I've definitely noticed a trend in media where the hero will beat up or kill a bunch of mooks, but then they'll let the big bad boss just walk away to prove that they don't stoop to the same level.

I'm not saying that creatives are consciously stating that it's okay to kill working class people but the bosses have to be left alive.

I am saying that some authors express an unconscious bias in their art.

The average human takes about 8 minutes to poop

The average human also poops 3 times a day, meaning in a single day

The average person spends about 24 minutes on the toilet.

Over the course of a week the average person will spend 2 hours and 48 minutes taking a shit

Over a month the average person will spend around 11 hours and 12 minutes expelling fecal material.

Over the course of a year the average human will spend a total of 5 days 14 hours and 24 minutes leaking logs.

Meaning assuming you live to sixty years old you will have spent about 3 weeks and 23 hours craping

So I realized after I wrote the part above

that the actual average time for the passing of the stool itself is 12 seconds.

However assuming your not a heretic who leaves the bathroom with a unwiped ass

The average time with wiping is 5-8 minutes

And I would calculate how much time you'd save in your life If you were committing acts of heresy and high treason in the bathroom.

But if you're the type of person who wants to know how much time they'd save by not wiping their rear

Then I sincerely hope you vomit from your own putrid stench

How do you overcome the fear of someone making fun of you or looking at you weird for wearing what you want that might not conform to their minds?

Another way you can think about it is, if your body is a temple, how you decorate it and adorn it to please the spirit inside is none of their business.

I recently got the 10th anniversary edition of my favorite book.

Not only is it just as good as I remember it being when I first read it.

I also still believe that annihilation is one of the best modern examples of cosmic horror done right.
