It do be like that sometimes
Some take you on a journey for sure.

I see you little commenter, and I love you <3
The backbone of fandom ā£
Me, having to finally actually write down A Fic⢠so a total of three people can read it
The eternal struggle ā£
It happens too often!!!Ā
āif readers take the time to leave comments on fics, then authors should at least take the time to reply.ā
gently pats you on head. Babe. They already wrote the fic. For free. They gave you thousands of words to be judged and criticized. They donāt owe you anything on top of that.
If I may add to this, the type of comment received can affect a writer's reply.
It's rare for writers to not reply to a heartfelt, detailed comment of their story!
But those comments that are a simple 'great fic' or 'when's the next update?' may not always get a reply and I can see why!
Writers give the gift of free stories because they love the characters. They worked hard on that.
It would be nice if more readers would understand that giving a nice comment to a writer is also a gift and you probably shouldn't expect anything back. Give your gift with love and move on. ā£
"But you already wrote that trope."
