The atmosphere between them is quick to be a comfortable one once theyâd started talking, as though the previous hostility between the two of them had just melted when theyâd started talking and thereâs even a part of him which thinks that he and Hyejeong are almost back to how their were all those years ago and the reason for the hostility in the first place is almost foggy and lost for him.
He ends up chuckling at her words, shaking his head a little in the process. âYah, itâs really the alcohol that makes the bad decisions, donât blame it on the club. Iâm in the club a lot and Iâd like to think that I donât make a lot of bad decisions.â Taehyun ends up shooting a somewhat cheeky grin at the female, maybe it was too soon to tease her about the whole incident last night, but his cheeky grin soon fades upon hearing Hyejeongâs words and he can only mumble his agreement quietly. âNo, I donât think all the decisions last night were bad ones. Definitely not.â A small wave of his hand follows, together with a small smile. âHey, you would do the same for me, even though Iâm not sure Iâd get into the same type of trouble. But really, thereâs really no need to thank me.â Truth to be told, itâs not rare for Taehyun to see such scenes inside the club, in fact, it a much more common occurrence than one would think, but usually the security or the bouncers would step in before anything drastic would happen, he wasnât usually someone to meddle, after all, his job was just a bartender and heâd really much rather keep it at that. But then again, last night was just an exception, Hyejeong was always an exception for him anyways.
Another shy laugh leaves him, as he ends up holding onto the girlâs hand even tighterâshe hasnât brought up the topic and it really does feel that itâs just some unspoken thing between them, the both of them wanting to be close to each other, yet not wanting to talk about the topic. âWell, we did manage to meet out of the sharehouse, which is an achievement. Who knows, maybe weâd be able to meet more nowâŠ?â Itâs probably a little embarrassing to admit but he is shy and always a little shy when it comes to him talking about the school where heâs studying in. Taehyun knows of course, that the school heâs studying in is considered âtopâ to some, yet when the topic comes up, he just usually shrugs it off. SeoulArts was the school and the only one that heâd wanted to get into ever since heâd had his mind set on picking up his education again. âItâs not..reallyâŠtop. It was luck that I got in, I swear.â Itâs his turn to be surprised now, his memory was always foggy about them talking about their future goals before, truthfully he thinks back then he was more focused on the present. âPhotography? What type of photography are you into? Like the really artistic type? Or do you plan to be a photographer for journals and such? I havenât really had much experience with taking photos. I draw rather than take photos, is thatâŠstrange?â
Another urge to slap herself across the face. She shouldâve known better than to tell him how the club scene worked as she knew that he lived in it to work. When she thought she couldnât gotten anymore embarrassed, the coiled feeling in her gut proved her wrong, making her think that now her stomach was just a bunch of knots that might not be able to get straight again. âDoes this mean I should get away from the alcohol? You know, so I donât do bad decisions again like last nightâs.â, a similar mischievous smile teased on her lips but Hyejeong didnât let it rise; he was right. Not all decisions were bad and it was mostly because they locked lips at the end. âI didnât regret the other things, though.â, the words were quiet but with no one around them, she was sure the boy could heard her.
The thought of meeting Taehyun more frequently around the share house fluttered her heart as it felt much more intimate than bumping onto him in a club or a restaurant. She lived here as well and she could ran into him while she was dressed in her pajamas or casual clothing. Despite the anxiety of when would they meet, there was excitement as well to see him every way. âHopefully thereâll be some warning in advance when we would meet. I gotta look my best.â, her lips quivered just a bit before it beamed a cheeky smile, fighting over her shyness and embarrassment with her own joke as Hyejeong flipped a bit of her hair with the free hand. As she learned more about Taehyunâs life ever since they lost contact, the brunette swelled with pride for him, knowing how hard he had back then. Maybe he hadnât reached the peak yet but she had full faith in him for it. âHey, however you got in there, you did it in a honest way, right? And youâre here now. Thereâs no excuse for you to not be proud of yourself.â, she patted the back of his hand that clasped her other hand, a soft smile curling on her lips.Â
Her eyes couldnât pried away from his face for so long and her gaze stopped, lingered on the sight of his lips. Hyejeong felt a little shameful for focusing there a little longer than the rest of his face as she could remembered and traced back every second of the memory from last night in her head. âIâm trying to turn into the artistic style but I believe every style has its own artistic points.â, she cleared her throat as she steered her thoughts into the conversation. âI like to take pictures of people! And food! Theyâre just interesting in their own ways, you know? For the future... I guess Iâll just see how everything turns out.â, Hyejeong shrugged her shoulders lightly, not wanting to peeked into the vast uncertainties of the future. âYou draw? Can I see them one day? Itâs not strange because people has their own talents. Drawing means capturing things that you see or might be beyond your imagination, right? Photography can do that as well. They... Somehow just fits for each other, compliments one another.â
