the smau. HOWEVER, that person just connected it to the wall (socket) and said someone else needs to come and to connect it. that could take a week or even a month to organise especially scheduling it so it will be a while before i can post renjun’s smau. thank you

everything went according to plan, locking them in the room— they spent another hour hanging out, and usual keeho and haechan made a lot of concerning things, but it made everyone laugh they actually act the same.

they finally leave annie's apartment, jeno drops yn off at her own place as the group chants before they leave to kiss on the cheeks when dropping her which never happened. it was amazing to be honest such a great last plan, but yn was bothered by annie who is gone somewhere she asks gawon about it but she didn't know which was a weird thing after spending literal weeks emotionally torturing everyone into making them reconcile and coming to an end by agreeing to haechan and keeho locking them in the plan.

without a word, he reached into the back pocket of his jeans and paused, a hint of hesitation in his movements whatever he held was clearly something he was proud to have bought, something that mattered to him since day one quietly and softly he spoke " i was about to give this to you that day but i guess i was too late"

slowly retrieving his hand from behind his back, his fingers gripped the item so tightly it was as if it might vanish at any moment. for yn, her mind definitely vanished instantly as she saw what it was; it made her the villain in the story.

what he was holding was a velvet box as he slowly opened it, she saw that inside was something very precious and beautiful— a promise ring. she completely broke down; it made her feel guilty remembering what annie said about "paying a lot just to see his reaction when you told him." he was preparing for more years with her, wanting to stay forever, while she was getting ready to leave.

a total chaos inside, she is breaking down completely sobbing as jeno is slowly cracking his eyes look glossy too, yet he stays composed barely though— "when you keep asking why bracelets and not rings i know you’re just joking, but when you mentioned it. i actually thought about buying it for you. i stopped myself though, because i don’t want to give you something with such a big meaning while I’m still asking myself if i deserve you and to be with you forever after everything you’ve done for me.....

you might even found me creepy because how serious am i with all of his maybe i was for you." he laughed at his brief explanation, not hearing anything but the sound of sobbing her sobbing. without a second thought he slipped the small box back into his pocket and, slowly and carefully, pulled him into his arms it felt so good— the longing to feel this warmth again was deeply satisfying to fulfill they looked perfectly fit together, as if they were made for each other.

she completely accepted it without hesitation or resistance, calming down a bit jeno felt it as he closed his eyes, resting his chin on top of her head and hugging her tightly there where no crumbs were left behind— the apartment looked different now as they finally talked about the things that needed to be done, ending it with a hug after a long tiring day.

time flew by but they didn’t realise it, forgetting as they were truly touch starved; unlike the rest, they were bored and starved unable to hear them anymore— haechan was sprawled on the hallway floor, while jisung was too giddy imagining the end of his “parent” love life and even asking if "can the bridesmaid be a boy too?", mark being mark with his “yeah yeah,” chenle sighed loudly acting he is waiting for an interview, keeho leaned on annie’s door like a beggar, for gawon..... the girl definitely needed a proper break from keeho, haechan, and especially from mark they drives her crazy while annie…? she went M.I.A.

keeho decided to guess the passcode which he guessed it opened instantly it made him dropped to the floor as he was using the door to lean in acting he was starved for days and just for it to changed as he saw the two hugging before he said something he heard a childish yipee you know who is it— making them break the hug perplexed from them as they bombarded them with questions.

"SO?" "YEAH BROOO" "MY PARENTS RECONCILIATION ARC" "DID YOU GUY KISS?" "FINALLY, NOW GAWON WHERE THE MONEY YOU BET" a total chaos.

his expression changes immediately, he never knew this— she continued if she ends her throat might tighten again, trying not to put on a cry show for him. "you were...."

jeno was ready to interrupt and pull him to his warmth. however, he wants to hear her, even if it aches him seeing her be vulnerable— "you were good at everything." his brows were furrowed tightly, trying to understand her.

"you were talented, sporty… everyone liked you, friends and even strangers, you gave me everything i never asked for, and i kept wondering if i deserved it and how i could ever give back what you gave me, since gifts were your love language." now, it was jeno’s turn to receive all that killings.

once she starts, she never ends it, so she kept going, even though tears were spilling. "you do all these things for me, even how complicated, showing up even your busy, remembering everything, even niche things, supports me through stupid things or smart things, and all i could really offer back... saying thank you"— he was speechless because he knew she offered so much too both mentally and physically for him, which instantly made his world feel better and motivated him to keep going and spoil her.

before he can even interrupt she continued, "i know it sounds so stupid even annie said that to me. however, it felt like you gave me parts of yourself so much, and it stresses me how i can't match that. i don't deserve you because i'm too..."

