Personally I think a lot of what Marcus says about his home life is true, or at least based on truth. He probably WAS "homeschooled" until he met AB&C, he probably DID move around a lot.

So something that's always confused me was the whole "grandma" thing. Why would Marcus claim his dad was away so he had to stay with his grandma? And that he didn't want to? He's at an age where he could reasonably stay home alone for a few days, and wouldn't loneliness be a more compelling argument than just "I don't want to spend time with my elderly grandmother"?

Also, he literally JUST told a huge lie about his grandma being dead, did he really forget that? (and besides that, he claims his real grandma is alive and well across the country, so this isnt even a lie based on truth!) And I don't think he was lying about Douglas being gone, either; in Leo vs. Evil, we see that Marcus being home alone isn't an uncommon occurrence.

My theory has always been that Marcus is talking about Krane in this scene. Think about it, Douglas & Krane have supposedly known each other for years and spent a lot of time together (they went on vacation together, they share multiple lairs, they did a couples' Halloween costume...) so how could Marcus not have met him? Also, we know Marcus is a little mimic sponge [affectionate], and we've seen him use the same Force choke move that Krane does, which is compelling evidence that they've met. Even his style and mannerisms are somewhat reminiscent of Krsne. Which says a lot about how he views the man... and that he thinks he's a creepy old guy.

I love this idea. Krane having more involvement in the story. Krane is very underdeveloped in the actual show, but that just allows fans room to theorize.
