Cloud was born to Claudia Strife on August 11th, 1986 and raised by her alone in a small house in Nibelheim, his home town. One day when he was little, President Shinra killed his mother in cold blood. Taking away any innocence left in the boy. His mother did nothing wrong! Why did she have to die?!
Soon plans for revenge against all who had wronged him began to flash through his mind, and Cloud left for Wutai. His uncle was a Kitsune who cared, and he was trained in the art of Kitsune fighting. Cloud even made his own blade to spar with, First Tsurugi.
Cloud turned out to be better in skill then his uncle, who offered him a place to stay for the rest of his life. Cloud declined, saying that Shinra must pay for all the hell they have caused not only to him but to others too. This worried Cloud’s uncle, but there was no stopping Cloud. He was off to Shinra to murder the president and put his mother’s spirit at ease.
Now he’s a cadet in the Infantry, hiding his Kitsune heratige from anyone who sought to use his abiltites for dark deeds.
