here’s a series of illustrations i did for my junior thesis last semester, based on the book “This Is How You Lose the Time War” that I had made into a physical book 👉👈

i also made a character sheet — i understand that the book is kinda meant to be pretty abstract, so red and blue arent really supposed to have fixed forms. but i had to come up with something to draw for my style of illustration 🫠 i hope i did them justice somewhat

i didnt have time to finish the last illustration which was a shame bc i felt like it would have wrapped up the series perfectly, but heres the sketch of what i planned for it to look like

Thank you!! It's currently sitting stagnant because I've locked tf in for university & career stuff, but I'm hoping to continue it in the summer if I can scrounge up the time then.

Reasons Carpenter from The Silt Verses is better than Arthur Lester Malevolent in every way:

Actually embraces her aromanticism instead of participating in a fucked marriage.

Is also the gods' favorite but doesn't allow herself to be used as their chewtoy.

Her companion only fucked her over once instead of every other episode.

Like a foot taller than Arthur.

Eats pancakes instead of people.

Had the guts to go on a murder spree to avenge a child sacrifice instead of chickening out because of "morals."

Has also killed way more cultists than Arthur.

Random people also fall in love with her but Carpenter doesn't chop their arms off.

Better at drowning people.

Hayward should have been an artist. I joke but like genuinely. “James Hayward? He keeps sitting on his ass, joking around, telling stories.” His obsession with music. Paige telling him he’s not a bad writer. His comment that he should’ve gone into acting. And then to stop his mom from worrying he’d never get out of the tenements he becomes a cop instead. I’m explaining this badly but you see it right
