Okay so I have no idea what is wrong with my blog??
My gifs look perfectly okay when I look in dashboard or in editor but on the blog they look completely messed up and even cut weirdly? has tumblr changed something in the time I was away? help ;-;

Anyone else annoyed as fuck that the Infinite Scrolling on Tumblr can’t be turned off now?
I preferred having pages for multiple reasons.
1) It’s easier to find stuff (especially on your Likes page)
2) If your dashboard automatically refreshes when you have infinite scrolling, good luck in finding where you were before.
3) I don’t know about your guys’ computers but mine can’t take having 100+ posts loaded all at once without lagging and shit. It just gives up on loading the gifs after scrolling for like 3 minutes.

It was fine before, If someone wanted Infinite scrolling they could leave it on, if they wanted the Block style posts when searching they could have it and only have to select it ONCE. Why take away the pages option? What good did that do anyone?

This one is my newest obsession, and let me tell you, it has one of the BEST manhwa otps I've had the pleasure to read of and it's shockingly wholesome considering it involved monsters, human experiments, and death!

THE PLOT
The plot is really engaging; it's not much of a mystery, so the real interest is in how the characters react to the things happening to them and how they choose to act. Most of the time, they surprise me (in a good way), and the interactions & dialogues between them made me unable to put it down!
This one is definitely a character-driven story, so let's talk about them for a second!
SICA WOLF
Sica Wolf is the protagonist of the story. She is a beautiful, tiny and (honestly) fluffy looking sorceress who is too pure and sweet for this world. This world tries to put her down, with traumatic experiences in her past that convince her she is a monster and make her prone to believing people will hate her or try to hurt her. And does this precious bean blame them? Even when she's done nothing to deserve their hate but only tries to help and protect others? NO SHE DOESN'T! She thinks it's to be expected and she understands why they act like this. She is too precious and sweet for this world and must be protected at all costs!
KARSUS LIAN
Luckily, she meets Karsus; a handsome swordsman and master aura user, who has no lack of self-confidence, is laid back and is quite blase about killing and stuff. He is the perfect match for her, since he is always honest with her, constantly tackles her fears and unabashed. Of course, he too has a tragic past, one that makes him resistant to the idea of creating lasting relationships
THE ROMANCE
Featuring: Hand Holding! Cheek Kissing!! REAL Kissings!!! Chemistry!

Honestly, these two are adorable from the get-go. Sice is not very familiar with how to create human relationships, which means she has no restraints. She doesn't fear getting physically close to people or to do whatever to make them feel better. Karsus, on the other hand, simply doesn't care, and his promiscuous and flamboyant manner makes him very quick to show physical affection.
Of course, he normally keeps it at physical affection only, but both Sica and he feel some kind of instant connection that puts them very much at ease with one another.
Which means... we get a pretty touchy-feely romance that features a couple who are pretty comfortable with each other from the get-go - they are touchy-feely, they kiss a lot (yes! a lot! And no need to wait for chapter 150 for it to happen!), they are super honest with each other, super affectionate, and super unafraid to let other people in on the secret, too! Quite frankly, they are a breath of fresh air in the manhwa world and their interactions made me unable to stop reading!

