"all his relationship with women FAIL which means he doesnt like WOMEN" okay can we talk about canon lets talk about canon eddies relationship with shannon failed BECAUSE of shannon he loved shannon romantically and sexually and he wanted to make the relationship with her work but SHE wanted a divorce and then she DIED before eddie could emotionally process any part of their relationship which was wrought with trauma betrayal and pain. Lets talk about his CANON relationship with Ana he was IMMEDIATELY physically attracted to her and he LIKED his romantic relationship with her but he was not in love with her. He was having serious and intense ptsd symptoms when they were together which contributed to their break up along with the fact that he just didnt love her. Again his wife who was his first serious romantic and sexual relationship ever DIED. Lets talk about MARISOL lets talk about CANON. eddie was enthusiastically sexually attracted to marisol but he was not in love with her. THAT relationship failed bc of his lasting trauma from his dead WIFE who he loved romantically AND sexually. Not being in love with someone =/= not being attracted to them or any other member of their gender. In case this was unclear.

Two years later eddie seems to have no interest in any romantic relationship with women and we dont have a canon answer to that. Is it because hes in love with buck and hasnt processed it? That's my favorite answer but we dont know.

You can interpret all of this information however you want but you actually cant refute bisexual eddie in favor of gay eddie without sounding like an asshole at best and a biphobe at worst.

butch eddie who likes being chivalrous for femme buck. who holds her doors and pours her drinks and pays her tabs and takes care of her car but mostly drives her around. and buck who is so scared of leeching off of eddie until eddie, very red, admits that she... wants to do these things.

also eddie not correcting them isn’t even a case of “it doesn’t matter what they think so it’s not important for me to correct them”. it literally does matter that they think he’s married to buck; it’s the specific reason why they’re giving him such a hard time and why they’re looking at him for murder. homophobia + “it’s always the husband”. and eddie still doesn’t even try to say that they’re not married. it’s not that he tried to convince them and then they didn’t believe him. it’s not that he doesn’t think it would make a difference. he literally just doesn’t deny it. and! if i was watching this episode out of context, there’s actually nothing at all in the episode itself that indicates to the viewer that they’re not married. like literally not a single line.

a case like this with a serial killer and a bunch of men going missing in a small town over the years and a corrupt/incompetent local sheriff would definitely be national news. and crime podcast fodder. not even just an episode but probably a whole series digging into The Killer’s Motivations. a netflix documentary. a media circus trial. i do kind of wonder if it’s going to keep coming back so buck has to keep reliving what happened to him over and over… :)

i think if someone i knew really well pulled out a “OH SO I DESERVE TO DIE KILL ME NICK KILL ME” for the first time ever i would be a little more perturbed so i refuse to believe this is the first time buck has done this to eddie.
