god i don’t even know where to begin with maya’s emotions toward clarke and bellamy and monty simply because i believe if she were in their place, fighting for her people, she would have one hundred percent done the same thing. imo jasper could never fully understand or forgive them for what they did because he honestly thought he could save everyone with no death except the bad guy and maya knew that it would never be as easy as that. even if he was able to kill cage there was no guarantee that would free skaikru and what was going to happen to all 300 of her people after they couldn’t use the grounder blood to stay alive? maya knew early on that she wasn’t only signing away her own life by helping the delinquents but also the lives of her people.

this is the reason i believe she would forgive clarke, bellamy, and monty for what they did at some point. she understands that you can’t always be the good guys, not when it comes to survival. she knows that idea very well. what tampers maya’s view is that she survived. she survived the genocide of her people and how does one move on completely from that, let alone move on with the people who did that? it’s an awkward, uncomfortable arrangement and maya probably struggles to even speak to any of skaikru for the first few months. because there’s always someone in the crowd who looks like her father or her teacher or her friend from class.