This is THE WEBTOON. The one that started it all. I study Japanese and love manga and one of my friends recommended this one. When he explained about the manhwa, I knew I had to try it out.
The story goes something like this: It’s our world, only one-day 10 years ago dungeons (like the ones in RPGs) show up in RL and people (called Hunters) start getting powers in order to be able to combat them. Our hero is one such person, except he is super UNDERpowered. He’s, like, the bottom of the bottom. Due to some circumstances, he cannot stop his work as a Hunter, despite how dangerous it is. On one such dangerous job, things take a turn for the worse. When Jin Woo wakens from the ordeal, he discovers something different... he can now see a ‘system’, like in video game, of his real-life stats. And more than that... he can now level his stats up??
My Thoughts: Omg, this webtoon is SO GOOD. One of my absolute favorite tropes in manga is that of the underdog that grows OP af. There is nothing I love more than someone who is underestimated and looked down on proving everyone wrong and becoming something to be reckoned with, and this webtoon is basically Zero to Hero: The Webtoon™
Jin Woo is so freaking cool I can’t. I have NEVER had such a reading experience. You know what I mean, right? One where you fist pump at the hero’s successes, squeal at how freaking COOL he is at the fight scenes, rant at people for looking down at him as if these imaginary characters could hear you, and just basically have to calm yourself down as you read because it’s just a manhwa. But damn is it hard to calm myself down while reading this.
SOLO LEVELING is badass af, and if that sounds like something you might like, I think you should totally give it a chance!
It is also, I feel compelled to add, a super cool series of novels. There are 14 volumes of the original novel, and I HAD to go read them because I could not handle the cliffhangers of the webtoon. The novels can be found under the title ‘Only I Level Up’, and there are several translations available. The one I read I felt was the best, not in terms of accuracy to the source (since I have no knowledge of Korean as of yet, I couldn't judge that) but in terms of it reading like a book. It took me a week but I finished it all and I am super excited to see the upcoming scenes translated to manhwa form!!
Honest Drama Title: Shameful Adults Make Cute Teens’ Life Miserable for 12 Episodes Straight For “Their Own Good”.
So, before we get to the spoilery bits, if you just want a couple of sentences of recap, I really enjoyed this one! It took me two to three episodes to REALLY get into it, but I was smooth sailing after that, and the kids totally won my heart!
- So, this one requires your suspension of disbelief; That this school exists. That the Horrible Mothers’ Squad is real. That the dorm rooms would be comprised of important characters to the plot only (I mean, how come Real King and Beak Ho are together in their dorms?? Is that, like, a school rule? Pair the top 5% and bottom 5% together??) That someone whose job is to help children get the perfect application so they’ll be accepted to ivy league schools would truly believe that kids who have never done cheerleading (or any form of physical exercise because their grades are their holy grail) would WIN CHEERLEADING REGIONALS AFTER TWO MONTHS OF PRACTICE. I just. I can’t with this. Why are the adults in this show so dumb?
- Jung Eun Ji is so freaking pretty and I flail about it hardcore. I mean, I KNEW she was pretty. But the dancing scenes, and the crinkly smiling scenes, and that freaking nose y’all... not gonna lie, I am a bit gay for her haha
- Those crinkly eyed kids are killing me. We have two of them! Not one, but two!! Ah, my heart.
- Come to think of it, the whole cast is just A++! Even the villains! I especially felt for Soo Ah because, yes, she did crappy things, but with THAT mother I understood where she came from. This is not to excuse her actions, it’s just to say that there is hope for her yet because she is not an evil person, she is just a person faced with unreasonable expectations that define her whole relationship with her own self-worth.
-97.56% of the adults in this show are utter human garbage and need to be ashamed of themselves, and the remaining 2% need to be hugged and protected. Alas, hugs and protection are a bit scarce in this one.
- The Bromance game is strong in this one. Men being there for one another and protecting each other and creating their own tight family together and being each other’s safe space is a total kink of mine so let’s just say I was a BIG fan of this one. Especially since this IS kind of love triangle, so it always has the potential to ruin good friendships just because the writers need some More Drama.
- The drama felt oddly loooong considering it’s relative short episode length. I could’ve actually done with an episode or two less, all the awfulness in this school started to wear on me near the end ^^”
Heads Up: Random rumblings ahead! No point to this, just wanted to write some thoughts so here I am.
I’ve been on a kick of rewatching favorites again, especially because I’m so busy and tired, and so I found myself watching BBC Sherlock again.
And can I just say; I’ve missed these idiots?
The first episode is still so good, my god.
First of all, it’s visually interesting. Like, this is one of those things I feel like people don’t talk about enough. Yes, the characters are amazing, but it’s also really fun to watch from a technical point of view. It makes it a VIEWING experience. I often LISTEN to shows instead of watching (I put on a show and listen to what’s happening while doing other things, instead of actively watching it), but with Sherlock I tend to actually watch because I want to see all these interesting things and little insights into Sherlock’s mind.
Moving on to the characters & story - God, I love how they did it. First, I think it’s not for nothing that everyone thinks of them a couple. See it romantic or platonic, these two are soul mates, and they feel it from the first moment they meet.
Sherlock Holmes is a brilliant man, and he knows it. So why is it he is surprised and pleased by Watson’s open admiration for him? John Watson is a guarded man, a man who has seen a lot, and so why is it he trusts and follows Sherlock Holmes? They see something in each other, a PROMISE, that can only be fulfilled by the other. This person will give me what I need, their souls seem to whisper to each other. Again, I’m not necessarily speaking in romantic terms, although I do think the border between romantic and platonic for these two is a very thin one, in any version of the due, because of that deep, ingrained connection.
Sherlock Holmes actively works to get John Watson as his flatmate - everyone keeps speaking of how he has no friends, and yet here he is, basically deciding “I’ll have this one” and doing everything to make sure it happens. This, from a man who sees everyone around him as dumb. Sure, he equivalents John to a skull, but did you notice how before no one even came close to comparing to that skull? He would talk to himself, and now... now he talks to John. Crazy!
And John. John, John, John. He is kind of like a knight in his majesty’s (Sherlock’s lol) army. He looks at Sherlock like he is something wonderous, he protects him (from outside sources as well as himself), he is as much fulled by danger and violence as Sherlock, and Sherlock gives him the freedom to follow that. No judgment, no scorn, but rather admiration. Sherlock encourages a side of John that he probably found shameful before. And here is this man, pretty much saying “that’s the best part about you”.
I have always seen the overall story of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson to be a love story, and a bloody brilliant one at that.