ordinary, before she could say the word, she broke down completely her walls had given up. likewise, jeno knows the word maybe because he walked that same path as a kid— he was signed up for every lesson day and night so his parents could prove that their son is talented. the word “failure” became ingrained in his mind; his parents pushed him to be strong and hide his emotions, even telling him that crying is a sign of weakness.

how could this even be the same situation for her? maybe the first time he saw her in the cafeteria their eyes met for just seconds, and that brief moment completely changed his life; after many dates, she made him feel truly loved, not someone who constantly questioned his achievements or his next goal in life and never asked him to be more— she was the first to reassure him that he didn’t have to prove himself everyday, and the first one to tell him that crying isn’t a sign of weakness.

all he wanted was to hug her, not because she was crying though maybe that was the reason— "do you think that's all you've given me?" it was his turn to speak she didn't answer, though the silence itself had already told him everything he needed to hear.

yn felt someone breathing on top of her head and when she looked up there he was standing in front of her, how didn’t she hear his steps? her knees felt weak especially when he leaned forward, trapping her in the corner of the tall shelves— she swore she was at the door but how did she end up in the corner of the living room? the room suddenly felt too warm— "i liked being around you because you made me feel like i didn't have to prove anything all the time....

you were the only person i never felt pressured around to show you my achievements and the way i have excuses to skip something just to be with you, unlike before the excuses were me being sick and in the hospital time to time, because they do not believe my body struggles."

wow a crazy plot twist for both of them as they realize they love each other in completely different ways— she feels insecure coming from a family where money was a problem so whenever she got a gift all she can do is say thank you. on the other hand, for him who comes from a place where he was controlled head to toe, and now that he’s finally free, all he wants to do is spoil her with all of the love language, showing his gratitude.

her eyes stung before she could stop them, realizing once again how badly they misunderstood each other. It had been a crazy day for both, and neither knew how this could have happened on this day; neither was prepared, yet there they were alking about it.

024. right thing to do

the hallway was too quiet for Yn's liking. sure, it would be quiet because no one is always walking in the hallway, but there's something that smells too odd, and for a girl who can read the room, she should be alerted, but it's her friends of course they are not planning anything behind her back. Well, except keeho

at 273 annie’s apartment, she unlocked the door with the passcode, barely even opening the door as she noticed the light was far too dim for a party. shaking her head in disbelief, she wondered if the whole 6 pm party thing had been a joke after all.

"hello?" she peeked her head through the door, but there was no answer, so she had no choice but to step fully inside she set her purse on the floor, bracing herself for keeho's jumpscare, but nothing happened. but, she suddenly froze spotting something far scarier than keeho— jeno sat on annie’s couch, staring at her as if he were waiting for her.

before the girl uturn, the door slammed behind her as she flinched— "ANNIE'S ORDER SO TALK NOW OR FOREVER PEACE" "DUMBASS IT'S HOLD YOUR PEACE" "SAME THING." she knows that voices, it was keeho yelling outside the door and gawon who is correcting the boy's grammar.

silence absolute silence; they betrayed her. the feeling was different, heavier after a whole year without any proper explanation, even though how it hurts the warmth from both of them still lingers, and the love was still clear— it was no joke but they didn’t expect this to be how they would meet again; jeno knew since annie had threatened him an hour ago.

neither yn nor jeno said anything for a while, the silence between them almost suffocating. the girl was still in shock, her eyes darting to the ceiling, the floor, or counting the lights— because in her mind, looking directly meant trouble. meanwhile, the boy was watching her quietly and patiently waiting again.

the girl who once clung to him had become a weirdo who distanced herself from him. it hurt him so bad, how did they go from this type of feeling they swore it wouldn't happen—

he speaks first, breaking the silence carefully and quietly, "the floor would melt off." silence filled in, "you've avoided me too much now yn" straight to it as he thinks of annie's advice being straight into it, tell your thoughts you want to say to her. likewise, for the girl who was silent and caught off guard as he continued to speak,

"i have a lot of questions, and i know you have answers to that" first kill, "where did i go wrong?" double kill, "i give you a lot space, maybe you will tell me in the end" triple kill, "you said we will fix everything together" quadra kill, "you didn't even ask for my opinion at all as if you shuts me down i keep it calm but... i'm hurt" pentra kill.

that hits harder than she expected because she understands it perfectly, and they put that rule when they argue; communication was their priority.

the girl decided to look at the poor boy after all, she doesn't deserve to act like when in reality he was the real victim when looked at him she winced, seeing jeno finally smile a little but it was small, and tired as if he had waited for years for explanations....

she looks down at her hands, avoiding his eye once again because she knows this part when she watches those drama, this part was the hardest part ever, always was; he noticed she was struggling, he couldn't help but reassure her "take it slow and easy yn" her throat tightens so bad because after she had done he still understood her as if to calm her down.

piece by piece, it slips slowly he deserves to know it— jeno watches her carefully, waiting. "i thought breaking up with you was the right thing to do."
